From the photos I looked at in Booking.com the hotel looked pretty reasonable for a mid-range cost hotel and for the 4 night short stay I was having it would be a nice stay. I checked in all well, found my room (30) upstairs which meant lugging the luggage upstairs....not a problem but just thought I would let you all... More

I wish I had read trip advisor before we booked in. To say the rooms are jaded is polite, The bathroom was scruffy and I can recommend some cleaning products that would remedy most of the cleaning problems. I feel that the close proximity to Edinburgh is their only asset. The Staff tried hard and my husband liked the breakfasts.... More

Not a great hotel stayed 2 nights and never before room not been tidied up after night. Only left new towels hanging on the room door in a bin bag. Staff not friendly and restaurant on site not great. If you complain of wrong order they make you wait ages (20 minutes), you start eating when others have finished. No... More

After having a great experience of staying at the hotel previously, I decided to return for dinner as a birthday treat. As before the food was very yummy and loads of it. My partner had the Gammon steak and it was the thickest cut of gammon i'd ever seen !!, the meat in the steak pie was tender and in... More

On entering dated bedroom, bath had not been cleaned so complained to desk manager who was very appologetic and a nice chap, he gave us a plusher furniture dated room but with hanging cobwebs so obviously not thoroughly cleaned. Should have rung alarm bells really as we were asked to pay up front, never again. Couldn't find my car keys... More

Visited recently with our teenage daughters for three nights. We enjoyed our stay and had a relaxing time visiting Edinburgh and family. If you drive to Ingleston Park and Ride near the airport you can catch a tram into Edinburgh for about £3 per day - bargain. As the festival was on it was perfect to be able to stay... More

My husband and I booked this hotel as we were goi g to a family party in the area. On the day of the party my husband went to the hotel to check in and leave the car. He was in a rush so didnt hang about, but he did say the room was very small. That evening when we... More

What a grim hotel! Dirty bathroom, no cold water in one room no hot water in the other room.... Best of all was the extra towel and toilet roll being hung on the outside of my door (which was outside) in a black bin bag! Rude staff, painfully slow service and below average food. At dinner only 3 of our... More
