We are Tainos addicts. We know the resort has flaws, but return because of the staff. Since our first trip in 2009, we've encouraged anyone thinking of going to Varadero to stay here. After our trip this year, Nov. 10 - Dec. 1, 2016, I can no longer recommend this hotel. In fact I would be embarrassed to send any...

The good bit first: staff very friendly and helpful. Lovely gardens and pool area. Excellent pool. Next to a marvellous beach. Very good Japanese restaurant but can be booked only once a week. The not so good bit: Our room needed a big refurbishment. Our sheets had not been changed since previous guests. The bed was full and sand and...

Really mixed experience! Bungalow room spacious and recently partially refurbished. Maid service excellent - towels and bedding changed every day, together with delightful towel 'sculptures'. Stunning beach and good pool. Gardens really well kept. Hotel overall rather tired. Most staff try really hard and are very friendly - there are lots of them! The buffet was plentiful but none of...

First of all let me start by saying that we love Cuba and have been there for more than 10 times and we are not the kind who complain about the little things. This was the second time for us to stay at this resort. Obviously we liked it so much the first time we've decided to go back, but...

This is a fairly average hotel but the food is well below average. Keeping it brief...brussel sprouts taking centre stage in the breakfast buffet? We had to leave the hotel just to get some palatable food. The Cuban restaurant serves exactly what you can get at the buffet (with far less choice, obviously). When we asked for fries, instead of...
