Unfortunately didn't enjoy my one night here. The room was very basic and there was a pack of unopened condoms down the side of the bed. Room 24. Also the shower didn't work so had to run a bath in morning. Breakfast was ok though

The motel style rooms were basic . The shaver light didn't work . The beds were ok . The sausage at breakfast looked dire ..i was told that the ' chef' assured me it was cooked . I know that one could find much better value and quality by finding a good B and B.

All staff from my initial check in to housekeeping and restaurant staff were helpful and friendly. Nothing was too much trouble. The public areas are well decorated and selflessly clean. My room was also spotless and tastefully decorated. Breakfast were excellent and cooked to order rather than buffet style which means they are hot and fresh. Good scrambled egg. I...

Stayed for 1 night whilst I was travelling around Scotland. The rooms were outdated, and didn't seem too welcoming. A few marks on the desk in the room where the kettle is and a light on the wall was missing a light shade. We arrived on a Saturday night and were unlucky to find that there was a wedding on,...

We stayed here for one night, we paid £53 though laterooms and I would not have paid a penny more! The room was clean but very basic, there were no pictures on the walls but it did have a kettle and small tv. The bathroom was small and had a leaking shower tap, there was also a lot of black...

From the photos I looked at in Booking.com the hotel looked pretty reasonable for a mid-range cost hotel and for the 4 night short stay I was having it would be a nice stay. I checked in all well, found my room (30) upstairs which meant lugging the luggage upstairs....not a problem but just thought I would let you all...

I wish I had read trip advisor before we booked in. To say the rooms are jaded is polite, The bathroom was scruffy and I can recommend some cleaning products that would remedy most of the cleaning problems. I feel that the close proximity to Edinburgh is their only asset. The Staff tried hard and my husband liked the breakfasts....

Not a great hotel stayed 2 nights and never before room not been tidied up after night. Only left new towels hanging on the room door in a bin bag. Staff not friendly and restaurant on site not great. If you complain of wrong order they make you wait ages (20 minutes), you start eating when others have finished. No...

After having a great experience of staying at the hotel previously, I decided to return for dinner as a birthday treat. As before the food was very yummy and loads of it. My partner had the Gammon steak and it was the thickest cut of gammon i'd ever seen !!, the meat in the steak pie was tender and in...
