When we visited it was under renovation so it wasn't worth the time to go see. Once done, the view is nice. Great way to burn some time, especially if you take the bus. Has a restaurant and a longe area. They don't let you tour the rooms for your 2 CUC.

This place is definitely showing its "Cuba" all over it... a once elegant mansion that is now crumbling. The staff was generally very nice and the sunsets are great. It is one of the only places on the strip that is not an all inclusive. Which is nice in a way... but also weird cause when you walk down the...

30's mansion turned into a boutique hotel. Real residential ambience. Patio overlooks the crashing waves of the Atlantic. Wonderful lunch of lobster and Chateaubriand. Not cheap but worth it. Arrived by classic car from Varadero to complete the experience.

The hotel is sumptuous, of course, but it's the staff that make it truly a special experience. We enjoyed sunset cocktails on the 2nd floor terrace, and sat with fellow travelers from several other countries. The mojito might be one of the best I've ever had.

Bartender at roof top was very pleasant . Nice place to reward the resort staff for a night out and or invite good Cuban friends. It was my fifth return visit to this Mansion. Nice place to visit but there are better restaurants in Varadero. Bring plenty of CUC's!!!

We visited Mansion Xanadu with our daughter occupying two rooms. The rooms were very grand and spacious - they must have looked absolutely fantastic when in their pomp. However its like they switched the lights out back in the 50's and switched them back on for us to visit. Our room had a magnificent view over the beach because the...

Loved the old Dupont family residence. Walked over here, right next to the Melia Las Americas hotel . It is located on the only 18 hole golf course in cuba. Beautiful place to sit and sip Mojitos and Caipirinhas. The drinks are excellent here. Go here for a great vibe.

Beautiful house and interior! We loved the room and balcony that looked out on the sea! Rooms were not very clean (hair and ash from cigarette on the floor. An old blood stain on the pillow sheet). Dinner was delicious (it's included in the price, except for the drinks - 4cuc for a glass of wine). Breakfast is also good....

Didn't stay at this hotel but visited for the experience and a drink in the 3rd floor bar. Well worth a visit for a couple of hours. The bar on the 3rd floor is stunning and serves a great gin & tonic. A very narrow, quirky little staircase takes you up instead of the old elevator. There was no-one else...

Absolutely amazing setting right at the seafront. Impeccable service. Best lobster i had in cuba. Good mojito. Extensive choice of wines. Very expensive for cuban standards. 140 cuc in total for two choosing the three course lobster menu with drinks and a couple of glasses of housewine. I recommend.
