You got different feeling in this casa. - first we received a warm and nice welcome - the house is beautiful - the staff is friendly and helpfull - we have been disappointed with the breakfast compare to all the others casa in Cuba - the casa is a little bit noisy (ring bell from the front door pretty often), rooms seperated only with a wooden door - the thing we didn't appreciate is the owner. We had the feeling, all the questions were interested from her. At the end, the questions asked were always to sell a service. If we were not interested, the conversation was over.
Casa Esther Is the right choice if you're looking for a place that feels like home. The house is super cute, bright and looks exactly as in the pictures. Ms. Esther and her employees really put some effort to make our stay special. One of the best things we experienced was home made food because breakfast was included and Oh my God! I don't even have words to describe how good was the food😋 Fresh blended juice from tropical fruits with black, strong cuban coffee and toast with eggs with guacamole on the side is really what your body needs in the morning to make it through day since tropical heat. Besides the breakfast, they have options for more meals that are definitely worth trying. The size of the room was just enough for our stay there and it's of big importance that they have AC. Besides the utilities, when we were choosing a place we were a little concerned about choosing good area in Old Habana but Casa Esther was the right choice because it's safe and they have night security doorman as well. All touristy stuff are on walking distance from the house. …
Nice and cozy. Good breakfast with fresh fruits, bread, jam, eggs and something for dessert. You can also ask for a dinner there, which is also tasty. She helped us with a taxi to Trinidad and some useful information. The location is good. You can reach most of the sightseeings on foot. But the street, where the casa is situated is quite dirty. Though the casa itself is clean and cozy.
I stayed at Casa Esther for 5 nights altogether, travelling by myself. Esther and all the staff at the casa were extremely welcoming and I felt really comfortable there. My room was clean and well presented and the casa itself is stunning - high ceilings, a terrace, the works. Breakfast was delicious and Esther was really accommodating, and helped with airport transfers, luggage storage and a snack when I arrived back after a long bus ride from Trinidad. I wouldn’t hesitate to stay here again, thank you!
Casa Esther is excellent! Beautifully decorated en well maintained, unlike most of Havana. The food is good, the bottle of fresh black coffee every morning is super. Esther is very sweet and an enthusiastic host, who will "guide" you through Havana. She knows all the places.
On November 12, 2018, we were afforded the opportunity of spending four days in Cuba. Our residence during our stay was a beautiful [Casa de Huespedes, Guest House, Bed and Breakfast] known by Casa Esther. The charming renovated home away from home is laced in past and present art and displays stunning family reminders from the owners past. The staff was absolutely outstanding. Each day our Cuban Cuisine was prepared and served from one of two of their state of the Ark Kitchens. Our food was served on an open veranda and the daily table settings along with specialty items were prepared and served on the level of a Five Star Know-How. Thank you, Esther, Omar, Lidice, Blanco, and forgot his name a Civil Engineer. Everyone that worked there was eager to help us as needed and make our stay a memorable one that will never be forgotten. If you are looking for a 5 Star Residence centrally located in Old Havana, we highly recommend Casa Esther. Truly an experience you don't want to miss. Till Next Time Amigos.…
I booked this Casa randomly and it was the best decision ever. Esther is the nicest woman ever, and her stuff too. The cooker is really amazing, she prepared dinner for us-lobster, fish and some crocodile. TOP! Her man for finances, Omar is a super nice guy who makes everything to makes you happy. The host also called people in other cities that we visit and all of them were nice and cozy. The place is in the center, but also a bit distanced, so you can feel the real Cuba. I highly recommend you this place.
If you are looking for 5 star accommodation. ..forget it...this place has the style. ..forget your prejudices and jump in...Esther is a gracious hostess and her place is great...full of authentic grandeur. ..its location is second to none to allow you to experience the real Havana. ..the buildings and streets may need an uplift..Esther is working on it..😉...but the people and buzz about the place make up for it. ...I will be back..
I had the opportunity to stay at this place. I did not know the owner, but was recommended by one of her neighbors. I had a delightful time there. I used to live on a 7th floor in the city. So, the breeze (sometimes wicket winds), the light, the avenue noises and the comfort of the place makes me feel at home. It is a Casa Particular, so it is privately owned by an individual and it is authorized to be rented and taxed by the government. The place has a bedroom close to the corner of the apartment facing Calle 19 and I was in this one. It shares a full bathroom with the contiguous bedroom while the last bedroom is behind the kitchen with an independent full bathroom. All bedrooms have air conditioning, which it is not necessary in January. It is very clean and you have access to the kitchen and other common areas of the apartment. The elevator works so it leaves you at the apartment door for which you have a key. It also have access through a service stairs... Right now it should have a brand new elevator. The owner, Maria Eugenia is a wonderful person who accommodates you and helps answering all your questions. There is a person (a very efficient one. Her name is Miriam) who prepares breakfast if you request it the day before. Affordable (5 CUCs each), well done ( a variety of fruits depending on the season are available... and those are my favorite) and well presented. I highly recommend this place to anyone who wants to go to Havana and find its treasures by foot or taxi... This is a very safe neighborhood and the apartment is very independent...Check out the pictures...…
Together with some friends I spent New year and some more days in Havana. Our travel agency had booked Casa Esther, and we are so happy and grateful to have come to this wonderful Casa Particular! Esther was the perfect host and the others in the staff were the most lovely and helpful persons! My warmest recommendations 🌺💝🌺!
