This is a lovely place to stay, extremely spacious. High quality amenities, great rooms. The service provided by Colette is first class. We were welcomed with a couple of cold beers, very welcome after the 85 mile cycle from St Malo. From the second you step in to Le Clos De Matignon you realise you are in a very special place. The building has been lovingly renovated to a standard that would put many boutique hotels to shame. The charming medieval town of Torigni sur Vire was only a 10km detour from the bike path along the Vire River that we were traveling on, how bad could it be? Six miles by bike isn't bad, unless it's 6 miles uphill at the end of the day. By the time we arrived in Torigni sur Vire, we were tired...
