Our stay at Penthouse 2-4 at the Blue Residences in Aruba was amazing. The condo was super spacious, beautifully decorated, had everything we needed, and the views from both the inside and large balcony were spectacular! The gardens and pool area on the property were also incredible - Never a problem getting lounge chairs at the pool. There was also a beach directly across from the entrance with plenty of palapas. The amenities were great - fitness center, concierge, restaurant, tennis. Do not miss staying here and do yourself a favor and request penthouse 2-4! There was lots of space for our entire family. Can't wait to go back.

I rely on TripAdvisor for reviews and felt that I needed to warn people of my experience. My main issue is with the management company that you will have to deal with if there are issue, not the complex itself. We stayed in TH2 which is a nice 3 bedroom unit. It is VERY modern, just as it is in the pictures for the rental. This includes the furniture, which is not comfortable to lounge in (this is just an FYI, not a complaint). There was plenty of room for our family vacation of 7 and it is excellent being right on the first floor to go out to your private patio with plunge pool and the large complex pools. The staircase in the unit has no railing and has a wide open middle so I would not recommend for families with small ambulating children. The unit has a washer/dryer which was nice to have. You might need to call maintenance to show you how to use the safe, it has a hidden reset button that needs to be done to change the code. Also it is powered by batteries and did not always seem to be working correctly, so I was leery about it not opening when needed.
When we entered the unit the air-conditioning was shut off in my bedroom (2 full beds). This should have alerted me at the time. I turned it on after check-in but did notice that it was still extremely hot in our room the first night so we had to keep the room door open to try to get some air in the room. This is where it all went downhill. In the morning, when we woke up, the bathroom floor was all wet, and there was water leaking from the ceiling in the bathroom. The owner of the unit does not want a phone in the unit so you have to walk down to the office to talk to staff. We had a worker in the bathroom in our room all day on Sunday (arrival was Saturday). Just as we were leaving to go to dinner, he came back, stating that he found a part in his pocket and went back up to the room. As he left he said he "hoped it worked". Needless to say, it did not. We had NO air conditioning in our bedroom for 5 nights out of 7 in my bedroom. Then on Wednesday morning, the air conditioning went out in the entire unit and was down until Thursday afternoon. We had workers in the unit for 4 full days for the air conditioning. The heat in our bedroom was beyond hot. My husband resorted to sleep on a chair by the pool and me & y daughter had to sleep on the couch with all the sliders open (security risk as we were on the first floor). No screens in any of the windows so there were plenty of bugs. The dishwasher also did not work so there was a worker in the unit for 3 days trying to fix that before they declared it dead and replaced it.
Our week we had workers in the unit from morning until evening, Sunday - Thursday for these issues. We also had to have our bedroom door open for a chance at air 4 nights out of the week. Absolutely no privacy whatsoever. Now I understand that these things happen, but as previously stated, the management was NOT helpful. They could not have cared less. The office staff and the workers trying to fix the issues were all wonderful and even they were shaking their heads. The island/restaurants/beaches were all wonderful as usual. Very hard to have a good time when you can't sleep all week due to the heat in your room. We were never offered alternate lodging, we were not even offered a fan! Very hard to swallow when you paid 10k for the unit for a week!
The manager was full of excuses and didn't care that we slept on pool chairs all night. She offered no recourse and fought back on every suggestion. I was dealing with her on Thursday all day and then there was a meeting Thursday night. She never came to speak to me in person and would only talk on the phone or send emails. Her last email stated that they were only refunding us 1 & 1/2 nights and that it was in line with "industry standards". There was no more communication; my emails went unanswered, as did phone calls.
In conclusion, as I said, I know these things happen, and repairs are sometimes needed during a stay. This was extreme, and we felt like we were not being heard by management. They had our money already so they were moving on. I will never stay at Blue Residences or anywhere managed by Blue Aruba again.

This was our first time travelling to Aruba and it definitely won’t be our last. We will without a doubt be staying again at the Blue Residences. Nothing is perfect but this is pretty darn close. The location is great, it’s right in between Eagle Beach and Palm Beach. Directly across the street is a small beach, you will need water shoes as it’s very rocky in the water. There are so many restaurants in the area that if you don’t end up renting a car you can walk, cab or rent a scooter to get every where fast. Check in was a breeze. The woman at the front who checked us in was so helpful and an absolute delight any questions we had she was quick to answer and her positive attitude made us feel comfortable and at home. The view is unmatched. Having our morning coffee on the patio felt like a dream. The kitchen is fully stocked with everything you could need to cook with. They only provide a small amount of olive oil and salt & pepper so you will need to buy literally everything. Fortunately, the grocery store is a quick 3 minute drive or 20 minute walk. They have an ice machine in each building, we don’t use public ice machines so I hope they add some ice cube trays to the kitchen equipment or upgrade the ice machines to ones that dispense ice when you want it. Do not buy bottled water. The water in Aruba is amazing, right from the tap. Google it. Don’t waste money on water. The AC is powerful, make sure to keep it on so it doesn’t get too humid inside. Beds were very comfortable with plenty of pillows. TVs are smart so you have the option to use Netflix and Prime. The pools are great, plenty of seating and umbrellas so no need to rush in the morning to grab a spot. The hot tub is more like a warm bath but you’re in such a hot climate I can’t imagine wanting it to be hot. If you want to play beach volleyball you’ll need to bring your own. I hope in the future they get some for guests. It was a bummer not being able to use. The kids park is very small, best suited for children under 5. We had zero issues with check in or check out. Having an in unit washer and dryer was super helpful for towels and bathing suits over the 10 days we stayed. Can’t wait to come back to Aruba and the Blue Residences.

The condo smelled musty and damp as soon as we entered, which includes the bedsheets. We also found a large stain on the bed/pillow along with the couch. The bedsheets appeared to have old blood stained on it. Although we requested that to be cleaned, and the sheets changed, they did not do so. in addition, I had requested more towels and they stated that the washer and dryers in the unit are for the purpose of cleaning and washing the laundry ourselves. I had also requested additional shampoo/soap and they stated that we had to buy our own. For Clarification we only received two small sets of shampoo and conditioner for a condo that supposedly was for six people. On top of that, the elevator has been broken/down on a daily basis. Going up six flights of stairs is a rough experience, especially when it’s 97° outside.

Pros - stunning views of Eagle Beach, beautiful pool area, easy access to drive to other popular areas. If looking for an extremely quiet place, you will enjoy this.
Cons - when it came to supplies in the condo… we were told by front desk that it is stocked for all of us to unpack and be right at home. However, this was inaccurate. There was only a “one load” package of laundry soap provided, 2 rolls of toilet paper for a week, 3 towels and 2 wash rags, no dish rags, rusted out drum in clothes dryer, no cleaning services offered unless you’re there 10 days (yet no countertop cleaning products provided). I don’t mind buying or bringing more, just wish their website and office manager would have been upfront about these items. The restaurant/ bar on site was not opened when advertised and I understand this is an ongoing issue.

EXCELLENT LOCATION, QUIET WITHOUT NOISE AND 5 MIN WALK TO THE BEST BEACH IN ARUBA: EAGLE BEACH. THERE IS A BEACH RIGHT IN FRONT BUT IT WORTH A WALK TO EAGLE BEACH. SIMPLY MAGNIFICENT. IT CAN REALLY BE ENJOYED WITH THE FAMILY.
