As their business card says, this is a 'hostal' not a 'casa particular'. Lucy was distant and Ivan seemed most interested in making money - he offered to drive us to the bus station then charged us more than a taxi would have done. Breakfast, made and served by the maid, was excellent but although she was the friendliest person...

We had a beautiful room, clean, with airconditioning, private bathroom, frigidaire and a terrace overlooking the beautiful garden! The family is very friendly and helpfull. The location is perfect! It's only a few minutes walking to all the highlights!

The casa is 2 streets away from the city centre. The staff here was very nice. We ate there one night and the food was very good. The rooms we're clean and the large garden is relaxing for something to read in the afternoon. We could park our car in the garage. If you arrive there will be young boys...

We were referred to this casa as the one of our original reservation (Casa Caridad) turned out to have no vacancies. Both the female host and the housekeeping personnel didn't seem to be very interested and the room (on the ground floor) was rather outdated although clean. The main problem however was that the room only had shutters and no...

Spent unexpectedly (as the via "BB Inn Vinales" booked Casa Caridad didn´t hold the room, although we reconfirmed the reservation well in time) 1 night at this wonderful casa. Had the big and well furnished first floor room with a huge private terrace- great for relaxing! Good breakfast in a romantic downstairs patio. Downtown sights within easy walking distance. Quiet...

I stayed in the suite upstairs. It was great. It comes with a very comfortable queen size bed and two twins, a large sitting room, roof-top patio and separate bathroom. There is also a fridge and both 220 and 110 electric plugs for hairdryer, etc. The bathroom was better than the bathrooms in the hotels (and I stayed at some...

I've stayed and seen a few casas in Cuba, and Ivan and Lucy's casa was the best by far. The downstairs room I stayed in was clean, had a colonial feel with a few art deco touches here and there that made it quite cute. The bathroom could have been taken straight out of a house in the UK. I...

And perfect location. The room and garden is an oasis downtown within easy walking distance of the scenic and walkable downtown. Let Lucy and Ivan know what time you want breakfast in the beautiful garden. We were in the room on the top floor which has a queen size bed and 2 singles. It also has its own bathroom inc....

We totally enjoyed our stay here. We found Ivan and Lucy to be very warm and welcoming. Our bed was comfortable and the shower was hot! We had breakfast two times on their beautiful patio surrounded by exotic birds, plants and flowers. The staff was wonderful and the food delicious. My fried eggs were perfect and the fresh fruit --...

We wouldn't recommend this place. Not because we had anything to complain about, but because it felt more like a hotel than a casa, and that certainly isn't what we were looking for. As some reviewers have previously explained, there are maids working there.... actual maids. In outfit. It made us a bit uncomfortable: the owners were nice and everything...
