Eagle Aruba Resort is celebrated for its vibrant atmosphere and convenient location, nestled close to beaches and local amenities, which guests appreciate for the added value. The resort's various pools and well-equipped kitchens receive high marks from many travelers. While the rooms are spacious and generally well-received, some guests have noted that the decor feels outdated and maintenance could be improved. Cleanliness is a strong suit, with the pools and rooms being especially well-kept. Opinions on service vary, with praise for the staff's friendliness contrasting with some reports of slow service.

A friend and I recently spent 5 nights at the Eagle Resort. We were pleasantly surprised by our room and the resort.

I read several mediocre reviews before making the reservation but took a gamble and booked a 2 bedroom renovated suite. It was on the 5th floor and was perfect for us. We each had our own bedroom and bathroom. The housekeeping staff was excellent and the room was spotless. We enjoyed our coffee on the balcony each morning and having the kitchen was very handy.

Some considerations:

The Super Foods is a short walk via walking path and cross walk. We had no issues with the traffic. Take a reusable grocery bag and bottle opener (if you plan to buy bottled beer)

Dunkin Donuts in the lobby is nice for your early morning coffee. The staff is friendly and efficient.

We drank tap water all week and it was great- bring a refillable water bottle from home.

We used the bus frequently (stop is near the Amsterdam Manor, a 5 minute walk) the gift shop sells a 2 trip pass for $5. If the Eagle gift shop is sold out, go to the shop at La Cabana to buy the pass. It is very handy to use the pass instead of trying to find exact change for the bus driver.

The timeshare sales people can be slightly annoying but we found a simple but firm “no thank you” did the trick.

The pool chairs and beach cabanas fill up early. We went to the beach at 730AM two mornings and got one of the last cabanas. Unfortunately we took a long walk one day and learned that if you are gone for 90 minutes, the staff will remove your things and give the cabana to someone else. This is a drag. If you like to walk like we do, or to take a mid day break it might be better to just rent chairs further down the beach to avoid this hassle. Also the cabanas are very close together. Be prepared to hear lots of chatting from your neighbors.

Overall we had a great time at Eagle Resort- the staff is excellent, very helpful and friendly; our room was perfect and we felt the accommodations were an excellent value for a short stay.

Just returned from 9 days at the Eagle Aruba Resort. The staff is 2nd to none, they are friendly, helpful, knowledgeable and available. The construction going on by one of the pools was minor and was not a distraction. There were 2 other pools for you to enjoy. They are serious about their covid protocol and instead of a key they give you a bracelet that lets you into the room. It's an above average basic resort located in back of LaCabana resort whom they share a beach with. I had no problems no matter what time I went to the beach getting a covered spot. I was able to catch the bus on the main road to go into the high rise level where most of the action is. There is a grocery store a short walk away and on site there is a Dunkin Donut on site as well as one Restaurant. Other restaurants are located in LaCabana. The casino at eagle is closed but LaCabana has a small one but it was not great at all. If you are looking for a full service resort this is not it. No staff comes to your room but leaves you fresh sheets if you want to change your bedding as no staff is allowed in guest rooms except for an emergency. If you want clean towels you leave the dirty ones outside your door in a bag they provide and they replace them. I will definitely return to this resort. The only negative thing I experienced is one of the guys who is responsible for getting you the chairs at the beach was not available and always hiding. You are not allowed to get your own chairs as they are locked up. LaCabana has their own staff responsible for that and so does Eagle but the Eagle person was not attentive. It was not the young nice guy who was always helpful.

I can't remember all the lovely staff who helped me so forgive me but some are Jousha, Pablo, Nicoletta.

We stayed at Eagle Aruba for seven nights in March of 2022. The room was clean and had a nice view of the waterfall pool. The rooms have a full kitchen (minus oven and dishwasher) which was wonderful considering Superfoods was located right next to this resort. We stocked up on food the first day which was so comvienent. There are three pools one of which is adult only. There seemed to be entertainment every afternoon and some nights if that is your type of thing. There is also one restaurant on the resort that was great for breakfast and lunch. We ate most of our dinners in town or other locations on the island. Right next to this Resort is another Resort that has a casino which was fun. And you'll need to walk through that resort to get to the beach. It's about a three minute walk to get to the beach which isn't bad at all. There were always taxis waiting out front to take you wherever you needed and the staff was always very friendly and help you get whatever you need. Extra bonus was the dunkin donuts /baskin robbins on tje resort. Covid tests are $50 on site and you need to get the test done the day before you leave. Also be sure to pack plenty of your own sunscreen as Aruba charges an arm and a leg or sunscreen on the island($22-$36 a bottle!!!) I would definitely stay here again it was such a wonderful experience. If you see the Iguana near the waterfall pool his name is Thor we named him LOL!!!

As far as somewhere To sleep and cook Some Meals- this is fine for the price. However, we had issues with our room and the housekeeping. The room only gets deep cleaned once which we were fine with. towels were supposed to be switched daily which they were not. Our beds were Also not Made everyday. Sometimes the beds were haphazardly made instead of proper hotel service. Towels that were clearly dirty and were discarded on the floor by the toilet would be picked up and rehung rather then being switched for clean ones. Also, one day trash was taken out of the bathroom garbage and left on the bathroom counter which was strange and gross. For the first 24-36 hours we did not have wifi in our room (which was necessary for work purposes). We had to call 3 times and visit the lobby twice before we were able to speak to a manager and someone came to switch out the router in our room. That was an unacceptable delayed solution for such an easy fix. My bf ended up paying a $50 Fee with his phone carrier because he had to work and he had no wifi in the room. Lastly, there was an ongoing issue with our kitchen sink. Our 1st full day we noticed a puddle under the sink. Because of this/the dampness in the room mold or Mildew was on the inner cabinet walls. The kitchen also smelled because of this. We told the front desk about it immediately. That day someone came and unplugged the garbage disposal… they did not clean up the puddle or remove the soaking wet towel we placed there. The mold/mildew was not cleaned. My boyfriend cleaned all cabinets himself with Clorox wipes and removed the wet towel. We started keeping all pots/pans out on the counters because opening the cabinets smelled so bad. Our second to last day we saw the mold/mildew had grown back so clearly the issue was ongoing and not fixed Properly. If you don’t want to spend much time in the kitchen, this is a fine place to stay. We cooked everyday and the kitchen smelled so bad because of the mold/mildew it was not an enjoyable experience. Also, before Our checkout time someone came to our room, knocked on our door and try to hurry us out a few minutes early which I had not experienced before. There is a 2 beach towel limit per day (for us two people) which I’ve also never experienced and doesn’t suffice when you are going from Salty, sticky ocean water to a hot tub or Pool. All and all it Didn’t ruin our first trip to aruba but we don’t be back here.

This was our fourth visit to Eagle Aruba. This time staying in a condo. The difference is that the balcony is bigger, the living room is much larger, the closet in the bedroom is nicer and roomier.
The kitchen has all the appliances, large 4 burner stove, large oven and separate microwave. We had some trouble getting the extractor hood to work, but you just have to pull it towards you, no buttons or switches. It works but makes a lot of noise and the glasses in the cupboard above will get wet.

The best thing was the dishwasher and the washer and dryer, this greatly improved our holiday.
The balcony was twice as large as that of a normal room but the view of the parking lot is not that great. The bathroom is the same as in the normal suites, I actually like the ones in the normal suites a little bit better.

All in all I think that next time we will book the normal room and use the public washer and dryer that is situated on each floor near the elevator and my husband will do the dishes. However, it is an excellent spacious room if you are travelling with kids, it gives you just that more space to move around.

This time an extra special recommendation for the housekeeping. It was wonderful, every morning we went to the beach (5 minutes’ walk) and when we came back the room was nice and clean with lots of fresh towels. Fresh sheets almost every two days and as a special touch, lovely towel animals.

The only downside I can think of was that the airco was quite loud.

Till next year. Oh yes the Italian bakery/icecream parlour in La Cabana is just wonderful

Eagle Aruba was an excellent resort! The pools are fantastic and they keep them very clean! Plenty of chairs by the pool with palapas. The water slide is fun but we personally enjoyed the waterfall pool even more. Lots of BBQs to use too if you wish. The beach is a short 5 minute walk away and it is gorgeous. Lots of palapas and chairs too. IMO Eagle Beach is the nicest on the island. The rooms are spacious and newer. They have a fully equipped kitchen (although no dishwasher, so I washed everything before I used it). We had a ground floor room which was very convenient. Breakfast was included and we ate a few times for lunch in Uncle Tony’s. It is in a great location on the island. Close to the busier Palm Beach strip and also to downtown Oranjestad. We rented a car so we had a bit more freedom and not relying on taxis which during COVID times, makes me nervous.

It is helpful to know that the resort has ice machines, laundry machines, and gives you dish soap and sponge. There is a mini mart that just opened on site, and a big supermarket right across the street. There is a Dunkin’ Donuts on site and in the hotel next door, there is a Cinnabon (which has $10 Tuesdays which give you four Cinnabons for $10). You can drink the water on the island.

I have two criticisms of the resort:
1. The lady at the towel hut was so unfriendly. I understand that it’s not the most thrilling job but she should be customer service oriented. Very unfriendly. No smile. This position probably interacts more with customers throughout their stay than the front desk. Put on a smile and interact with customers. Wish them a good day or exchange some pleasantries. Spoke to other guests and I wasn’t alone in this feeling.
2. Uncle Tony’s - the wait staff were very pleasant. However, when you are waiting for a table, there is no acknowledgement or eye contact. A maitre d is needed. Some days a manager would be there greeting you. Happy to wait for a table. Just acknowledge my existence.

The staff in the lobby area were nice but they need to have a better system of having people wait in line as sometimes it was confusing. There was a wait even when there were a few people behind the desk as you can't figure out who's waiting, who's in line or who's just standing chatting and the staff don't call next. The room was comfortable in size but felt a little musty due to humidity. The AC was so loud all the time and especially at night. A dishwasher in the room would've been convenient but it's nice to have a kitchen and dining area. I would recommend more dishes as there was just a bare minimum. The walk to the beach is short and the beach was lovely with very nice beach chair attendants. The tour desk at the hotel also had a very lovely person who did everything very efficiently and quickly. There is a large supermarket right behind the hotel across the highway. Just be mindful of the extra costs for a taxi on a weekend. And bring reusable shopping bags when you shop.

We booked this hotel for our honeymoon and it is truly amazing ! Tony’s has happy hour, it has 3 pools and offer covid tests ! Close to beach just walk through another resorts lobby. All yours will pick you up from here . They offered us a time share info slot and got 50$ for dinner , free breakfast and 100 for a tour we chose the de palm island tour . Water is super safe to drink it’s very safe here and US dollar is accepted e dry where we went . Go to the grocery store across the street there is a walkway it has EVERYTHING it’s amazing . Passions on the beach is a popular beach romantic restaurant you need to make reservations . Grills are available to use ( gas) and you can reserve your slot at the front desk . You can use any of the chairs around the 3 pool areas and also on the beach we snorkeled there and saw a good many things ! They also have jet ski rentals and a tour hut right by the beach . Both resorts have happy hour and we preferred the other one ( la cabana resort ?) and most nights both have live music . Drinks at happy hour are BOGO free . All Rooms are newly renovated . And very nice with a kitchen full size fridge stove ect. We actually canceled our two nights at the Renaissance to stay here two more nights. You won’t be disappointed !!!! Think casino is closed .

Our spacious room with kitchenette made this a great choice for our family vacation! The hotel is a brief walk away from the grocery store, so you can save money on meals & snacks. Eagle beach is also a short walk through the neighboring hotel, and there are staff on the beach who will get beach chairs for you without a rental fee.The big pools are mostly 5 ft deep, which is something to be aware of with younger children but the hotel has pool noodles available at the towel hut! The water slide was also fun for all. The wifi can we a little spotty around the property, but was strong in the room. Finally, staff was friendly and always willing to help!

Overall, it was a great location for a family!

We absolutely LOVED this resort!
From Check-in to Check-out. Everything was beautiful, perfect, fun, and relaxing!
The room incredibly spacious, comfortable and the location was more than perfect; we had the last room on the ground floor in front of the kids pool.
Tony’s pizza is delicious with its variety of food to chose from, the staff friendly and attentive, the towel lady always with a smile, getting a cab is easy and fast, the adult pool super cool although a bit difficult to be able to stay laying down on that underwater bed as it is easy to slide off, the music always upbeat and fun and never too loud, everyone is always friendly and ready to help you with anything you may need, the walk to Eagle Beach is super easy, it is literally a 8 minute walk to reach that beautiful white sand, oh and the cleaning crew THE BEST!
We absolutely loved every second of it! We are so coming back, soon, very soon, hopefully in that same room 😍
Thank you from Al and Daniela 💖

There are 2 pools one has a water slide ,the other a water fall. Ask for a room on the sunset side less noise from the highway on the sunup side. The other pool has a water fall. You have a view of the pools from your rooms.

No Keurig. Old Coffee pot that needs filters. Bring your own. Mega Superfoods is across the street via gravel road and crosswalk. Hotel has Dunkin’ Donut and LaCabana has a Cinnabon.

Yes, take the side gravel pathway to the street crosswalk. Must use the crosswalk, and bring your own groc bags. It is the biggest market on the island.
