This is without a doubt one of my favorite hotels and I would recommend this to anyone looking for a more quiet experience on Aruba!

This hotel came recommended by a few friends, and after looking at other hotels nearby this quickly became our choice due to the room size, the property, and the overall value. We traveled as a family of four and stayed in a two bedroom casita which provided plenty of room. We had a large patio with plenty of seating, some hammocks, and a table with chairs where we would have breakfast, in addition to a spacious interior. The beach was easy to get to, quick 5 min walk or 1 minute ride by shuttle, and easy enough to book a palapa 24 hours in advance. We will definitely be returning to Boardwalk!

Amazing casitas, grounds were beautiful. Charming boutique hotel with excellent service. 2 pools onsite beautifully landscaped with semi private areas to lay. Casita was spacious with a private patio space. Kitchen was well stocked with coffee maker, toaster, microwave, stove, dishes, pans etc. We ordered groceries online and had them delivered to our casita prior to our arrival. There was a cooler in the room that we could use to take items to the beach. Ice machine on-site was installed while we were there. Food available onsite for breakfast and lunch, closes at 1:30. Few choices but something for everyone as my daughter is a vegetarian and was able to find delicious, healthy options each day. Wraps, pizzas, smoothies, açaí bowls etc...delish ! The beach was across the street but a very easy, quick walk. The beach area is located between the Ritz Carlton and Marriott Hotels in the high rise area. Beach service was available from the Ritz however that was pricey. Chairs and palapas are available for free through hotel but you need to reserve a day in advance. If you are looking for a less touristy beach without the view of all the high rises there are smaller beaches very close by. We went two miles up the road to Arashi Beach ($10 taxi or can take bus) which was beautiful with chair rentals and palapas available and a beach shack bar with food available. The bus stop is right outside the Marriott across the street, comes every 30 minutes or so and is only $2 per person to go to the beach or even into Oranjestad (which is only 15-20 min away). Bike rentals available outside Marriott which were inexpensive. We took the bikes to Boca Catalina where you can do some very easy great snorkeling without having to take a boat tour out; snorkeling from walking right in with plenty of fish and even turtles if you go early. Snorkeling equipment available at hotel at no cost. Shopping/restaurant area with many options about a ten minute walk away. Initially we walked the highway to get there which isn’t too terribly busy but you can also cut through the Marriott which is just a nicer walk...either way it wasn’t a bad walk...but if you’re lucky you can get a ride on the golf carts that transport people around the Marriott property which drops you off right near that shipping area.
Overall the stay was wonderful. Very pleasant and accommodating staff. One of the most charming properties I’ve stayed at. Would definitely recommend!!

A peaceful getaway spot surrounded by many conveniences. New casitas are really well-planned and clean. The only (very small) suggestions we had are:
•Add at least one clock to the room
•There is no ice on the property, not in the room and no central ice machine.
•There are no cocktails on property so guests must wander away from the beautiful property to enjoy a relaxing drink. I think the hotel (added revenue) and guests (for convenience) would benefit from a very small cocktail area even with limited hours.
•The hot water can be short-lived which can put a little snag in the outdoor shower which has one shower head. There is enough hot water for one shower so a couple must share the single shower.
•There are no full-length mirrors in the rooms
•The hotel is small, very quaint and mostly quiet. I could see if a large, loud group were there it would change the feel of the stay, but we had nothing but wonderful quiet and peace (except for the fireworks on NYE, of course!).
•The walk to Palm Beach is quick; and the hotel has its own section next to the Ritz for its guests. It’s well done, but keep in mind you’ll need to use the restrooms in the Ritz hotel during your beach time.
•The hotel website describes a golf cart to shuttle you to the beach...the cart was not yet in service for our stay. This is not a huge deal unless you have kids and “stuff” to tote to the beach.
•We prefer the laid back feel of Eagle Beach but there are many positives to Palm as well. For instance, there are far more places within walking distance to dine at Palm Beach.
•Overall, we loved the hotel and would return. Typically we stay somewhere else and wanted to try something new. Our stay @ Boardwalk will make the hotel decision difficult for our next trip! If you’re looking for a the feel of a small, laid back hotel and maybe have a group (including kids) this may be the one. If you’re looking for programmed entertainment and 24/7 service, you may want to check out others. The suggestions above are very minor, with the exception of ice because it would be an easy fix/upgrade for the hotel. Most of the folks from the US couldn’t understand why there was no ice. I would rate it 4.5 if the website would allow 1/2 points.

Dear ArubaLove2020, Thank you so much for making the time to send us your thoughts and feedback on your recent stay with us. We are so happy to hear to enjoyed a peaceful stay at Boardwalk, and found your overall stay in your casita clean and convenient. As for your comments, we truly appreciate the suggestions you made. A clock has not been placed in our casitas as we would love for our guests to indulge in ‘island time” and completely unwind and relax. Ice cubes are provided in each freezer compartment of the fridge in your kitchen, just not in larger quantities so this is something we will address, great suggestion. Also, it is our intention to serve cocktails on a daily basis by our pool, and we do our utmost to provide this new service in the very near future! As all of our casitas vary in size, lay-out and interior design not all of them feature a full length mirror, yet most casitas do feature this type of mirror. We have taken your feedback to heart and will make sure a full length mirror will be available in all casitas, good one! The golf cart shuttle is indeed not yet in service, and we apologize you couldn’t use it during your visit as local authorities still needed to inspect it, we hope to have this service available soonest. Again, we truly appreciate your input and are thrilled you loved our hotel. We hope to welcome you back during a future stay in Aruba! Sunny greetings,

We stumbled upon this hidden gem on our bike rides, and we couldn't wait for our first stay here. We stayed at a studio first for a few days, and absolutely loved the decor and layout. While walking the grounds, I commented to my girlfriend that I could absolutely live in a pool view one bedroom casita. Well, we moved into that casita for the remainder of our stay, and loved it even more! Amazing layout. decor, colors, and the surrounding casitas are all exceptional. Grounds keepers constantly maintaining, as well as the owners on grounds to check on its perfection. Every person on staff is extremely friendly and accommodating. One recent addition to its list of optional services is a partnership with Eduardo's to serve scrumptious breakfast at the rooms daily. We booked our next stay before leaving!!

No picture or description of this property can truly capture the amazing feeling of tranquility you feel from the moment you arrive. The best part of our short stay was just sitting outside, sipping coffee to the sounds of nature.

We booked the Coco Casita Deluxe, which has both an indoor and outdoor shower. The room was clean and wonderfully comfortable. Everything we could have needed was available in the room, including a small packet of laundry detergent for our cloth facemasks.

Since it has been a fairly wet couple of months for the island there were mosquitos out, so insect repellant was also provided.

We are locals who were celebrating a birthday (thank you for the extra touches, they were appreciated!), and we will certainly find reasons to visit again!

This was our 2nd time staying at Boardwalk and we loved it once again. We reserved a pool side casita for my husband and myself and a separate casita for our college age kids. This worked out really well. We all loved the laid back, quiet feel of the property and appreciated the close proximity to the beach and many dining options. I ran each morning and there is a good path that leads to the lighthouse keeping you away from traffic much of the route. The recent expansion was done incredibly well as the property as maintained is charm and attention to detail while expanding to include a larger pool and many new casitas. The landscaping is incredible and creates a very peaceful setting. We appreciated the kitchens in each casita and enjoyed dining in for a few meals. The staff is helpful and friendly at all times and takes a lot of pride in the property, as they should! We are already looking forward to our next visit!

Could not envision a better stay. I originally wanted a hotel with a water view and a balcony but relented when I saw the reviews for the Boardwalk. We were so happy with our stay and could not have imagined anything different once we arrived.

Our room was stunning. Large, well appointed, and airy. The outdoor, very private shower was my absolute favorite place on property. The whole room, in fact, was its own building, so we were afforded all the privacy of a home. Our kitchenette fridge was kept stocked w fresh, cold, sweet tea and cold tap water every day. We were but three steps from the pool area; which was plenty quiet, beautiful, and never bothersome. Breakfast was delicious and personally delivered to our porch every morning. I would recommend ordering in advance as it does take their small staff time to prepare and deliver everyone’s meals. The Bloody Mary’s are amazing BTW.

The pools and grounds are gorgeous, serene and private. No detail is forgotten. Winding paths, garden benches, and foot washes are perfectly placed. Evening lighting is romantic. The lobby is even gorgeous. Honestly, it was all so dreamy I just hated to leave.

The staff was as thoughtful as everything else. Friendly, informative, and available when you needed without being intrusive. My boyfriend and I had all the privacy we needed and were want for nothing. You can reserve a private island umbrella and chairs every day on the beach, which is just a block away on a lovely stretch of the best sand in Aruba. Food and Bev service on the beach is excellent but pricey as it is provided by neighboring Ritz. All of the water sports services you could desire are also right there on the beach. Everything within just feet of the hotel. No worries!

I thought I would miss the sights and sounds of the sea and beach each morning but it turns out that the quiet, restful grounds of the Boardwalk were exactly what was needed after each long day of playing on the island. I would not stay anywhere else.

We attempted to cancel our planned stay the day we received the email we had been charged as the situation appeared to be escalating in the US. We immediately reached out to try to cancel our trip. First, you can't talk to anyone on the phone. Second, even though we literally emailed right after the charge email went out, and there is nothing in their policies that requires you to cancel by a specific time of day assuming you are outside of the 30 day window, they refused to honor our request saying that once the email goes out, there's nothing they can do. We requested to postpone our travel and rebook at a later date - still said no. I understand they are a small business and this is a difficult time for everyone, but to be completely insensitive to the current situation is ridiculous. Most businesses are making accommodations understanding that this is not business as usual. The fact that management won't even engage in a conversation around this, shows that they lack all understanding of customer service.

My husband and I went here without our kids for my 50th Bday. IT was an amazing experience! the hotel is clean and colorful- beautifully decorated. There are many places to sit outside and enjoy the evening! The staff was so friendly and helpful. The location was great- short walk to the beach and the high rise hotels if you wanted to eat or have a drink beachfront at one of them. We had the room with the splash pool which was such a great feature! And the best part is you reserve a Palappa at the front desk and the hotel staff paces your name on it before you even get up. No early waking to fight for beach space. One downside: the beach is public. The same group of locals comes down early afternoon every day to play cards and they smoke cigarettes. we were lucky enough to have Palappas away from their group. Overall we would definitely come back. It was great for us as a couple, but there were plenty of people with kids as well. It was a peaceful oasis!

I will start by saying that we booked our trip rather last minute and the hotel was accommodating enough to find us a two-bedroom casita.
The pictures are only just a taste of what we have had the chance to experience!
Boardwalk is a beautifully well kept hotel in a paradise setting. Forget about the hustle and bustle of the surrounding high rises. This is THE place for an unforgettable stay!

Casita: this was pristine clean (and I am very picky!) and beautifully decorated. Even being close to the parking, it was very quiet, you can hear the nature around you. Kitchen is well equipped allowing the liberty to prepare your own meals. The casita is super spacious with private garden and ample space for outdoor or indoor dining, even with a BBQ.

Service: absolutely 5 stars: from front desk to housekeeping, and room service, the staff is very courteous and welcoming.

Grounds: depending on sun exposure and how busy they are (mostly not busy) pools were lovely and relaxing, yet fun enough for the kids

Location: perfectly located as you can walk to the private beach in minutes and walk/drive to restaurants close by on the beach. A supermarket is nearby too.

I could keep on going!! In a nutshell, if you’re picky, and looking for a real vacation place offering both hotel services but with the liberty of a private fully equipped house, that’s Boardwalk!

We will be back!
