I really enjoyed my stay. The owner and the whole stuff were just so friendly and helpful. There're nice people all over the place. They also speak English, which I found very useful and is not so common in Cuba. Great location and food as well!
The warmth and caring hospitality of Luis, his wonderful family and caring staff made for the perfect entry point into Cuba and the wonder that is Havana. Luis is a marvelous raconteur with a broad knowledge and understanding of the history and culture of Cuba, which made for great conversations. He also arranged a fantastic Havana tour for us in a classic car, terminating with a visit to Havana Vieja and the lovely restaurant La Vitrola. Later he got us reservations to the marvelous local paladar La Guerida for a moonlit balcony dinner of great cuisine in a sort of elevated local style. I would highly recommend a stay at Casa 1932.
This is not just a place to stay, staying at Casa 1932 was truly a unique experience we will never forget. Luis and his family warmly welcomed us into their home. Our room was spacious, the bed comfortable and the bathroom was well equipped, including hot water. There was a fridge in the room with water that was replaced each day. The Casa is within walking distance of Old Havana and other tourist attractions. The home itself is exquisetly decorated with antiques and family memorabilia and is like a museum. The light fixtures and original tile floors are beautiful. Luis, the owner, is available to assist with anything you may need. He arranged our transport to Varadero, our next destination. The wifi in the home is excellent by Cuban standards. Having dinner in their beautiful dining room is an experience all in itself. We instantly felt at home and you will too.…
Stayed 3 nights total at the begining and end of my trip to Cuba. The rooms were clean and comfortable with fantastic vintage light fixtures. Both rooms had a fan, air-conditioning and a minifridge with a jug of water. The dining room and internal court yard were full of vintage photographs and signs that could be looked at for hours. Our host Luís was welcoming, informative and attentive. He had great advice and suggestions for things to do which you were put under no pressure do. His English is fantastic and the rest of the staff were as welcoming as he was. By far my favourite part was the food. Breakfast part fresh fruit part cooked breakfast - very good and plent of it. The dinners were a 3 course meal with plenty of sides to try. Every dinner was delicious and unforgettable!…
This place was extraordinary, the host very helpful. Was willing to go the extra mile. We had the best Dinner cooked by the host son in law, food was excellent. Do not think we found a meal better anywhere else in Cuba not even a the all inclusive hotels. Centrally located in Havana.
This was our first casa in Cuba on our 2-week holidays. The casa is very well located to visit central and old Havana as well as Vedado. Luis is a great host, speaks very good English and is always ready to help guests out. He offers airport pickup service which is very convenient. The room was good and spacious. Free WiFi is available as well as fresh water everyday and tea facilities. The breakfast was the best we had in Cuba! Dinner at this casa is also highly recommended!
As we stepped out of the hot bustle on the streets into this haven, my husband and I knew that we were incredibly lucky to have stumbled upon this gem during our adventures in Cuba. Luis (host) was not only welcoming, accommodating and helpful, but also went above and beyond in every possible capacity. His attention to detail has been diligently applied to the antique collection and enchanting decor in the 18' ceiling spaces and the quaint courtyard/atrium. We felt safe, facilitated and looked after. He organized tickets for outings, helped us plan what to see (based on our interests), helped us find safe parking for our scooter, adjusted the breakfast (which was incredible) for my gluten allergy, gave us gifts of fresh fruit, fresh water and more. Our experience in Havana was exceptional and that is largely due to the guidance, time, attention and help from Luis.…
The best host and BB I have visited in Havanna! The owner is the friendliest and most generous person we met! Excellent breakfast and the coffee is to die for The owner explains and gives a helping hand with what ever you need. Clean and comfortable beds.
Arriving in Havana is a shock to the system unlike most cities. However, upon arrival at Casa 1932 Havana and the Cuban spirit comes into focus. From the urban vitality of Havana a gated doorway leads into the safe tranquility of a home away from home. And Casa 1932 is a home, Luis welcomes you into his home and ensures all questions get answers. But the truth is the Casa itself offers as much to the Cuban spirit as the wonderful family who run it. From Cuban antiquities and traditional furniture to historic photographs of Havana. The serenity of Casa 1932 is sewn into every room from the courtyard to the lounge. If staying here do take advantage of the excellent breakfast which is the perfect start to a hot day in Havana. Located between the old town and Vedado we could walk everywhere. One step from the Casa and the vibrancy of Havana hits you. And once you have learnt how to deflect the standard hustle you will never feel safer. Havana is an experience I will never forget and will look to return in the future. When I do I won't look anywhere else than Luis and Casa 1932. Tips if you are heading to Havana - - Bring Cash! Euros or Pounds whatever you can but do not bring your cards and expect to get a good exchange rate. Cash is king in Havana. -Be nice & smile. Yes the street hustling can be frustrating but all you need is smile and a little firmness. The truth is the people of Havana are truly wonderful and nice and lots just want to talk.…
My girlfriend and I can't say enough about the treatment we got from Luis and his family while visiting this charming B&B. This was our first visit to Havana, and we would most definitely come back to stay here. We actually arrived with one itinerary, but Luis took great care of us "fixing" any parts of our plans that weren't the best. He turned us on to a fantastic dinner show featuring the original Buena Vista Social Club members. We got advice on everything that mattered so we could stay safe and get the most from our stay. Casa 1932 is in close proximity to great restaurants in the heart of Havana. Thanks again Luis!
