If you’re looking for magic you belong here. Traveling from Boston to Bermuda could not have been easier. We landed in Bermuda at 11 and were checked in and poolside with a beverage by 12:30. From start to finish the staff was absolutely lovely. So helpful and friendly. I don’t think we opened a single door. Dozens of small acts over a 3-night stay…they all add up. Housekeeping saw that we were drinking coffee and made a point to add a few extra pods. Having the pool attendants bring us extra towels. Friendly conversation and smiles were constant. The staff: Nelson greeted us with such kindness and genuine happiness to see us. Ben welcomed us to the hotel and quickly filled our hands with “bubbly” while we waited to check in. Staring out at paradise and sipping champagne…yes please! We ate breakfast at Luna every morning with Liz, who hand wrote a dozen recommendations of things to do and places to go. Hazeem oversaw the most perfect dinner at BLT…we were pampered at every stop. He made lovely suggestions and we simply didn’t want the meal to end. Ben also hosted the saber experience on our first night in. The hotel The facility is brand new, boasting a space and place for anything you could need or want. We are loyal Marriott members and landed a suite (and sweet) upgrade to the luxurious ocean front Caroline Astor suite. The room was complete luxury. Thick cotton robes, an extensive kitchen, two ocean front balconies, a king bed that we referred to as “a cloud” and more space than two humans could ever need. The pool was crystal clear and the grounds were meticulously maintained. We got up early to watch the sun rise most mornings and the staff was always out getting the space ready for the day. We also squeezed in a workout in the workout room which had the usual suspects but was sparkling clean. The fridge was stocked with complimentary chilled water bottles. Headphones were provided at every cardio station. Dining The food was out of this world. We opted for the free breakfast in lieu of points for our Marriott “gift”…what an excellent decision. The buffet boasted eggs, veggies, a variety of cured meats, smoked salmon that was out of this world complete with capers and lemon, every pastry/bread choice you could desire and unlimited unique juices like cantaloupe and honeydew in addition to coffee that was constantly being replenished by Liz. We ate lunch poolside a few times and enjoyed the quinoa salad, poke bowl, hummus/veggies/fresh pita bread and fish tacos. You just couldn’t go wrong with any selection. The meals were delivered in green square boxes that held in both cold and heat. The presentation of all meals was a 10/10. The shining star was our dinner with Hazeem. We didn’t have reservations but the staff quickly added a table outside to ensure we had the opportunity to experience a next to perfect evening in Bermuda. There wasn’t a trace of wind…a comfortable 70 degrees…a night dreams are made of. We were quickly greeted by Hazeem who was clearly here to make our night exceptional. With his guidance we ordered the Tuna and braised short rib with asparagus and mushroom sides. The signature popover to start the meal was airy and decadent. We enjoyed a red blend with the meal and finished with espresso martinis. The meal and the evening were for the books. A special shout out to Nelson for reminding us to leave a review…we so often take for granted really great experiences. To the staff at the St. Regis, thank you for taking such good care of us. We are forever grateful to you and thankful for this incredible experience.

Hotel's Favourite
Well, we just arrived home and I have never written a review, but the hotel experience deserved a review. With travel reviews, I’ve noticed one critical element missing - the credibility of the reviewer. Often I don’t know, if a review has stayed at luxury properties all over the world or this was a first. You don’t know if a random reviewer understands how that when making reservations to stay at hotel weeks following the opening (particularly during Covid), there will be natural hotel growing pains. Babies aren’t born knowing how to see, let along crawl and walk. Hotel opens are a birth and they deserve time to get in a groove. So let me preface this review by saying that any review scores from the first month or two, should really be ignored by TripAdvisor. To add some credibility to our review, we have primarily stayed at Relaix & Chateaux Properties and Forbes 4 and 5 star hotels for years and we have to say the St. Regis would be a FORBES 5 star in our book. This property is one only three month in and already operating like a world-class resort. We love Bermuda. We were engaged at the Rosewood in 2019. We had a great experience there. I have nothing bad to say about the Rosewood. IT’s a beautiful and expansive property. The rooms were nice as well. BUT, the St. Regis has taken over the top spot on the island in location, service, quality of facilities, food etc. The experience at the St. Regis was mind blowing. The food, the property, the views of pool and beach, easy access to everything, the feeling of privacy (and community if you want to chat with some guests), and most importantly the service! My goodness…the quality of the staff is second to none. Sure, the resort is growing in to itself, which is part of the experience. It will be so interesting to see the vegetation growth over the next year. And we loved our Oceanview Room looking at the Golf course and Tobacco Bay and the sunset every night. The sunrise on the beach side and sunset on the Tobacco Bay side are stunning. Every request we made was met with a smile and a “yes of course”. I worked a Relaix & Chateau called the Weekapaug Inn when I was in college (25years ago). We were always trained to say “yes, we can get that done for you” whenever a customer had a question. That is how you feel at the St. Regis Bermuda. Cole Simmons (concierge) took care of us the moment I called a few days before arriving. Thank you Cole! He connected my wife and I to the spa for massages and he made dinner reservations every night for us. We at in St. George’s once and HAmilton once, but the other nights at BLT, where I would eat every night of my life if I could. Some reviewers complained about not have a numerous options of restaurants. For those that stay at some of the nicer hotels, you know that having numerous restaurants to choose from does not add to the experience. We appreciated going to BLT each night or morning and knowing the staff. They knew us by name by day two. Liz, a server at the restaurant was a stand out for us as well. It was such a pleasure getting to know her and all of her international experience a hotels. She went out of her way every morning to find me a nice quiet table inside or outside so I could open up my ipad and do some work while my wife was taking advantage of sleeping in. Liz and all of the servers care about what they do and they want customers to be happy. She and the other servers and the manager of the restaurant were incredible. I hope Marriott and St.Regis are wise enough keep Liz there. She is a credit to your hotel and restaurant. The list goes on and if I was better at names, I would share them all. Sadly, I have to get back to work now. I didn’t even mention to beauty of being on the far and quiet tip of the island. St. George’s is the first settled town of Bermuda. It’s adorable. The location of the St. Regis also means the water of the ocean is the most calm on the island because the current hits the south first and by the time it comes up to the north east tip of St. George’s its has really calmed. During the day, the ocean of the ST. Regis beach is shallow for a couple hundred yards and the greens and blues are something we I only recall seeing in Turks & Cacois. You won’t go wrong with this property. If you are deciding between the St. Regis and any other, trust us, this is the one to choose. Some of the others are nice and we have been to many of them. St. Regis Bermuda has set itself apart as one of the best resorts in Bermuda/Caribbean Islands. We already made reservations to be back July 7-10 in 2022!!!

My husband and I had a wonderful 4 night stay at St. Regis. The staff was so attentive from the minute we exited the taxi. The hotel is brand new and everything was pristine. They have a fairly large fitness center, spa, children's area (closed due to COVID), on site COVID testing, two swimming pools, a lovely outdoor patio overlooking St. Catherine's beach. The pool and beach staff were helpful in setting up chairs and umbrellas and serving drinks and food. Staff were constantly cleaning and sanitizing. A few things that I really appreciated were the water and sunscreen available at the beach, morning coffee served in the lower lobby and bottled water replenished daily in your room. Many upscale hotels charge for all of this but St. Regis provided it complimentary. The hotel is about 1 mile from St. George where there are shops and restaurants. We rented an electric car for the duration of our trip to be able to get into town quickly and explore the rest of the island. I would definitely stay here again and highly recommend it.

This was a very disappointing stay. I tried to discuss issues both during my stay and at check-out but was dismissed with a "thank you for bringing to our attention but we're not doing anything" attitude. The beach location is great, but the service is sub-par and comes nowhere near close to justifying the price tag here. The staff readily admit they are hugely understaffed right now, so it's poor that the lower wages bill has not translated to lower room rates. Issues encountered were: No Titanium upgrade to standard suite (despite all suite categories being on sale). No desk to work at in room. Not possible to watch television from sofa. No kettle or tea bags provided. Only paper cups rather than crockery ones provided. No response when calling butler (four times) or reception. (Told only one butler for all guests.) Slippers provide only on request. No evening turndown. Only one restaurant for dinner, and it has been configured in the evening as a steakhouse with eight types of steak plus eight main courses, not one vegetarian. Had to negotiate with chef to get two fairly mediocre veggie options. Apart from our dinner waiter, who was marvellous, staff were generally absent or ineffectual. The local taxi driver the hotel called to take us back to the airport arrived late and then tried to charge the special event meter rate (rate 3) rather than the standard day rate (rate 1).

Before we even arrived we were greeted by Earl who provided all details about Covid testing requirements, dining options , airport transfers and all my other questions. We were greeted by Nelson when we arrived and took care of us.. Overall, everyone treated us special especially, Sam, Christopher, Alexander, Earl, Nelson.. I loved the 6pm nightly toast. Room was beautiful, beach, pool impeccable . I totally recommend staying here.. limited dining options, however the food is delicious. And the taxi service into town needs a little tuning.. Overall A+
