This part of New Zealand is extremely beautiful. Raetihi Lodge is a little tough to get to although I didn't find the windy drive up bad at all. From previous reviews I was worried. There is an airport 5 minutes away and not expensive to fly....wish we had known that before we arrived. The breakfast is very good, I do...

Some locations have to be described as 'priceless' and Raetihi Lodge certainly falls into that category. The fantastic location, outstanding food and friendliness of all the staff more than compensates for the one minor criticism which is that most of the bedrooms are of modest proportions.

After a short boat ride from Te Mahia, you arrive at the picturesque Raetihi Lodge. It is a small resort, so you never feel crowded. It is the perfect place to relax, read a book, walk, bike or kayak. The food was excellent, and the staff very pleasant and attentive. My only negative issue, is although the resort is "non...

Reached by launch from the other side of the sound. The rooms are very comfortable, the facilities are good and the feeling very relaxed. They have kayaks and bikes for hire and you can swim from the jetty. Or just have a few drinks out on the verandah or on the lawn. Has the feel of a very well run...

Very beautiful location and a luxurious and comfortable place to stay. I had a truly excellent massage (best ever) with wonderful products (and being able to put on a robe and walk back to my room was relaxing too). The rooms are lovely with views down to the water. Breakfast and dinner were good quality. Only unexpected surprise was the...

My wife and I had a very nice one night stay at the peaceful Raetihi resort. The views of Kenepuru sound are stunning and the access to the resort by water taxi and the return to Picton with a little plane from the Nopera air strip were part of the enjoyment.

Raetihi lodge is a fantastic place to stay. You can do as much or as little as you like. Walking, cycling, kayaking. The rooms are very comfortable with views over Marlborough Sounds. The food is delicious and the staff very friendly and helpful.

Just paid our bill for 2 breakfasts and 1 dinner with wine for two. They have even charged us for the bottle of wine supposedly been sent by our travel company. The cost of everything was cents short of $210.00! This was after refunding the agents wine. The journey into the resort having been picked was a short drive up...

Stayed for 3 nights. We wanted somewhere quiet to stay and chill for a few days. We could not have done better. The location would be very hard to beat in any country. If you can, get a room looking over the water as they are so good. The place is very well maintained, the staff at ease, friendly and...

This was our second time at Raetihi Lodge, our visits four years apart. We chose this for the isolation it offers, and the ability to do very little in the day apart from walk and eat, it lived up to expectations once again. Our room was small but adequate - a slight smell of drains in the outdated bathroom, but...
