After a recommendation from a customer at my pub I booked a few nights here. Can't speak highly enough. The people were very welcoming, the ale was superb and the food fantastic. Real pub food, done right.

Met up for lunch with my brother and his wife and their dog last Friday! What a menu, lots of variety especially as my brother is a veggie! The staff were so friendly and helpful while taking our order! After a very short wait the food arrived and it was gorgeous! Silence reigned over the table while we all tucked...

Lovely that the pub is dog friendly. After a really long walk we were really looking forward to a pub lunch, but it was just all pretty tasteless and like it had been got out of numerous packets from the freezer. It would be great if you could do a few things really well rather than trying to do everything...

A brilliant place to stop for just a bite and a pint or to stay over. Staff are excellent and cannot praise them highly enough. The Crown Inn was a favorite of ours when we often stayed here and we gave this place a try due to the change in management and are more than happy we did. Keep up...

Looks good from outside with lots of parking. Inside looks very tired and cramped. Very busy and noisy when we visited staff ignored our requests for menu. Tables were not particularly clean and were not being cleared quickly. Gave up and went elsewhere.

hi tudor thankyou for reviewing the Pooley Bridge Inn. We apologise that you did not get the experience we do our upmost to deliver. 25 of us ate Sunday lunch here on 11th Dec. The portions were large, the service very good and the quality of the food also great - not easy with a party of 25! We arrived via the steamer ferry and managed to eat 2 courses and coffee before having to catch the last ferry back.

Was staying nearby but decided to eat here. So glad we did. Place was friendly, warm and inviting. The choice of food exceptional, especially for those with a larger appetite. Ham Hock to die for and so was the beef bouginon cottage pie. Would recommend :0)

Never been somewhere so dog friendly. It was really busy but the food still came pretty fast and was really tasty. All pooches were well behaved and service was fast and friendly. Great atmosphere too, with lots of happy faces around the pub.

Delicious food, great value and lovely atmosphere. Great for families, the chef is very talented and we'd definitely visit and eat here again. The decor is 'oldie worldie' and comfortable, lovely wooden booths and some beautiful stained glass windows that are well worth a look.
