Very disappointed after waiting so long for my holiday, the hotel is absolutely in need of a complete clean and a total revamp. Rooms are damp and dirty,,towels very worn and grey not like white fluffy towels you would expect in a 5 star Hotel. Rooms full of mosquitoes including the whole hotel. Pool needs attention due to broken tiles. Beach mattresses are disgusting need replacing .but have to say the staff are amazing .food was excellent .this is a true review

Hotel's Favourite
We stayed in the Junior Suite for 2 nights and ended staying for 3 nights cos we just love the room. The check in process was smooth, the reception even reminded us to use hand sanitizer cos we touched stuff around there. The room is very big, it has 2 bathroom, bed is nice and comfortable, aircon is very cold. Pool towels and bath towels are provided in the room but you have to request for bathroom amenities. The pool is not very big and the water is a bit salty but its quite nice. The beach is awesome and the water is very clear. You can just sit in the garden or chilling on the day bed watching the beach. You can also do watersports here. Breakfast was good, but the first 2 nights, the menu was totally the same. Would recommend to change the menu each day. Overall we had a very good experience here, the staffs are friendly, the hotel atmosphere is calming and the room is nice. Will be back next time.

To set the scene, I first came to Bali in 2017 and stayed at this hotel. I loved it! The staff were terrific (still are), and the rooms and pool were all maintained. My wife and I were due to get married in Bali in 2020 before the C-word stopped that. Fast forward two years, and eager to return to the country and hotel, I was deeply saddened by what we found. Before, when you entered the hotel lobby, you had happy, friendly faces, played musical instruments and instantly got that Balinese culture feel. Now, it's dead. No music. No cheerful, warm welcome. No "Ahhhh, I am finally home away from home" feeling. The room was dirty and smelled damp—splatted mosquitos on the mirrors and dusty desktops and sideboards. The shower barely had any power and took about 2 mins to warm up enough to get under. The pool is a shadow of its former self. Dirty, scummy tiles are missing, exposing sharp edges and posing health risks. A couple of times, they had cleaners come in but only to scrub (very severely) the first few feet from the surface (just enough that you wouldn't notice the rest of the pool unless you went under with goggles. The food is as I remember. Still good, at least, by my standards, but I often saw people complaining about theirs. Also, the hotel owners were on-site during the first part of our stay, celebrating their 50th birthday. I have seen the wife of the owner here in previous years too. I have often found her to be rude and look at hotel guests like they are something off the bottom of her shoe. I made a conscious effort to acknowledge and smile at her every time we walked past each other until one day; she had no choice but to flash a smile back... not a good way to behave towards your guests and stakeholders. What saddens me is that I highly recommend this hotel to my friends, who joined us for our wedding in Seminyak. They were so unimpressed that many left the hotel the next day to stay elsewhere. Sadly, we will not be coming back here.

Really saddens me that I can only give 3/5 at best the staff are all lovely can’t do enough for you and the gardens are amazing however the pool area is really dirty needs a really good clean with the pool seats being really rough and scratchy to sit on, the rooms are a good size but not very clean the fridge was full of mould and our room in particular seems to have an issue with bugs they also blast music outside your rooms from around 8am and this woke us up every single morning we only stayed bed and breakfast there are so many amazing restaurants not too far from the hotel and scooter rental is only about £6 a day

I strongly recommend this Resort, with All Inclusive of course. Location is pretty average (you would stay at the very end of a Resort zone, not feeling very safe for a night walk) but the resort itself and the staff are great. Enjoy an All Inclusive stay by the pool and on the beach... We spent 4 magnificent nights! Food is great, as you would not imagine for an All Inclusive. I strongly recommend the Hamburger 🍔 at The Kitchen. Gym was beyond the average. Alcohol could be better (they use a sweety low alcohol kind of bottles for All Inclusive drinks). Beer is ok. I definitely recommend this Resort for a 3/4 nights stop, but only if you book an all inclusive stay.

This hotel was disappointing. Me and my partner came here for a relaxing end to our bali trip after being in Ubud and Gili T. Our hotels in those places were of way better standard than this hotel the Sol. This is not a 5 star hotel. The staff are lovely and the gardens etc are nice however, the buffet food is very poor and mostly inedible, the rooms are not thoroughly cleaned and tidied, the alcohol served is local and you have to pay extra for any imported alcohol such as a Gin, vodka, rum etc. The whole places looks a bit run down which is sad. Me and my partner prefer to leave the hotel using it as a ‘base’ and travel outside the hotel area to visit other bars and restaurants.

This was a once in a lifetime trip which we came to spend watching our friends getting married. The staff were nice but constantly talking about money and how they wanted us to go pay for everything each time instead of being able to sign and put it to our room. We ended up being all inclusive in the end as it was cheaper to do that that pay for one meal. There is several Melia hotels. This is not the one to stay in. The entertainment is minimal the food is always chicken, pork or fish just a different sauce. They close the bar really early and you have to sit up at the bar which has hardly any seats and uncomfortable as well. The bathrooms in the room were mouldy and smelt of damp. Loads of mosquitos and no where were they trying to manage this with smoke machines. The bills are very confusing and they take money off your card which gets put back into your account 2 weeks later? Which makes no sense really as they hold a card on file. I would never stay here again we went to Melia bali which looked great. It’s a real shame they don’t follow this throughout their brands.

Spent 7 nights on our 2nd stage of holiday from Dubia. Check in was quick, We were shown to our room which was a good size and had a walk in shower but could do with grab rails as you could slip if not to good on your feet, toilet had an unpleasant smell all holiday. Pool area needs alot of work, tiles missing and alot of sharp edges once in pool and alot of ants running about at sunbeds. Sunbeds needs replacing and new towels both have a lot of stains on them. Seating area at reception bar have alot of stains, bird droppings and could do with replaced. The food here is beautiful mind you and the staff are very hard working and very helpful, but for a 5 star hotel this hotel needs a full make over as I would only say it is a 3 star with the poor pool area and other problems in rooms and seating areas. Make sure you bring mozzi spray as you will get bitten around pool area and in your room.

Where do I start? We booked this holiday for my husbands 60th . We booked through TUI and reading the description decided that’s what we wanted and needed . After 16 hours travelling got to the hotel. The check in was quick and we were taken to our room. We walked in and We could smell a damp, musky, dirty smell I said to the concierge this room smells but he made a hasty retreat. The whole room was submerged with this smell and when I moved the pillow a waft came up. Everything in the room stunk . I went downstairs and to be fair the receptionist didn’t seem shocked and said can’t do anything tonight as no managers here will have to wait until morning.we were both shattered but woke up with really bad chests and headaches as we had been breathing in this pungent disgusting smell. No time for jet lag we were in reception at 7.00am and was told to wait until 9.0clock. They moved us to the room next door which was slightly better but still smelt unclean and damp. We then asked for the rep to come to see us. He arrived ,quite nice but asked what did we expect from this hotel, we should have paidmore if we wanted better .This really did make me cross and we told him how much we had paid and in fairness to him his eyes did open wider and I can’t help but think he must have thought we were mugs. So what do we expect…how about white towels not degrained towels threadbare and smelly,a pool that was safe and hygienic not one that had tiles missing and razor sharp edges but then again the alcohol was handed out in bottles freely drunk in the pool. The algae was everywhere showing pool not cleaned properly. NO thought for health. and safety. The juice bar was never open and looked like an old shack, the camper van that boasts bean bags and table and chairs to sit back and enjoy your drink never came into fruition either. The camper had a smashed in back, four flat tyres moss growing all over it and some bees had built a hive inside . This was nothing more than an eyesore. The sun loungers both on the beach and by pool were old and dangerous as lots of the wood had rotted nd wee falling apart. The food…The breakfast was dire need I felt sorry for anyone who only wanted continental as the choice was diabolical . The food in the night was usually off the menu but we were told no food only pizza. The outdoor buffet cooking standard was zero. The food was unrecognisable as it was either over or undercooked. Not fit for human consumption. We did say to the manager but he just said…Can I take your order for drinks. Fab customer service. Please see the photos and videos just to justify my complaints. In a nutshell when the world opened up after COVID holiday companies were ready, tourists were ready but sadly this hotel was not its unloved, uncared for and certainly not what TUI described . We were mis sold our holiday and the feeling of disappointment on all sides makes me feel so let down and angry. We paid over £5000 for this holiday and it was a total nightmare from day one. I have complained to TUI but protocol tells me I have to wit 28 days but I’m so determined if compensation is not available then I will take it further because no one should have to spend time here in this place loosely called n hotel when they have spent so much money imagining a dream holiday in exotic Bali. I’m just glad I never upgraded to gold which was £500 more for sub standard service
