By a rainy night we arrived and were quite disapointed. The room was very small and dusty with a very small lumpy bed. Dinner was just as disapointing, all tthe had on the menu was duck, duck and duck! Service was very long and the soup, good but cold. At the reception desk, service was awful, my husband had to...

We are so very sorry that you had a disappointing experience with us. It is quite unusual as most of our guests enjoy themselves here. We take pride in our service and if it was a bit slow at the reception, there must have been some extenuating circumstances as we live in the building and are available 24/7. Some of...

Was a quaint hotel , would have preferred the duvet to be newer....room is basic , but adequate And clean ! No elevator, stairs to go up to reception and first floor and another set of stairs for the second floor . Beautiful long terrace to sit, read, write , or swing in the hammock... Breakfast at their restaurant "...

It was a long drive from Toronto yesterday, but oh so worth it! This delightful, historic stagecoach inn is everything it professes to be and then some! We had the great pleasure of sharing a glass of wine with the innkeepers and their daughter on the covered terrace. Lovely room in period decor with very comfortable bed. Dinner at Le...

My husband and in-laws stayed here one night on our way to the Brome Fair. The rooms were very clean and tidy with a country flair. Downstairs is a restaurant/pub which seemed to be the only dining option in the evening. The food was excellent and breakfast the next morning was good as well. The staff were friendly and made...

As part of a Velo Quebec bike tour we stayed at this hotel which about 180 years old. It was a great place to stay and the restaurant was fantastic. Excellent food and service. Great selection. Rooms are a bit small but to be expected for the age of the hotel. Centrally located so you can see the local sites...

Auberge Knowlton is a gem of a Quebec vintage Inn. Don't go there expecting a modern North American hotel but, if you want authentic vintage Quebecois accommodation and ambiance, this is the place for you. The first floor has a restaurant; the second and third floors have ten or twelve rooms. The rooms are small and the bathrooms smaller, however,...

We stayed for one night in August, we made the reservation over the phone and hadn't seen the room first. Big mistake. The room was tiny, and the carpet really dirty. Filthy. The little "toy" window air conditioning produced only noise. The bed was awful, small and bouncy. The room was stuffy and much too hot, but the only window...

Just came back from three days at the auberge and it was great. The staff were very accommodating when it came to changing our reservation. The restaurant (Le Relais) located in the auberge was fantastic with great food and very friendly (but respectful) service. The rooms were good and clean, but a bit small (when we switched from the suite),...

Great little hotel in the heart of Knowlton Quebec. Good restaurant at the hotel, and with many bistros in and around the area. We were there in the fall and many had restricted hours due to the off season. The only downside to this hotel is that it can be a little noisy as it is an older building -...

The hotel location is great for visiting the small towns in the Eastern Township. There are wineries, covered bridges, art shops and cheese stores along the roads in and out of Knowlton. The fall leaves were exceptional in the area which added to the charm of staying in a historic inn. I agree with the other reviews on this page.
