For location in the heart of old Havana and the exterior of the building a fantastic place. Standing on the balcony above the street with a side view of the square was wonderful. The rooms were clean but rather shabby. The highlight was the brilliant sculptures the cleaner made out of our fresh towels. The breakfast at the hotel was...

Stayed one night at the end of a tour. Location is great, in the old town. The room was perfectly nice, but the water in the hot taps and shower was never more than tepid, and when we arrived there was no soap in the bathroom. When you check in, you're supposed to be offered a "welcome drink": the very...

Two stays, two different experiences. The first there was no power in the bathroom, can I assume the cleaner did the room twice in the dark and didn't report the problem? After the fourth request over two days I was offered another room. I was told to pack up then let reception know when I was ready to move. I...

Spent five nights at San Felipe and, like most of Cuba, it had pluses and minuses. On the plus side, it is a central location, walkable to sites in old Havana, and is a lovely old building. The staff was as helpful as they could be, given the limitations of Cuba's infrastructure ( I.e. water, sewer, electricity, computers). Overall, the...

This hotel has a great location at the edge of the old town. The rooms are a good size, the breakfast selection good (options for fresh eggs, fruit etc). However, a lot of the rooms are overlooking the internal courtyard which houses the bar and the restaurant. The tv in the bar blares out all day and most of the...

This hotel is certainly in a good location and we had high expectations - sadly which weren't met. We stayed here just one night at the end of a 2 1/2 week trip around Cuba. The decor of our room - at least what we could see of it in the dimness - looked smart but, interestingly, another reviewer commented...

We visited Havana for the second time last month, two years after our first trip. The food can be indifferent, the service can vary between warm and friendly through to curmudgeonly and chaotic, plumbing is unreliable, but on the plus side there is the architecture, the rum, the cars, the unique society and the music, oh yes the music. Oh...

We were put up in this little gem for one night because our hotel had no rooms available. I wish we had stayed here all three nights in Old Havana. The rooms were clean. The staff is friendly and courteous. Our reservation included breakfast which was very good.

Quite old hotel in an old building. But that´s some kind of charming. Very good situated in the old part of havanna at the San Francisco Square, next to the San Francisco church. The rooms are also old style and you can smell a little of the old times (literarly). Roomsafe is included. The stuff is very friendly and helpful....

I believe this hotel classes itself as a 4/5 Star hotel, but really it is not. Its location is perfect but everything else about the is poor. The breakfast can only be described as a fiasco if there are more than two tables occupied. If you ask for something simple as fruit and yoghurt you may get the fruit in...
