Nestled on the edge of a pristine beach, Siboney Beach Club boasts a location that many guests celebrate for its easy access to both the sand and town. Its serene atmosphere and well-kept premises, complete with modern amenities, have earned accolades from travelers. While the beach, loungers, and breakfast options are often appreciated, the hotel's value is debated due to some dissatisfaction with room quality and restaurant service. The rooms are generally admired for their cleanliness and modernity, although their size and noise levels have raised concerns among a few visitors. Despite occasional slow service, the staff is largely commended for their friendliness and assistance.

My husband and I stayed at Siboney for 2 nights before transferring over to a different resort on island. Check-in/Check-out was easy and the staff were friendly. We booked a Standard room and were assigned 601.

Our standard room was nice and clean with a good AC, close to both the restaurants and beach. We loved the amenities, appreciated the good location on the beach and enjoyed free a la carte breakfast that came with booking direct. Highly recommend the Starfish restaurant for lunch (don’t miss out on the spicy lobster tacos!!! YUM!)

Our only major complaint was Salt Plage Dinner: very overpriced, the quality of food was not good (even though Starfish utilizes the same kitchen which is weird), and dinner service was not only painfully slow both times but the actual service is almost non-existent. On our second night dinner took almost 2 hours for drinks and 2 entrees. Once our order was placed we never saw our server again until the end of the meal (which is unfortunate because I was served bad fish). My husband had to flag down other servers for drink refills.

All of that being said: We would return to Siboney in the future, but would not eat at Salt Plage for dinner again. Load up at Starfish for lunch or make reservations at Casa Roots (which we regret not doing). If staying more than a night or two, we do recommend booking a higher category of room than the standard, but for such a short stay the room was satisfactory.

This was my second visit. I had to come back since this is a very special place. The hotel is attractive and spotless. Our room was comfortable and spacious and it was always well taken care of by the very pleasant Saydie. The setting is gorgeous-right on a beautiful beach with plenty of lounge chairs and umbrellas. The kind Marlon and his colleagues will set you up with towels as soon as you arrive. Speaking of arrival, everyone at reception is friendly and helpful (full of great suggestions). Joyette is amazing- always willing to help whether I am at home or at her desk. She is dedicated to make your stay perfect. Sweet, fun and smart! Her colleague, Akeila, took great care of us as well.
Breakfast is included and the choices are all delicious and abundant. Stacey-Ann and Sherika greeted us warmly every morning.
Antigua is beautiful. The people are warm and friendly. the restaurants are terrific at every level. The staff will guide you to all sorts of treasures. Our driver, Rodney, was a great asset. He took us everywhere.
Thank you all for another wonderful vacation!

This beautiful hotel has everything you need to make wonderful memories and want to return there again and again. A perfectly clean room, a bed with quality amenities, in which you fall asleep instantly.
Towels and bedding are changed every day, the room always looks perfect, as if you just moved into it.
The room has a huge refrigerator, kettle, coffee machine, plenty of water, tea, coffee, milk. The shower room also has a complete set of all necessary accessories (you need to take a comb, toothbrush and toothpaste with you).
On the premises you will see a paradise beach that you have never seen before in your life.
There is a fitness room, massage, yoga, a swimming pool where the fire is turned on at night and it is stunningly beautiful.
The breakfasts are huge and varied, we didn’t even have time to try all of their types.
The hotel staff is excellent, there is something to compare with, usually the Caribbean service is not particularly great, but here you just feel at home, like a family.
There is free Wi-Fi in the room, there is also a separate one in the restaurant, but it is unlikely to be useful, since it has good reception throughout the hotel.
There is also a small store on site where you can buy all the necessary supplies without leaving the territory.
The area is green and very beautiful, a complete feeling that you are in paradise.
I very meticulously looked for at least one minus or drawback, but I didn’t find a single one.
This is a place where you want to return again and again.
The hotel is worth every cent paid and more, a very decent option for a stay.

We will definitely come back here again!
Thank you very much for a wonderful holiday and friendly atmosphere!

We stayed at Seboney for our honeymoon and it was the worst decision we made. We arrived from Sandals in St Lucia where the service was immaculate and the amenities were endless.

We arrived to Siboney where the front desk desk are friendly and helpful. Diandra and Joyse are lovely and welcome you in well with a smile and vibrant energy.

Now moving onto the restaurant- by far the worst experience we encountered along with numerous guest members complaining about the rude and moody staff. The food waiting time goes up to 45- 2hours at times. Basic drinks to the beach take 45mins. Delroye usually takes control of the beach service and he is great however everyone outside of that are incompetent, rude and moody.

One of the days we came down for breakfast and there was no food available, we just about managed to get a coffee and the coffee order was incorrect. We later arrived at the hotel for lunch and waited a hour for lunch, after chasing the staff they asked what I had ordered to which we then cancelled our lunch order. We had to result to eating biscuits and crisps to get through the day not eating. There was no remorse from the staff and a couple next to us mentioned they waited 2 hours for their meals.

Now the only saving grace for this hotel is Sam who is an excellent new addition to the hotel who is hotel taxi driver. His vehicle is so clean, he is kind, informative and really goes the extra mile to make you feel comfortable. His vehicle always has towels and bottled water for the passengers. We loved spending time with Sam 5*s for Sam only as the hotel doesn't even deserve 1 star.

The hotel priorities outside users more than their guests. The cleaning staff do a great job at putting your room back together.

This hotel has put a damper on our honeymoon stay and I wish we had booked Sandals which is situated right next to Siboney.

I would avoid this hotel at all costs based on the level of disrespect you receive from staff based in the restaurant, they're just rude and unhappy people who clearly do not take pride in their jobs. As guests you do not feel valued or prioritised by them.

A big thank you to Sam, Diandra and my lovely Joyse, they were great to be around.

Hello, Thank you for choosing Siboney Beach Club. The experience that you had with our restaurants isn't aligned with the customer service standards that we strive for at Siboney. During the holidays, our restaurant team experienced staffing issues (high level of sick calls) which contributed to slow service times from our kitchen which spilled over into the waiters/waitresses struggling to keep up with displeased guests. We are very sorry that your honeymoon was negatively impacted by our staffing challenges. While we tried to make amends at checkout, we understand that you remain disappointed. Wishing you and your husband a bright and prosperous New Year. Warm regards, Siboney Beach Club Team

We stayed at Siboney Beach for a one week couples getaway. The location on Dickenson's Bay was great and the Sandals resort a few steps away was our source for Hobie Cat rentals and other water sports activities. You can arrange and pay separately as a non-guest by speaking with the beach staff. We rented a car to see the sights and try local restaurants and specifically booked Siboney since it wasn't an all-inclusive. That said, we thought the food quality at Salt Plage was very good and enjoyed the free full breakfast that was included each morning since we booked directly through the hotel. The rooms are completely up to date and very clean as were the facilities. The gym, though small, had new equipment and does the job for those who want to keep up their fitness routine on vacay. While these were the highlights, there are many areas that could be improved and better managed including the employee’s attitude which I would sum up as indifference.

Rooms – The worst lighting I’ve ever had in a hotel room. There is only a 3 light fixture over the sink which casts a dim shadow at best. Why they didn’t add more lighting when the rooms were redone is a mystery. We took the desk lamp and placed it on the sink counter to improve the situation. Second, really bad water pressure, especially in the sink. There were mornings where barely a trickle of water came out. The shower was only slightly better. With a rainfall shower fixture, the expectation of a nice shower after the beach would never be realized. The hot water also was scant and took a long time to come up.

Salt Plage restaurant – the black birds are a menace and the sound device they use to keep them out of the area doesn’t work. How about installing fishing line to keep them out? I’ve seen that used successfully elsewhere. It would also help if the tables were promptly bused so the birds don’t swoop in for the scraps. This leads to the restaurant staffing, clearly an issue as the wait time after being seated is too long and the attitude is unfriendly. Hospitality is not their forte. One server admitted they were understaffed. When they forgot my omelet and the rest of the table got their meal, it was promptly made up. However, they ran out of potatoes so that wasn’t included…how about offering extra fruit or anything else? I don’t think those kinds of service practices are taught.

While we enjoyed our week on Antigua, I would not stay at Siboney Beach again. There is a lot of potential but the service, management and staffing needs to better match the physical appearance and nice location. I hope that’s what happens soon.

Hello, We appreciate you taking the time to post the highlights of your stay and providing your recommendations for improvement. We would like to address some of the concerns that you raised: 1. Rooms – We are sorry that the pressure and water temperature weren’t optimal. Antigua experiences water shortages from time to time. We do our best to keep our water reserves up however the pressure can be affected when the water usage is high. We have solar water heaters which can take some time to cycle when the entire room block is using hot water. 2. Restaurant –We are an environmentally friendly property, but the beach environment can pose challenges such as birds. Our current staffing levels are accurate the issue is staff attendance which we are addressing. We apologize for the unpleasant experience that you had with the staff. We appreciate your feedback and suggestions. As a management team we take reviews seriously and onboard many of the recommendations our guests make.

This hotel has potential and the review I read was great but my experience was far from great. Upon arrival I tried to check in at 1pm which is 2hrs before scheduled checkin, no big deal I hadn’t had lunch and went to the restaurant for a bite. I did have to wait until exactly 3pm to checkin and being in business attire I was hot. From here I was assigned my standard room (staying for business per diem rates). I was assigned room 601, this room is in the back by the restaurant. The room itself is not much bigger than the king size bed, but that’s not the big problem. It’s door is all alone next to the public bathrooms that service the bar and restaurant so I had people coming to my room throughout the day trying to use my door as a bathroom, then every time some used the bathroom door slammed this continued one until 11pm. Following this workers start to come in at 5am to setup the restaurant and this work me up after having trouble sleeping. With all this I went to the front desk and requested a new room location but they said they only had higher tier rooms which would cost me more and take me out of per diem rates. All this said it was a horrible experience I was exhausted when I left. Do not recommend a place that won’t try and work with you, this room should have been a storage closet for workers. Don’t stay in room 601.

Hello, Thank you for choosing Siboney Beach Club. We are sorry to learn that you were disappointed with your stay. The room category that you stayed is standard, as per our website it is a budget friendly room recommended for short stays. Companies often book this room category to stay within per diem. Our Front Desk team followed the procedure by advising you of the available room categories and price difference. We are sorry that you felt that we didn't work with you. We recommend that guests ask to speak to the supervisor or manager on duty if they have any issues that our Front Desk team can't resolve. We appreciate your feedback it will be used towards our continued improvement. Warm regards, Siboney Beach Club Team

We arrived at Siboney after spending time at another more upscale resort on Antigua. My first impression was not great as the reception area is small and the person checking us in was not helpful with explaining the resort, helping us get change for the cab (which she has and I had to practically beg for) and the beach was crowded because it was a cruise ship day.

Our rooms and they were very clean and everything seemed new and well cared for so we headed to the beach bar on site for a drink and again we had to beg for a drink. I totally understand island time but this was really frustrating and we were thinking about leaving the resort but then she finally made us a couple very good drinks and we relaxed and the cruise ship crowd seemed to leave the property just as a gorgeous sunset appeared. The beach is smallish but long and the view is stunning and apparently the cruise ship crowd is not bad every day just some days.
We went to dinner at Salt Plage next door and had a very nice dinner is a pretty setting.

The next morning we used the gym which is small but well appointed with newish machines etc. The beach is long making it very nice for a morning walk and breakfast is served next door with good coffee and food with a view. The beach attendant Marlin was very helpful when I tipped him and asked for some chairs to be set up and we also took a cabana for an additional charge and had a good day. Marlin was great about getting us drinks and making sure we were happy all day. There are some vendors but they were not persistent and some of the local guys walking on the beach were a little annoying to my daughters but they moved right along as well. The pool and gardens are very pretty and quiet. On our second night we again ate at Salt Plage and there were steel drums playing making it a pretty atmosphere.

In sum, this is not a luxury resort and if you are looking for a secluded and quiet luxury spot Siboney is not the answer, but if you want clean, easy and a more authentic experience outside the big resorts this may be the answer.

My husband and I stayed in a ocean view one bedroom suite. We stayed in room 103 which is on the second floor out of 3 floors. The views of the beach were excellent - we had views of the beach from the living room and bedroom. The one negative would be the layout of the bedroom - the closet drawers cannot be opened unless the bedroom door is closed. The bathroom soaps were not replaced during the whole 6 nights; towels were replaced after 3 nights. We got 2 new bottles of water every day we had housekeeping. The cleaning was very efficient. Service of the hotel was excellent. There were taxi's readily available at the hotel to take us to St. John's and to restaurants and nearby and back. Everything is quoted in US dollars.
We did a couple's massage at the spa during the stay and it was absolutely wonderful! Very relaxing.
During our stay in March 2023, the beach was not crowded. We got beach chairs early afternoons and there were no issues. On a Monday, there were 3 cruises ships that came in so the beaches had more people walking past it, but we had no issues getting beach chairs and umbrella at the are in front of the hotel; there was just more vendors trying to sell souvenirs, tours, etc.
Since we booked direct with the hotel, breakfast was complimentary. We didn't have to wait long for breakfast at Salt Plage. Food was satisfactory - not exceptionally great, but just as expected for breakfast and satisfactory service. For those in the US, you will need to ask for the bill because they will not provide it after your meals until you ask for it.
Service charge of 10% is included on the bill for each of our meals.
For the location and view and beach, it was excellent. It is 4 starts due to the few minor inconveniences of the room layout and quality of the room (some water damage on the bathroom ceiling, minor repairs/update could be made to the rooms, and amenities could be refreshed during daily housekeeping).

Siboney is nice quaint hotel in a lush garden. The rooms are newly renovated and very comfortable. The restaurants are great to have on property. Delicious and the service was 10! The beach and water is gorgeous! There weren't any washcloths in our room but I asked for some and they were brought to our room in less than 5 mins. Can't wait to come back!

Booked two De Luxe Rooms at SBC for one week.
Negatives
Pool was closed, for maintenance, for a few days.
One room had no telephone, no shower curtain. Other room had large bedside table, preventing closet from opening, screendoor couldn't be opened fully because other door blocked it, shower curtain was too narrow/too stiff, allowing water onto the floor beside shower.
Beach is narrow, and very busy because of many pedestrians walking by. Chairs , solely for hotel guests, are "hawked' by non-guests. There should be more control preventing that from happening or signs as the hotel next door has on tables and parasols.
Service at restaurant is slow. You order bottle of wine, get the wine and the food and have to wait 15 minutes for the glasses.
Postives
Rooms are good size with well equipped kitchen .
Beach staff is helpful and pleasant. Doing the best they can.
Front desk staff is cheerful and very helpful.

Hello, Thank you for choosing Siboney Beach Club. We are pleased that you enjoyed the Deluxe Suite, Beach Attendant service and helpful/cheerful Front Desk team. However, we are very sorry that you were disappointed with some of our facilities. While, an explanation can’t resolve your disappointments we hope it shows that we care about your concerns. The security features for the balcony and screen doors can be tricky, we recommend that guests contact the Front Desk if they experience any difficulties with any of our facilities so we can assist. We apologize for not advising you at check-in that the phone in your room needed repair. Our pool wasn’t closed for maintenance during your stay with us. The pool closure sign was turned to closed. We will definitely be more vigilant about this. Some of the Deluxe Suites have glass shower panels which was the case with one of your rooms. The other rooms have shower curtains, we haven’t received complaints about the shower curtains, but we will look into this as well as the other points that you raised. We appreciate you taking the time to share the pros and cons of your stay with us. They will be used to improve our guest experience. Warm regards, Siboney Beach Club Management

The hotel's food is OK, but no better. There are some exceptional places - three that stand out are Hemingways in St John's (a taxi ride) Casa roots (an easy walk) and Papa Zouk (a taxi ride)
