We stayed in one of the cottages and found it very comfortable. While the cabin was dated, it was clean and cozy. We sat in the enclosed porch and gazed out on the lake for quite some time. The old tube tv needs to be replaced with a flatscreen led or lcd. Also, there needs to be a second tv...

My husband and I recently stayed at the Square Rigger Lodge, and enjoyed our time there. It is a basic hotel, in a nice location. The property is a bit older, and it looks like they are working on updates. It is definitely a property with good potential. The grounds were neat and well cared for. Our room was very...

Older motel with older furnishings. I paid $ 99 for an upstairs room facing the lake. The room rents for $134 and at that price, it is too high. Has small fridge in the room, bit no coffee maker. I wanted tea in the worst way, but had to get a cup of hot water from a restaurant when I...

Have been coming here for 30 years. The location of this property to the beach doesn't get any better. This year we were pleasantly surprised with some newly remodeled rooms, very nice. Elizabeth is always a willing to accomadate the best she can. This place lets you decompress almost instantly. It's a great place for children to experience or older folks to...

The level of cleanliness and the fabulous view at this price are a real bargain. We've paid far more for much less. The adjacent grocery store is extremely convenient, well stocked and also reasonably priced. Highly recommended!

This is a super clean motel on the "quiet side" of Door County. Most of the rooms face beautiful Lake Michigan with ample room to sit outside on the patio or deck. The owner is currently freshening up the rooms with new paint and bed coverings, wall mounted flat screen TVs, etc. I liked it before and it appears to...

We stayed overnight on a work trip in Door County. Our room was very clean. We didn't book the room but came in late and took the last room available. It was upstairs and overlooked the parking lot. I think this is one of only one or two rooms that don't have a lake view- but was still very nice....

Was not expecting to find this well kept, small resort on the quiet side of Door. Elizabeth was such fun to talk to when I made the reservation and she even went out of her way to insure a chemical free room. Very clean, comfy beds and a knockout view of the lake. We will return.

We traveled through the area for a day and stayed one night. Our room was neat and efficient. The a/c worked well . It was close to eateries and state park. The beach area is small but clean and sandy lake bottom.

The property and lodge are well worn and dated and in need of a lot of repairs. The sad thing is it has a spectacular lake view that with a good renovation, new updated interiors, and perhaps a tapas bar in the glassed enclosed area which was a restaurant and an increase in room rates could become a real attraction. the...
