We chose this hotel due to the fact that the rooms had kitchenettes, and I am very glad we did! From start to finish we had a wonderful stay! The staff are so friendly and helpful, the entire hotel and grounds are clean and the landscaping is spectacular. The staff added in little extra touches because it was our honeymoon and that made our stay here extra special. I would recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Aruba! The one small downside is the beach area that is reserved for Boardwalk hotel is not as nice as some of the other hotels, but since there are so many beaches to visit in Aruba this would not sway me from giving this hotel 10/10!

I don’t usually leave a review this long, but I can’t recommend this hotel enough! This is a long review so I gave headings so you can scroll to the topics you want to know more about. The hotel, rooms, pool, customer service is some of the best we have ever experienced - and we have traveled all over the world (40+ countries and 7 continents). Everything from booking, the communication beforehand, their planning resources, the app they have set up (which helped plan most of our trip), their recommendations, their hospitality, and the hotel itself is just perfect. I have never stayed at a more warm, friendly, clean, and professional hotel. The service rivals 5 star hotels, like the Four Seasons and the Ritz, only it’s even better because it’s a local experience! If you’re looking for a hotel/resort in Aruba, look not further! This is it and I will never stay anywhere else when we visit Aruba again, which we will go back to just to stay at Boardwalk! General: First, I should mention that we are not all inclusive resort people, we like to go out and eat at local restaurants and try local food. So, if you’re looking for an all inclusive experience, this is not the place. But, if you’re looking for a local experience which allows you to go out and try the local restaurants and see locally recommended spots, this is it! The grounds and rooms are just as the pictures show, but better! Their rooms are impeccable and the grounds are lush and beautiful and clean! The app they have set up is really excellent. You can order breakfast from Eduardo’s (multiple days ahead of time), wine or beers to your Room so they are in the room when you arrive, reserve your beach chairs the day before (you can also email them before you arrive to request beach chairs for your first beach day). The app also has restaurant recommendations, including some of their favorites, best beaches to go to, an excellent local massage company (Mario at Massage Therapy Aruba was phenomenal!!) that will come to your room, and covid testing info! Eduardo’s has an amazing breakfast and staff. Be sure to try the açaí bowl at least once! It’s phenomenal Booking: I usually use Expedia, since I book through them very often and get lots of perks, but the best rates were from their direct website- and I compared it to multiple booking websites. When I booked, they sent an instant confirmation and they were in touch the next day and very responsive via email from booking to check out! Cleanliness The hotel was spotless (as they Somme to have always been even pre-pandemic) and they go above and beyond in cleaning and sanitizing to make sure you feel comfortable and safe! The rooms are tapes off so when you enter so you know it’s been cleaned and are the only people to have entered since it’s been cleaned. I usually clean/sanitize a hotel room when I first check in, but this is one of the only places I felt no need to go through and wipe down the surfaces when we arrived! Hands down, one of the cleanings hotel/hotel rooms I have had the pleasure of staying in! Check-in/check-out Check in was easy! They only have the front desk staffed from 9am to 5pm everyday, so if you arrive after 5pm, you just have to let them know ahead of time and they will email you the check-in instructions. You can get a key sent via an app to your phone, or they will give you a key card. We had trouble getting the key on our phone, so we used the key card. We checked-in in person and it was super easy! The front desk staff was always kind and helpful! And the lobby is absolutely beautiful (it’s a new lobby that’s part of their 2019 renovation)! Since we went during low season, they gave us an upgrade for our anniversary to a room with an outdoor shower- which we absolutely loved and was the only shower we used! We very much appreciated the generosity of the upgrade and the welcome “happy anniversary” banner in our room! It made it extra special. So many little thoughtful touches. Check out was super easy! Everything you purchase (in room services like breakfast from Eduardo’s or their wine/beer delivery) are all added to your room bill. When you check out, they send you an email and you can just confirm and pay online and then leave your keys in the room and head out! We stopped by the front desk on our way out to say good-bye and they even had a little departure present they gave us! The service is absolutely amazing! Rooms/Grounds Our room was a deluxe coco casita which has an extra outdoor shower- which we didn’t know we wanted, until we had it! Aruba has some of the most perfect weather for an outdoor shower and we used it everyday! You can even use the outdoor shower at night since it’s not very buggy. Sometimes at night, it’s too buggy to use outdoor showers, but not here! Our rooms was impeccably clean! And the kitchenette came in use! It has everything you need! A small fridge (the one room and 2 room casitas have full fridges), which has plenty of room for our 1 week stay. It has dishes, utensils, blender, coffee maker, microwave, toaster, small stove top with pots and pans, and a dish rack to dry dishes! We made breakfast a few mornings and lunch for the beach a few days as well! They also have dish soap and a fresh sponge! They provided coffee for the coffee maker and sugar and creamers as well. There was also cleaning spray and a rag to wipe down the counter! Like I said they thought of everything! They provide robes, a safe, extra towels, and shampoo, conditioner and shower gel for the showers. They have a room service sign on the front door and they will clean the room as requested! They also provide beach bags and coolers for the beach! The pool was amazing! When we were there the pool was generally very quiet - if there were 6 people total, it was a lot. They had multiple seating areas separated - beach beds and chairs and lounges and plenty of shade. They also have a smaller pool which we never saw anyone use, so if you want a private pool, just go there and will have a pool to yourself most likely. But, most afternoons, we had the big pool to ourselves! We used on the hammock and they also have 2 giant floats we loved to lounge in! Beach The beach is beautiful! They have section of the beach next to the Ritz with chairs and palapas that we really enjoyed! The waiters from the Ritz (on segways!) Provide drink and food service - and there is a 15% discount Boardwalk guests! We didn’t use the Ritz service, since we made lunch and brought out lunch and drinks in the hotel provided cooler! The hotel also provides beach towels! Note: all beaches in Aruba at public, so sometimes people not from the hotel would wedge in open areas, often with kids, but they were usually respectful of your space, it’s just sometimes the kids were loud, but that can happen on any beach! The beach area is absolutely fantastic! Covid testing: They have an agreement with the Ritz across the street so you can get your return covid testing done there - which was super easy! You can make a booking online on the Ritz website up to 30 days out. We booked our time in advance based on the info from the Boardwalk app, and on the day of, walked across the street, got our test and were in and out on about 10 min. We had our results by super early morning! The front desk at Boardwalk even printed out results for us, not that a printed copy was required. This was such an easy and time saving feature! Overall: We loved our experience and the resort! We couldn’t have asked for a better experience overall- from booking to checkout! We don’t usually go back to the same place twice, but I am already looking forward to booking another trip back here- basically any excuse to visit Boardwalk again! In covid times, we feel it’s important to stay more local and patronize local places - such as the Boardwalk! Any place we went and they heard we were staying at Boardwalk, they raved about the owners! The owners are also great at promoting small local companies and restaurants- which we loved and made our trip that much better! We enjoyed all the local places and companies they recommended, that I may not have found/booked had I not seen their recommendations! Bottom line, look no further than Boardwalk Resort. It is one of my favorite hotels- it’s more than just a hotel, it’s part of experiencing Aruba and finding great local places that make you fall in love with Aruba! We can’t wait to come back and visit! The pictures and reviews don’t do justice to how amazing this place is! Just book Boardwalk- you won’t regret it!

The Boardwalk Hotel is quite unique. Beautiful, clean, wonderful amenities, helpful staff. The owners know what they are doing! 5 minutes from the Beach, castias have small refrigerator, toaster, microwave, induction stovetop, large screen tv, all you want. Air conditioning quiet and effective; confortable rooms, comfortable beds. Wonderful casitas with decks, eat outside. The grounds are a beautiful tropical garden. After the beach nice swim in clean beautiful pool. Can reserve chairs and palm umbrellas for their private part of the beach. The other reviews are spot on. We really enjoyed our time there.

The Boardwalk hotel is absolutely one of the best hotels I've ever stayed in. The Staff was very attentive and eager to help with whatever. Check in was easy. The room was laid out perfectly and we enjoyed the design. The grounds were beautiful. The pools were excellent. The food from Eduardos was on point every morning. The smoothies were delicious. Nothing bad to say about this place. Even the cats that roam the property were nice!
