After one night at Casa Francisca and peaceful Lago d'Orta, we changed our plans and extended our stay from 3 nights to 5, thankful that Martina and Max were able to accommodate us. The room was very clean, the bed comfortable, and the location quiet with lots of parking--in short, the perfect home away from home. In addition to plentiful breakfast supplies, there was ample cookware and basic condiments (e.g., salt, olive oil) for preparation of simple meals. Martina especially was very attentive without being intrusive. She readily shared her knowledge with great ideas about places to visit in the surrounding area. They also own the nearby gelateria, and make excellent gelato (nociola was my favorite flavor). The B&B is steps away from a private beach which was closed for renovation (didn't matter to us, as the weather was unseasonably cool and rainy); a public swimming area was available a few steps farther on. Less than an hour's drive to Lago Maggiore. Will definitely stay here again next time we are in the area.

We have been there last summer, for a week or so, beautiful place near the beach, kids friendly. Nice indoor relax space (whirlpool tub & sauna) , dining table in the backyard, sunny throughout the day. Easy to fix some dinner, kitchen more or less well equipped, lots of stores nearby. Car recommended, lots of parking place in front. Milena, Marida & children ( Milano, Italy)

Very nice quiet location with easy parking and great rooms - new and very clean. The owner was personally very attentive and the Jacuzzi in the garden was a great touch. Excellent self catering facilities and a very comfortable bed.

Massimilliano is a really lovely, charismatic guy who exemplifies the warm character of the Italians - he is so proud of his place, and wants to make your stay as comfortable and enjoyable as possible. It's in a perfect location, right next to the lake beach. The jacuzzi is great as is the rest of the garden which each room backs on to. Would definitely go back.

Located 50m from Lake Orta these little apartments are ideal. However it is Max, the owner, who became a friend and tour guide in just two nights that made staying here less like a place to sleep and more like a friendly home. I can't recommend him or the Casa enough! ps Cycling round the lakes is great

Great location (loved the lake), nice, spacious appartments and Massimiliano - the owner - is extremly welcoming and goes out of his way to help. We had a brilliant stay here, relaxing in the sauna and having bubbly in the jacuzzi under a clear blue sky. It might not be your usual "served" breakfast but it has everything you need and a little extra ;) and we found a new way to make coffee. The bathroom was big and clean, the bed comfy and we didn't mind our smaller TV as we never watched it anyway.Just be aware that the solarium are sunloungers and I am not sure where the fitness centre is but he definitely has bikes to get you fit! ;) It's right next to the beach and with the car you are around the lake and to neighbour Lago Maggiore easily. Had a lovely time and we will come again - speaking Italien!!

This was really great! On the edge of the Orta Lake but not in a crowded village. Warm Welcome by Massimiliano and great room to stay. Looked quitte new and very complete (even the kitchen), everything you need in a B&B. Free Coffee, Free Internet and free parking (on the road) and good breakfast in your own room/studio And, Jacuzzi 4 use (lovely) and a sun terrace to the South (great 4 getting a tan). 20 meters walk to the lake and 7 minutes to Orta san Guillio by Car. Great village to walk and eat! Wannago 4 pizza of great Italian food? Go to Pella on the other side of the lake. There are 2 resto's. One classy fish restorant and the other one is a original looking Italian resto with Great Calzone pizza's (I think the name was La Piazetta). We would come back to Casa Francisca B&B again!
