Excellent customer service!!! We arrived to realise I had booked for the wrong date. Elise at reception, Sarah and daughter poppy welcomed us and accommodated us as much as they possibly could! Helped rearrange the dates without any fuss and even when above and beyond to give us the suite we wanted! Couldn’t recommend a stay here enough! Our first and most definitely not our stay last here! Many thanks for everything all!
We booked private dining for our small wedding reception. Communication from the hotel was excellent throughout planning. The dining room was lovely, and the table was set nicely. Our servers were very pleasant and helpful, we had the carvery served in our dining room and the chef was professional and pleasant. Everything ran smoothly and we all had a really lovely time, our food was excellent. We would definitely recommend this place and look forward to going back!
We booked 2 garden suites which was perfect for us being 2 small families, we were able to use the outdoor space in the evening to celebrate New Years with a log fire, drinks and games. The hotel doesn't look the prettiest from the outside and quite traditional in the lobby/bar but the rooms were excellent! It has everything you need in them, we also made use of the lounge, snooker table and pool area which was the icing on the cake. They were very friendly and helpful at reception and in the bar in the evening even when busy with the New Year Eve party. Just one downfall there was 2 ladies in the day that were very rude when trying to order lunch, we struggled to even get a high chair, in the end we actually ate lunch elsewhere. Also housekeeping wasn't happy about the late check outs we had been given which I don't see why they should be off with us about. Breakfast was ok, really nice restaurant area, I really like the the nod to the local Roman heritage in the area as seen in there and the pool. Overall I would definitely stay again, as we had a lovely time, the rest of the staff made it special which was a big thanks to the people on the desk.…
Went to the hotel's New Year's Eve celebrations with friends and we had a great evening. All the necessary Covid restrictions were in place and we felt safe. Food was delicious, entertainment was great and staff friendly and helpful.
Dreadful service on NYE morning/afternoon from coffee shop staff, poor attitude and felt as if ordering food and drink was a problem. Table service only, however, no service until we had to go and approach a member of staff to ask for help, which we received an abrupt response each time. Reluctantly, a staff member came to order our food who we all found to be unfriendly, unapproachable and indifferent. Most disappointed.
