Casa del Sol is perfectly situated in colonial Santo Domingo. It's just a short walk to the cathedral and good restaurants. They have a nice rooftop where you can sit and where (the good) breakfast is served. They don't serve drinks and snacks on the rooftop. However, there is a small liquor store just opposite. We bought a few bottles...

Pro`s : Well located. Con`s: Where do I start? We went there just for the night, and it was not a good one. First, we arrived, climbed the stairs to the second floor where the owner showed us our room and told us that we could pay the next day. Since we were in a hurry due to the fact...

Nice, classic hotel a couple blocks from Calle Conde, with a porch where you can sit and watch the bustle go by after exploring Zona Colonial in Santo Domingo. There is a very pretty park directly across the street and a little street cafe that opens in the evening on the other side. Emmanuel got us free parking a couple...

This place is similar to several others in the area, but is just quite a bit lower in price. It's clean, the rooms have AC and they offer free wifi. Breakfast is included and rich. It's served on the rooftop terrace which is very charming. The rooms are a bit small, but this is normal for the Zona Colonial in...

We booked 2 rooms. Mine, the double room for one person was small but perfectly adequate for someone who is only planning on sleeping and showering. There was no street noise but I could hear everything in the stairwell in the morning. My parents had the double room for two which was much bigger and had a private terrace looking...

This hotel is located in the colonial zone away from the busiest and noisy tourist areas but only a few blocks from all the best sites, restaurants, etc. The hotel is clean and very secure and has a lovely roof top area where a full made to order breakfast of fruit and eggs and toast is served.
