We stayed for four nights in the apartment with an outdoor kitchen. I think the owners are focusing their efforts on the restaurant portion of the business, which seems to be effective since the restaurant is very good. Our accommodation was okay, but not great. Little details that would have made it better were overlooked. It could have been cleaner...

While on our honeymoon, we dropped into Landhuis Daniel for lunch one day on our drive back from climbing Mt. Christoffel and were very pleasantly surprised! The restaurant is very tropical, clean and has great food! We had a delicious Caribbean seafood soup, beef carpaccio and fish and chips. While eating we got to watch an iguana wander the garden...

What a jewel! We stumbled across the Landhuis Daniel after stopping for breakfast in February, 2014. Since that time, we have returned twice to stay (and dine) there, in April and May, 2014. Another trip is planned for the fall. For those who enjoy privacy in the midst of nature, Landhuis Daniel is just ten minutes west of Hato International...

3rd time to Curacao. Large group of divers. Love to eat out and heard Daniel's breakfast was something you can't miss. 1st year tried to catch him open twice- never did, 2nd year tried twice and was able to eat breakfast. It was amazing! This year we checked his website and decided to give it a try again. Drove up...

I stayed in this hotel a few years ago for a few days before meeting up with friends in Aruba. I thought it was a very nice hotel, I took a cab there since the hotel is a bit inland from the airport, but there were buses or one would have to rent a car. It was really cute with...

This is a nice restaurant setting, outdoor seating, near Barber on Curacao. We went one weekday evening without reservations based on reviews. It was not bad, but also not great. Very, very limited vegetarian options. We ended up going with salads and a cheese and mushroom fondue which was quite rich. One of the salads was very good and the...

This restaurant is in the country, so best to go if you’ve already rented a car. Taxis might cost more than your meal. Walking in to Daniel, you get the feeling that someone converted their patio into a restaurant. It has a homey vibe…but not in the best way. What the atmosphere lacks, the food makes up for. Everything we...

From the first moment I met the manager, Olga, I felt like I was being welcomed back like an old beloved friend even though i had known her only a few minutes. In a word, the food is incredible. Thoughtfully prepared, fresh, simple and yet very complex. Much of the salad items are grown on site by the owner, who...

Below is my review which was posted on another website 10 years ago (July 2002) on my first visit to Landhuis Daniel. Since I have been back to the hotel multiple times, I decided to move my review to Tripadvisor and update my experiences. "We stayed at Landhuis Daniel in July 2002. It was located in an area considered the...

I went there alone as a deaf person. They made calls for me, were very accommodating to my needs, and advised me where to go/do. I would definitely go back to the same hotel! Although, it is outside Oto/Pda, but I had a blast driving my rental car. It is also a private setting. They will give you the key,...
