Hi, We stayed our 2 nights at La Havane in David y Lidia Casa Particular. It was just great++. Every body was kind with us, the room was clean, the breakfast just amazing. And in addition, David & co. fine tuned our road trip in Cuba with excellent recommandations that we followed. David also planned everything (taxi collectif and the next casa particular) for us. Well, if we had to come back at La Havane, we'll stay there again for sure! Enjoy! Nicolas

Great location for exploring old Havana. Don’t be put off by the streets nearby. Really friendly staff with good local info. Good breakfast. Hot water shower, opportunity to meet other tourists. Fabulous old furniture and decor

A great way to experience living with locals. The hotel is based over a number of properties. Our room was is a house about 150 yards from the main house. Breakfast is a buffet, served up until noon. Mainly sausage, bread, fruit, cake and unlimited juice/coffee. Fried eggs are available on request. It's a short walk (10 minutes) to the main city square/hotel Inglaterra. David, the proprietor, is good for local knowledge. The rooms are traditional, comfortable, and clean, with fridges and a small safe for passports/valuables. Havana is a vibrant place, and this is a good place to stay for an authentic experience.

I stayed at this casa several nights in November 2018. The location is great for those who want to get out and see what Havana is really about. For those looking for a Disney experience it is not so good. The casa is actually several different associated houses within a 3 block radius. All are delightfully restored with authentic décor and comfortable furnishings. There is 24 hr security at all locations. Buffet breakfast (with typical fare) is provided in the main casa. All in all, I would recommend this casa. The downsides: The several different houses meant that those in my group were not all together, and that I had to go from the house where I slept to the main casa for breakfast and then back again to get ready for the day (this was only 5-10 minutes each way, but stil…) Also, when the TripAdvisor checklist shows a yes for toiletries provided I think the Cubans believe this means that the rooms have a toilet. One of the best casas you may find in Havana! Only 10 minutes walking from the city centre. Staff is lovely and breakfast is great. Prices are on average with the rest in Havana. The owner also takes care of organizing taxi collectivos and the next casa wherever you are going!

David and Lidia's casa particular is ideally located in centro Havana, which is more genuine than Havana vieja. Very safe area, easy to get to all the touristic sites. David, Lidia and their staff speak impeccable French and couldn't be nicer or more helpful. Nice rooms and big breakfast buffet. Good quality shower with high pressure (a rarity during our 10 day trip around Cuba). Excellent value for money, I would definitely recommend this casa particular.

We stayed here for 3 nights, we had a room in the main house just next to the entrance hall. We really liked the location. David arranged for a taxi from the airport and the taxi driver stopped on the journey at a bank for us to exchange money and avoid queues at the airport). The room was amazing and we were very grateful for air con. Breakfast was a very good buffet - particularly enjoyed our candle lit breakfast when Havana lost electricity for 30 min! David and his team run a very efficient setup, they manage to keep a very personal touch in helping you (do make sure you ask any questions you might have regardless how small - the Cuban style is not to be proactive but they are very happy to help).

If it was possible to give 6 out of 5 for service, this place would get it. David the owner started with covering everything a Cuba beginner should know, without us even asking for it. David and the young lady at reception (sorry I don't recall her name) were the most accommodating imaginable to our ever changing plans and arranged all the forward transportation and booking for us. When we apologized for all the work we caused her she said "that's ok, it's your holiday". Really above and beyond anything I've seen. The location is also perfect. I'm not a Havana expert by any means but I'm quite sure staying in Old Havana misses the point while this location in Central Havana is much more 'real' while still being a few minutes walk from both Old Havana and the Malecon. We stayed at one of the 'other buildings' owned by this casa. The room was good enough, with the only pain spot being lack of closet, so we had no choice but living out of our bags. The building and the area felt safe despite their looks and we left stuff in the room with no worries. Breakfast was fine and as we read in advance a must in Havana where most of what you'll eat during the day is pizza. Cannot recommend enough. Great stay in a great city.…

We visited the david house a few weeks ago we were very pleased and impressed by the service and amenities of their rooms. We are a couple who visited Havana for the first time and thanks to the help david our visit was better than planned. We were very close to old Havana, just a few minutes walk away which allowed us to walk from very early on through all its streets. Thank you very much and we hope to repeat the visa.
