Everything else is very poor. The breakfast is not made for Europeans. Barely no vegetables, no different juices, coffee or eggs, bacon, yoghurt and stuff. The people working in the bar fights in front of customers, the Asian lady in the reception is rude. The WiFi barely works. They don’t clean the pool so there’s dead bugs in the pool floating around. Just very bad management and bad staffing. Pay more and stay elsewhere.
The staff was amazing!! So helpful and friendly. We knew going in renovations were in process, and we still had a lovely time. The location is so convenient to beaches, shops, restaurants & and activities, so there is no need for a car rental.
I was very satisfied with my stay there. Staff was nice, room was cleaned regularly, enjoyed the complimentary breakfast. The location is very convenient being right in the middle of the strip. Choice of great restaurants and stores nearby. 2minutes from the beach. Yes older hotel but still has all the necessities and felt comfortable there, it is kept very clean and their air conditioning worked well. Their prices were unbeatable. Strongly recommend it. Will visit again
Once again loved this resort. The Management is the BEST! This is our 4th stay and looking forward to returning for our 5th. Our room was clean and very comfortable. The complimentary buffet breakfast was great. Everything you needed and was delicious. Great touch! Wont find that anywhere in Aruba. The beach is beautiful, just a very short walk to the complimentary beach chairs in the middle of Palm Beach. Just beautiful. Not one other resort on Palm Beach offers that. One of the big reasons we continue to return to the Brickell. Makes a huge difference not to have to pay $50 a day for beach chairs. I read so many complaints that the resort is in need of renovations. Thats not fair, as they are in the middle of renovating the entire resort to a Wyndham Hotel, so of course there is construction going on and rooms awaiting renovations. Thank you to all the Brickell front desk staff, always greeting you with a smile, the fantastic beach attendant getting the chairs ready for all the guests each day, the cleaning gals, always a smile and spotlessly cleaned our rooms each day, and last by not least the Front Desk Office Manager for all you did to make this out best stay yet. THANK YOU! Can't wait to see you again in 2023! Happy Holidays…
This place is tremendously outdated. I understand they are in the process of upgrading the resort. It is close to restaurants, shopping, bars, etc. I would love to go back again to experience the upgrade.
I hope people actually see this review before scheduling a stay here. Ultimately the only thing that was good about the stay here was the location. It’s close to everything. But so are a lot of other hotels. All inclusive is an extreme over statement. The shuttle to the beach was not working so we didn’t have that available for us. The frozen grapes were not available. The breakfast was hot food but they were not nice about you getting breakfast to begin with and didn’t want you to bring things out of the location there. The coffee machine was not available after 11 and they made sure it was not working after that time. Even when we asked for a cup of coffee at 11:10 they said it was no longer available. There was black mold under the sink in the bathroom, the shower caused flooding every time we used it and they didn’t like giving extra towels so we had to use a dirty towel on the floor for the entire week. The bed was comfortable but the sheets were so old and dirty that the scratchiness made it to where you couldn’t sleep on the bed. The room smelled musty and the rooms didn’t allow any air flow and the AC shuts off all the time and with the mold it made it very hard to breath in the room. The “gym” was pretty much a Petri dish for mold and anything else you can think of. It was like a sauna that never gets cleaned. The pool was beyond filthy and the water looked horrible. All in all, this was a terrible stay. We ended up checking out early because when we told them about the mold all over the room, although they weren’t surprised, they said they do not offer refunds or room changes. We ended up booking with the Hilton down the road and leaving early even without a refund because it was so awful here. They then could not give us a receipt because they said they didn’t know how to do that and they could not offer any information about the $100 hold that they they said was only for incidentals but they never refunded that either. Please please please don’t stay here. For your own health and well being- this place needs to be shut down.…
Stood here with my husband and another couple. We loved the location, short walk from beach, restaurants, shopping, bars etc. the club next to us was awesome! Had a wonderful time. The staff was great, they were awesome! Very friendly and attentive. The hotel; the room was clean, the bed was comfortable. The breakfast was pretty good, can improve but it was good. The pool- umm well it doesn’t close, we thought that was amazing! Especially just adults- when we tried to go in at 7:30pm it was dark- no lights in pool, didn’t feel comfortable getting in “dark water”. Also- it was cold, not heated ;-( so- that was a little let down. Because other hotels close maybe 10 or 11pm., but it’s heater and lighted up. Also- the swim up bar closes super early. I believe 3 or 4 pm. I would return, they are Renovating - that’s great. I would recommend.…
Although rooms and hotel are outdated, the staff and service were great, the AC works great, beds are clean and comfortable. Location is prime! I’ve stayed at RIU and Barcelo, but we wanted a bargain this trip. All shops and dining are right outside the hotel, safe location, even at night. I will definitely stay here again.
Let me start by saying Aruba was amazing and beautiful but this hotel was a let down. My husband and I usually do all inclusive vacations but heard there were so many great food and drink options in Palm beach ( which there are) and didn’t want to be stuck eating at one place. Pros: affordable, close to the beach, close to tons of restaurants and bars. Beds were comfy. Cons: property is right next to a nightclub so you can hear music blaring till 1-2 am. Breakfast was inedible, but free. A/C kept shutting on and off throughout the night which was extremely loud and annoying. We asked front desk how to fix but they had no idea. I emailed hotel a few days before coming about airport transportation and they said no problem, gave them all my flight info but no one was there to pick us up. Took a cab which was quick and easy. This hotel certainly did not ruin our trip, we had an amazing time in Aruba but wouldn’t stay here again.…
I ended up in this hotel as my (bad) travel agent offered it (traveling for business). When I checked other reviews I thought people were exaggerating. The hotel is located in the busy area of Palm beach, which makes easier the access to many restaurants. Another positive is that their pool is clean and nice. The staff is also friendly. Points for improvement: I arrived from an early flight, and checkin is only at 3pm, therefore I asked to leave my luggage at the reception. The staff didn’t care to identify it neither to put in a safe place (it stay in a open space where they sell snacks). I asked if I could use the pool area while waiting, so no proactive action from staff to offer it (some more training perhaps??) The worst is to come: the bedroom was kept with air conditioning super cold and full power, I guess to try to cover the high humidity and mold smell coming from the whole room. I had some paper and book with me which when I woke up next day were soft like I dropped water on it. When I entered the room also a strong chlorine smell, the room was clean but as having allergy I started sneezing straight away. The bed headboard smelled like sour armpit. Breakfast: rather skip it, all disposable plates/cutlery, few food options, terrible juice (just chemical color/taste). Mostly guest are Americans, and besides any stereotype, I was awakened by 2am with a heavy screaming and fight by a couple (woman slammed the door several times). What I want to say is that is the walls are thin and I could hear everything about the fight. I see that they are trying to renovate some things like new wallpaper in the hallways, some work on the garden but the place needs a full renovation to be called “beach club and spa”.…
