The hotel is a little tired and could use some basic upgrades. However, it was clean, the staff was kind, helpful and personable. We came on SUNWING and since there is no representative at this hotel the concierge was really accommodating in making phone calls for us and booking excursions. The location worked for us, it was across the street from the beach, a 2 minute walk, and beach chairs were always available and the location on the beach was not as busy as some other parts. If you want bar service and a variety of beach menu options with service then this is not the hotel for you. If you just want peace and no one bothering you once you got your towel and beach chair, then you are in the right spot. The beach hut where you picked up your towels had cold beer, pop and water available for purchase. The hotel is near many restaurants, shopping and the mall. It was a 20 minute walk to the nearest (less expensive) minimart. The only thing we really missed was a balcony so that we could sit outside in our room or hang our wet bathing suits and clothes out to dry.

The property is in a great location and offers water upon arrival and a nice lounge area as well as business area to store luggage if your needing some extra time. Customer service upon arrival and during stay needs improvement so pack your patience....go with the flow. The hotel needs a little TLC and the rooms at the end of the hall way have single pane glass so you will be listening to loud music till 1 am when the bars shut down. If you want quiet rooms you need to request them mid hallway. Restaurant onsite was good and only a block to the beach and across from the Barcelo so lots to do in the immediate area. They should provide at least 1 bottle in each room with coffee station or at least coffee station on the main floor for guests. Staff at pool bar very nice and nice loungers around the pool.

We stayed at Brickell Bay Hotel for two weeks and found the hotel is ok for the money but the location is amazing. Customer service can be improved and Jason at front desk was amazing and he provided the best customer service. Cleaning staff were good and the rooms were not bad for the buck. Bed skirts needs to be replaced, they are past due there life span. Reccomend carpet and furniture shampoo and replace the old ripped bed skirts. I had a great time but I preferred Riu but the prices have doubled since I stayed there 7 years ago. For Canadians, it's very expensive in Aruba but you have a lot of excursions, partying and amazing variety of food, which makes this place an ideal. Cuba food sucks and that's why I came back to Aruba. I hope my review helps.

In ALL of my years of traveling I've never stayed at a location that was so bad! I attempted to move as soon as I got to the room and saw how bad it was. I was informed that they don't allow refunds.
You must turn in towels for the beach (and the chairs) AND pool by 5 pm; or they will come ask for them.
I've traveled to DR, Puerto Rico, etc and never experienced such bad customer service and location of stay. You will be sorely disappointed if you stay here. Even when we went on excursions and told the people which hotel they had to take us back to they said they felt bad for us. This hotel shouldn't be in business!

We just returned home to Ohio (it is snowing as I type this) from staying at Brickell Bay for 8 days. This was the 2nd year in a row we stayed at Brickell Bay and we are already planning on returning in 2021. The front desk is ALWAYS very friendly and helpful. The location is about a 500 meter walk to the beach and we have never had issues getting beach chairs. In talking to other guests while at Brickell Bay, all seem to agree, Brickell Bay has got to be the best VALUE on Aruba. The prices are a fraction of the cost (about 1/4) of the larger all-inclusive resorts and I can't imagine the service being any better at the more expensive resorts. We can't wait to return!!

We just returned from a 7 night stay at Brickell Bay. We booked the wellness & cultural package and paid the extra $48 for the roundtrip transfer to and from airport. Upon exiting the terminal our driver was right outside holding a el tours sign (exactly what was described in the email) Overall, a very easy transfer from the airport to the hotel.
We found the hotel to be in the perfect location. Right in the middle of Palm beach it’s easy walking to all of the shops, restaurants, and most importantly the beach. It’s a short 5min walk max from the Hotel to the beach. The hotel has it’s own area on the beach with shaded palapas, lounge chairs, and an attendant for towels. The hotel beach chairs are available for use from 10am-5pm.
The Hotel has Covid health safety protocols in place…Every time you enter the Hotel they take your temperature and you must sanitize your hands. We felt very safe during our stay.
The Deluxe King room was very spacious. The bed was extremely comfortable and the AC worked great.
Breakfast was included and is served buffet style….eggs, english muffins, pastries, yogurt, meats, bacon, sausage, potatoes, cereal, and many other options. A bit of something for everyone. My wife really enjoyed the coffee machine and I liked the fresh orange juice.
We had a 3 hour downtown walking tour included in our hotel package but it is only offered in the mornings….I was scuba diving every morning so unable to go on the tour.
We found the entire staff at Brickell Bay to be EXTREMELY FRIENDLY and welcoming. It was great!
We loved our stay here and would come back in a heartbeat.
Overall I would highly recommend this hotel.

Our vacation started with us not being allowed to check into our room until 45 minutes after the posted check in time. Not a big deal but nevertheless an inconvenience after being on an airplane for the the previous 8 hrs. When we finally reached out room, it was in serious need of updating. One power stip located under the bed was the only outlet available to plug in our electronics. The humidifier located in our room had to be emptied twice a day otherwise the tile floor would get wet and sticky. We received extra towels each day to absorb the water leaking from the shower, otherwise water would run out into the entrance door area. Our last day there the hotel had no water so we couldn't shower or use the lavatory facilities. When checking out our room was charged for additional items we paid separately with our credit cards. Luckily the staff whom was more than accommodating adjusted our bill. The hotel staff was very pleasant and helpful in everyway. Overall it's a great location but for the money the hotel needs some serious work.

There is absolutely nothing special about Brickell Bay. It’s is dirty, outdated, offers next to none amenities and has terrible customer service. We came on our honeymoon, which I noted when I made the reservation. There was absolutely no acknowledgement from staff or room set up that we were celebrating such a special occasion. We’re not fancy people, knew we weren’t booking at the Ritz but there are certain standards any hotel should have, this hotel had none.

Mold all over the room, disgusting stains on lounge chair and the sheets had BLOOD stains on them !

We checked out 3 night early without any objection or offer for upgrade from management, although the management was almost never there and I don’t think there’s much to upgrade to. It also took 45 minutes to check out because the refund initially offered was $300 less than it should have been and the manager was of course not there to assist.

We booked the “Romance package” which was supposed to include: welcome drink (none offered), champagne on ice & strawberries in the room (nope, but did find a random bottle of Andre sitting on the desk our second day after complaining), $40 casino match (none offered), remembrance hotel gift (not offered), $200 food voucher & sunset cruise (we did receive these at the end of check in after I inquired). None of the hotel “amenities” were explained to us (ie- pool location, towel pick up, beach access, restaurant location, business center, assistance with reserving excursions).

With the exception of Jonovan, The front desk staff was rude, slow and could not have appeared more unhappy to help their customers. Jonovan was pleasant and eager to help us we thank him for his hospitality during a nightmare of a honeymoon.

we recently completed our third stay at Brickell Bay Beach Club and had a very enjoyable stay. We selected the "Adventure Package" of 5 days and enjoyed the Couple's Massage at the spa as part of our package. The stay was excellent and the resort has improved greatly over the past three years eliminating prior issues with towels in rooms, pool and beaches. The housekeeping staff was great and cleaned and refreshed the room daily in a timely manner. Our reservation was handled well and check-in and check-out were prompt. Staff assisted us with taxis, reservations and were responsive to our needs. It's definitely a level below the Marriott but is a great value for the money spent!

The resort is old and dirty. The staff is unfriendly and not accommodating to the guests. Their beach area is small and every lounge chair I sat in at the beach was broken. Unless they do much better at customer service and accommodation, upgrade and renovate their facilities, We would not recommend this resort to anyone. Thank you.

The beach is a short walk from the hotel or you could get a shuttle ride offered by the hotel. (But it’s better to walk). Hotel has an area on the beach with chairs and umbrellas..
