We spent our first 2 nights there. The room was small but had everything we needed, nice bathroom with good water pressure. Very clean, housekeeping was outstanding. Very nice lap pool and deck which we had to ourselves most of the time. Exercise room well equipped. Good location with access to the beach across the street and walking distance to restaurants .
All of the staff were friendly and gracious. The food in the restaurant there was delicious and reasonable. We just had a great experience! We had a suite and it was spacious and lovely - overlooked the pool. There is a nice work-out room and the hotel is conveniently located to all the major sights in Bridgetown! Highly recommend!
This was a short stay over Christmas. The hotel is very much your typical US layout Marriott. Comfortable but with the noisy style AC. Breakfast was good with plenty to chose from but with a heavy price $50us per guest. This seems standard for the Caribbean. The only issue was the evening meal. Very slow to arrive, starters and mains came together and was poorly cooked.
I planned to celebrate my 60th birthday with a family dinner on Thursday 1st December. Dinner party were 14 persons...and we were seated just on time ( 7PM) , and soon proceeded to order drinks, followed by starters and mains. Pros- The rum punch was very good. Cons- The waitress, although pleasant...was not very competent since she got some of the orders wrong especially the starters..one person got chicken caesar salad that he did not order, and my niece never got her fish cakes in the end. When challenged about issue, the waitress stated that "this is a big order". The thing is we were just one of 2 tables being served that night ...(other table had 2 guests). Apart from the service, the food was not all up the standard...my young niece and nephews enjoyed the pizzas they ordered. However, those who ordered the pasta found it to be undercooked, ..my sister-in-law actually pointed it out and her meal had to be returned ..the second plate was better cooked but the portion size was smaller then the original plate. The macaroni pie ...three portions were slightly charred (burnt)....well more than slightly to be honest. The main course took forever to serve and was very sporadic .....one person finally received their main at 9:40 pm...after we were seated from 7 pm and orders were taken more than an hour. But what was worse than the food and poor service was the attitude of one other waitress..she was abrupt and totally unprofessional. Her role in the hospitality sector should be limited to raking the leaves on the beach. Overall, this experience totally ruined the night and the celebration me and my family and friends were anticipating. It was a waste of money,...after liaising with Dean (financial controller) I refused to pay service charge .....but I am of the view that the bill should be have been adjusted significantly to compensate for such awful service. …
As a Marriott Bonvoy member, I try to stay at Marriott hotels when possible. This trip was a last minute business trip and I once again opted to stay at the courtyard for its location and convenience to the business I needed to conduct. I was a little disappointed on this occasion as I found the level of service to be very casual. The first morning my room was cleaned, the cleaning bottle was left in my bathroom with no towels replaced. I found the room attendant on the corridor and while she was speaking with me her phone rang lordly and she ducked her teeth and answered the call and proceeded to have a phone conversation! I was shocked. Front office agents were very friendly as were restaurant staff, but there was a casualness that was sometimes just too familiar.
Yaksenia, who is the mixologist at Courtyard Marriott, has an amazing personality! She is always smiling and made my day brighter every time I ordered her amazing coffee expresso milkshake that she would make for me. Courtyard Marriott is close to the bus if you haven't rented a car and the busses come fairly regularly.
The location is ideal for a quick trip into the city and minutes from the airport. The staff is very nice and courteous to everyone. The rooms are cleaned and the gym is available to all guest but Covid has limit the number of people in the gym. On site car rental service is available.
We spent four days at the Marriott Courtyard Bridgetown and enjoyed every minute of our stay. The initial reception on our arrival was so welcoming! That is a good indication that it’s going to be a ‘happy stay’. Lisa and Phylicia at the front desk was always helpful, informative and engaging. Nice folks! Thank you Kelly-Ann for being so thoughtful and accommodating. The restaurant and housekeeping staff were extremely friendly and helpful too! Our room was very clean and the layout was perfect. The gym located on the second floor was adequate and clean. The lobby was the ideal place to relax and have a drink after a long day outside. Yes I will stay here again.
Room comfortable, clean and well kept Although a bit dated. Restaurant offered basic and limited range of dining options - quality of food was good though Staff was helpful and courteous Good location Recommended.
Very friendly staff, very good breakfast selection, very close to a great dinner restaurant, which is in the same parking area, good rooms, even a good area for an evening walk to fun bars, just not on the beach but if you're willing to walk across the street and down a few steps you're a a great beach.
