Greetings Kimkataroo, We are all blushing! Thank you for your extended review pointing out all the things we do right. We consider it our duty to make you feel comfortable and welcome. Our collective love for nature encourages us to help where we see a need for attention - animal welfare- sustainability of our nature and climate change. We are apprehensive about raising oceans - we are worried that soon we will look at that precious beach you mentioned, with a pair of goggles. Our beaches are a mere two foot above sea level and in some 20-40 years will be under water. Some of the work is 'self-preservation,' and some is for the love of what we do - hospitality- some of it is because we are happy people! We look forward to serving you again. Paco, Jessie, Jamie, Pretty Boy and now also Pretty Girl (our rescue birds) and our entire crew say Te Aworo. Masha Danki, Ewald Biemans

We love the Bucuti. We have been going for many years, then took a break last year to do some other traveling. We were looking forward to seeing the updating done in the Tara building. Not disappointed. Front entrance and lobby much improved with airy feel and modern decor.

Greetings to you MV-Luv Thank you for your extensive review and compliments! As to the points you did bring up, we would like to say the following: 1. The couches and the showers will be checked and rechecked to see if we can resolve some of the issues you brought up. 2. The TV’s will be replaced with “smarter" TVs soon as they arrive on Island. 3. We are looking for a location for a small hot tup to be installed. We turned off the heater in the pool as the water gets too warm and our guests complained that they like to cool off in the pool. It is hard to please two masters. Some of our guests even asked us to install chillers on the lines as they do in some of the resorts in Riyadh and other Arabian resorts. 4. We provide free insulated canteens and free water and free dispensers - we banned all plastics 20 years ago and discourage the purchase of plastic. We do have one bottle or two in our minibar for those who refuse to drink our pure/distilled seawater which we supply for free. 5. In the near future, we will “lottery’ the prime umbrellas by the number on a daily basis and they then will belong to the one who drew that given umbrella number. The software is being installed and tested right now. 6. Our room rates are based on our costs and ratings (Four Star- Four Diamonds) we do not charge 5-star rates and minibar items are purposely there for purchase, as we do not offer room service. Our prices at the minibar are lower than at the bar. There is a Sundries store located at the Resort and a minimarket locate at 100 yards or a supermarket at a mile from the resort. 7. Aruba’s beaches are public and we cannot forbid anyone from walking through public domain. You may have noticed a video security system covering the resort 360 degrees - internally and externally. It helps to avoid the feeling of being in a camp with security guards patrolling. 8. The Costa Linda issue you mention is a "neighbor issue" and as the saying goes - you cannot always choose your neighbor. We will speak to them and beg them to be considerate. We do hope to be serving you again sometime in the future. Masha Danki,
Ewald Biemans

It is true - the government instituted a "Sin Tax" of 44% among other taxes. Beverage prices will have to be increased accordingly and a $ 10 dollar drink will increase by 2-3 dollars depending of the hotel - the same applies to beers and wine per glass. We do not have any precise numbers and are roughly guessing until such a time as the new imports arrive. We hope to serve you, ewald biemans

We do purchase quite a few of the Dinearound programs from the AGA - mainly for guests who want to make sure they have dinners prepaid but do not want All INclusive. Minimum purchase is three nights. We hope to serve you! Ewald Biemans

The mattresses are Posturpedic (not sure of the spelling) and medium soft. If you send an email to the manager at Bucuti, he would send you the exact details. Unfortunately, Tripadvisor does not allow Links or addresses or HTML links. We are happy you were happy with your visit and hope to serve you again, Ewald Biemans

The Aruban government will impose restrictions on sunblock products this year but giving time for depletion of stock. We do offer natural/organic and non-toxic sunblock products at the resort. and in many shops. We hope this helps, and we hope to serve you! Ewald Biemans
