One of the reasons we enjoy online reviews so much is that they can help small businesses that consistently provide excellent service and value become successful. La Posada de Chacon in Old Havana is one of those places. In fact, this small hotel has received so many great reviews that I really don't have much to add. I can agree with others on several key point: excellent staff/service, fantastic location, charming rooms in a historic building/neighborhood. Also as others have pointed out, the front desk staff is fantastic! We were lucky enough to spend time with Gloria and Aliev and want to thank them for helping to make our stay in Havana/Cuba so enjoyable.

Very comfortable housing with excellent service. Booked here for a couple of nights and everything was very smooth right from reservation to check in to check out. Alive and Andreas the two concierges were very helpfull throughout the stay.

Such a lovely stay for 2 nights. We were intially overwhelemed when we arrived in Havana however it was great to feel safe and comfortable at the hotel and feel reassured and be able to ask for help. The room was clean and comfortable. The staff were so friendly and helpful. The breakfast was great and the fruit baskets were so fancy. The location is ideal for Old Havana, particularly staying amongst locals. I definitely recommend!

What a pleasant surprise. The staff was very gracious and accommodating. Chef prepared tasty meals with an awesome presentation. Our suite was impeccable. Fresh, clean smell. Our bed was comfortable and the air conditioning worked well. The bathroom was clean and well supplied. We are already making plans to return! Don & Pam, Dallas, Texas

Gloria, Andrés, and Aliev are wonderful!! They served us breakfast and were soooo so kind. Gloria always had a wonderful smile and is such a magical human. You can tell she has a big heart. Andrés is sooo sweet and Aliev is so friendly. I was so grateful to be able to support the Cuban people on this trip. They are the epitome of Cuban hospitality. They all spoke perfect English even though they did not have to because as guests we should know Spanish. As far as the casa itself: The bed was comfortable, shower always hot, and the room smelled nice:) will definitely stay here again!

I had a true welcome by Alif's large smile in the middle of the night; he even took time to prepare a delicious secret cocktail. After the first noisy night in a spacious suite (upgrade, thank you!), I could change to a cosy room in the inner court. Large mattress, pillows, armchairs and roomy bathroom are most comfortable. All corners are shiny and neat. Every morning, the friendly kitchen staff prepares a spectacular plate of fresh fruit and a tasty and various freshly cooked breakfast, brought by Gloria, Alif or Andres. Your thoughtfulness is lavished naturally, I really appreciated your kind attitude and generous smiles. Thank you warmly for making my stay so wonderful. La Posada de Chacòn is so well situated in the old town and only a few steps away from the city center. Just ask for advice, they will help you with full knowledge. We just took a wonderful trip to Havana In Support of the Cuban People. One of the highlights of our adventure was staying at La Posada de Chacón. The Old Town location is perfect, the accommodations exceeded our expectations, breakfast was delicious, and the staff was awesome. They made us feel like royalty with all of the attention the gave to our every need. They were very friendly and helpful. Gloria, in particular, was a gem.

Excellent place, we have stayed with group of 8 people, took all rooms inside the hotel, service was super, especially the 3 lovely people Gloria, alif , and Sandro they where extremely helpful and spoke excellent English, breakfast was excellent, I would stay again and again, it is closed to everything in old Havana

We really enjoyed our stay here. The staff is super friendly and very helpful on top of that they speak perfect English! The breakfast was the best of our tour in Cuba and the welcome cocktail was delicious! You immediately feel at home here and on top of that, the best restaurants in Old Havana are within walking distance!
