We stayed a couple of nights here at the end of a trip round Cuba. We also stayed in Havana at the very beginning in Centro, so the excellent location of this casa, in the middle of the old town (5 min walk to Plaza Vieja, 10-15 to Catedral), was a nice contrast. The house itself is a beautiful old...

Pablo and Lydia's home is beautiful and at times you feel like you're in a special museum, it is so colourful and houses countless ornaments. They were very welcoming and Pablo keen to help arrange trips and transport as necessary although with such a good location in Havana Vieja you only need this if leaving Havana. This was also a...

Pablo and Lidia were both wonderfully welcoming and helpful in terms of booking onward travel and casas across Cuba! The breakfast was wonderful and the casa is super beautiful. We came back 3 times during our trip! Always would recommend this. Amazing location to boot!

If you are looking for connecting with people, this is the right spot. Each family member in this house is a very special person and they made our trip worthwhile. The main advantage of staying in this kind of accomodation is the opportunity of knowing who and how people live in that country/city. If you have the chance, get to...

The rooms have no Aircondition..and in the summerheat you'll need this...you can find rooms with Airco for the same price at the same location. Also you share a bathroom, which is not a problem but again, for the same price and in the same surrounding you can find rooms with better options.

In busy Havana Vieja this quiet casa has an excellent location only a short walk from major attractions such as Plaza de Armas, Plaza Vieja, Calle Obispo and Parque Central with the Capitolio. The casa is the large upstairs of a colonial grand house, with a superb lighted patio and arcade doors - the loveliest we have seen in all...

colonial house by an older couple. The house feels like a home for the elderly. Only in their living room are windows. The corridor, the 4 or 5 rooms, the back of the house, all without windows! There is only 1 bathroom for this 4 or 5 rooms! (the owner lies about the number of guest that will use the...

The rooms are basic, but clean and reasonably quiet. The breakfast (an extra 4 cups/person) was plentiful and good. Overall, we enjoyed the stay - and certainly felt that the price was extremely reasonable. That said, we experienced the same disappointment with the bathroom situation as many other writers. The photos make it look as though there are 2 bathrooms,...

This casa is in a prime location in Habana Vieja. It is more of a communal environment with shared bathrooms and kitchen. Everything is dated but relatively clean. We stayed here at the last minute after having a bad experience at another casa, which served our immediate needs. Skip the breakfast. The family is very sweet. Pablo and Lydia are...

“Rooms are oriented towards inside (covered) patio of large colonial with high ceilings. Very quiet. No A/C but multiple fans make air move and keep rooms cool. Casa is on second floor with long narrow staircase leading up to it, easiest to manage with lighter bags.”
