Just returned from a week in Aruba. Stayed at the Tamarijn Feb 26 to March 5th. Had a great time! Nice room, right on the beach, good food, great service. Weather was great - although very windy!! Enjoyed the breakfast buffet - simple, well prepared...More
My husband and I stayed at the Tam from Feb 26-Mar 4 and had a great time. Going into the stay, I knew what to expect based on other reviews - shabby bathroom, iffy food - you were all right! Luckily, being on the beach...More
This was our third stay here at the Tam, so we were well aware it is an older resort with nothing fancy about their rooms or amenities. However, after reading that most, if not all of their rooms, have been recently renovated, I...More

We were there over new years and first week of Jan and there was a few areas of construction. By the waterspouts area, they are sorting a new structure so the climbing wall was closed and the watersports in a temp tent structure.
Along the rooms, by the bunker bar they were pulling out all the grass and in the front by the ocean putting in sand (not sure how that will work with the rooms on the main level, thats a sandy floor) and on the inside (facing the time shares) they were pulling out the grass and putting in rocks/shrubs and some artificial turf.
Neither of these were an issue with quiet in the rooms during the morning or evening - however made for some busy sections of the beach with machines, staff and other stuff during the day. I didnt find the bunker bar area very appealing as the beach is very narrow there with many rocks in the water - I would suggest getting a room further down where the beach is wider if you are at the Tam - the Divi has a way better beach if you can choose to stay on that side - rooms are water front lite - side view of the beach.
