We returned to Pooley Bridge wondering how they had survived the floods and were very happy to find that despite a difficult year, Ullswater GH remains a top class B&B. I was a pleasure to stay again for 3 nights. The welcome was great, breakfast lovely and a very pleasant stay.

Stayed here for one night in October 2016 with my adult son in twin room #2. We arrived earlier than expected but were still welcomed for check in. The room was spotless and well appointed, the generous jar of shorties was especially welcome after a long drive. Information was given regarding local amenities such the local pubs and shops. Breakfast...

Fantastic B&B. Immaculate, centrally heated rooms, beautifully cooked breakfasts with fresh fruit, yogurt and cereals. David and Angela are excellent hosts with good local knowledge. Pooley Bridge is a lovely village with plenty of eating places. Bistro 1863 is particularly good.

This really is the perfect B and B: spotlessly clean, tastefully decorated, very comfortable, great location from which to explore the lakes, breakfast cooked to order with high quality ingredients but above all a friendly welcome from the owners. Nothing was too much trouble; we arrived very wet and muddy and had our wet boots and clothes whisked away to...
