Having read other reviews ours is slightly different. A lovely house with fine facilities but when you cannot get in until 1730 there is little time to take advantage of them. We were not aware of having to pre-arrange evening meal so had to go to a local village for a very average but not 'low cost' meal. Departed after...

An outstandingly beautiful spot, run by a formidable hostess. Mme Claudine is a super chef offering exquisite home cooked fayre. All guests served together, we lucked out with an English speaking guest. Welcoming to children, although she has high expectations of behaviour. Breakfast included homemade jams and cakes - I'm salivated thinking about it. Highly recommend.

Attractive site, tucked down below village of Pelussin, carefully tended grounds with lots of flowers and huge stream running down between main building and adjacent building. Great view from breakfast room. Friendly hosts, who were able to include me for dinner at last minute (only fairly good but beautifully presented) for which I was most grateful after long day. No...

.Listed as Water Mill hotel , Le Berthoir in Pelussin 18 minutes from Condrieu which I found on tripadvisor ...sounded very different it's located in Pilat Natural Regional Park and 40 minutes south of Lyon. Our GPS took usover the hills and through some breathtaking scenery although we were sure we were lost and a little concerned with what to...

Beautiful mini-chateau in the most lovely of surroundings, the sauna and pool were perfect, our room was really cute (sweets on the pillows were a nice touch) and the shower was actually part of the ramparts and in the tower!! MOST EXCELLENT! We ate in on the Saturday night and the food (home cooked) was sumptuous and our host had...

“Was in the St Exupery room - steep stairs up outside in adjacent building. I was put off by there being no key to the outside door, nor to the connecting room. The host just said the wolves couldn't open doors, which I found not very reassuring late at night when realised there was no way of closing my doors from the inside either. The room is on a steep set of steps going up to houses and hill behind. Curtains didn't keep out light. I find it disconcerting when the shower opens directly into the bedroom (and there is a large-ish step down) - likewise the loo with a sliding door, and the basin is in the bedroom too. Narrow beds, with rather dangerous ledge between bed and door.”
