A building that could tell many stories excellently relived in the company of Anita and Ian its dedicated hosts. If you prefer a sedate stay, away from the modern day madness then the Old Rectory is for you. Full of creaky floorboards, vocal plumbing and echoes of the past. The breakfast has to be up there with the greats...delicious local...

Anika and Ian are unique hosts who went to great lengths to ensure that every aspect of our stay was perfect. Warm, friendly welcoming, made even more special by the delicious breakfasts, fresh flowers in our bedroom and, of course, the adorable dogs and puppies! Thank you both, we will be back! Best wishes Katie and Tel

Annika and Ian were the perfect hosts at their quaint, cosy, oldee worldly B and B in ancient Tintern. We visited on an Autumn weekend, the room was clean and comfortable with plenty of space for bags and Annika had made that extra effort to not only provide tea and coffee facilities in the room but to ensure we had...

The parking is across a well-trafficed street and luggage must be hauled up a driveway and then up narrow stairs. The room is very clean but small as is the bathroom. The bed is comfortable. The main road to Tintern was totally closed when we tried to get to the B&B. I called and was given some directions but we...

First let me apologise for the difficulty getting to us. The main road into Tintern was closed as it was collapsing into the valley and it needed urgent repair. Now finished thankfully and the road has been reopened. On our website we do say that the carpark is across the road and we would be happy to bring your bags...

Fabulous bedding, proper mattress, lovely sheets and feather pillows, makes such a difference. Lovely room very spacious, fresh flowers. Ian and Anika are very gracious hosts, you can tell they love having people in their beautiful home. Breakfast was truly amazing, if anything too much choice, ie 7 fruit juices to select from, probably 20 preserves all made locally with...

Wonderful host, couldn't have been more welcoming or friendly. Clean and tidy room with lovely pressed white sheets. Plenty of hot water for baths too. Breakfast a bit overwhelming as lots of different jams, marmalade and juices on offer but you can't complain there's not enough choice that's for sure.

Set in the beautiful welsh countryside overlooking the River Wye just a few hundred yards from Tintern Abbey sits a small B&B. With beautiful views and hosts to match, although we only stayed there for a short time we will definitely be going back, The rooms are well furnished in a comfortable style and the B&B includes a family suite...

We only stayed one night but wished we could have stayed longer. Anika and Ian were warm and welcoming. We loved the comfortable bed, big and deep with down pillows and cotton sheets. It seems trivial to mention bedding but so many places are let down with polyester sheets and pillows. Not here. The towels are also thick and fluffy...

We appeared rather late after looking around the exquisite Tintern Abbey. Anika was very obliging after having had a very busy day with new carpet installation. Two lovely rooms were made ready for us and my 75 year old mother. We all remarked on the special touches: lovely soft bed linen, King beds, quality towels and scented lotions and soaps....

Tintern itself has a lovely Abbey which is floodlit at night. The Anchor serves an excellent dinner. The Old Rectory is run by very generous hosts who want you to feel spoiled. The rooms are delightful. Our en suite had a lovely deep bath, super fast running water. Also had a little area outside to sit. The towels were soft,...
