Ty Mawr Country Hotel is utterly charming and is ideal for quiet weekends away, filled with rambling walks in the west Wales countryside, delicious food, and lazy afternoons spent next to the fire. We booked a last-minute deal over the Easter weekend. The rate of £140 included dinner, bed and breakfast. We arrived late-afternoon on the Friday and were greeted...

A little gem of a country hotel. Very comfortable rooms, quality accommodation and excellent restaurant. We had the Black beef fillet steaks with a Primitive wine and were very impressed. Quality food. The owners and staff were very welcoming and we will definitely return. Highly recommended.

What a stunning location and so peaceful. My wife and I brought my parents here for a few days' get-away-from-it-all and I have nothing but good things to say about our stay. Steve and Annabel are great hosts, the food is fantastic and locally sourced, plus you would be hard-pressed to find it without knowing its location first. Fabulous -...

We have been coming to Ty Mawr for a few years now and it never fails to deliver. The owners Annabel & Steve are wonderful, friendly, & warm. Our room was amazing ( not stayed in the outside one before ), it’s large, and the bed is a 3.1/2 roll over ! That means BIG. Welcomed on arrive with warm...

Absolutely fantastic! The warm welcome, fantastic service, beautiful house, incredible food and stunning location were all amazing. It was like visiting family, if your family live in a medieval farmhouse. I will return whenever I can. Very highly recommended.

10 of us visited for New Year's eve this time. Hosts are relaxed, friendly and attentive. Food remains amazing and our tasty New Year supper was perfect. Always a pleasure visit and our home from home for a variety of celebrations over the last 7 years. Keep up the great work both and see you again soon. Z & S

Stayed here twice now and love it! Amazing food, cosy rooms and great host. Both times we had been to the near by forest on our bikes and this is the perfect way to relax afterwards, turning up a bit muddy and then having a huge warm bath and a really tasty meal! One of our favour things is that...

What a lovely review - thank you so much. So pleased that you returned for a second visit and hope to be able to welcome you back to Ty Mawr a third time. As you say, we don't take children under the age of 12 in the hotel which adds to the relaxing atmosphere. The shed for bikes isn't huge...

In the centre of Brechfa forest this is a charming country house hotel. The supper menu is great and incredible value. Indeed the cost of staying here is less than a famous budget hotel chain, someone please tell Lenny Henry! We had a room with a super king sized bed, with a brilliant micro spring mattress. The shower is a...
