Rented a villa in the complex. Nice and quiet, good restaurant right outside the gate but the best thing was the golf course which is in terrific shape. The day we played the cost was under $50 and that included the cart. We rented a villa so I don't know about a hotel if there is one.

The complex has been taken over by Banco Popular after the Venezuelan part owners were thwarted in their attempts to make a go of it by a vulgar italian family . The apartments are quite reasonable but all the villas are so close to each other that one person in a building can almost shake hands with a person in...

Hastacuando, you sound like a guy that was more interested in bashing the owners and management of the resort rather than sticking to your observations of the golf course. Clever name "hastacuando" but I would lable you "hastaluego".

Immense improvement. New course owners and work is coming along nicely. Greens are back, tee boxes have new grass and now fairways are being handled. This course design by PB Dye is really good and once the course is complete, I expect play to increase. Villa are now under construction (4 that I saw), there's a nice Spanish restaurant just...

Rented a condo which was very nice. However, pool was green as it turned out the management couldn't be found. Elevator didn't work. Outside lights weren't working. No one knew why. No place for food as market and restaurant had closed down. Seems the place has become a ghost town.

You never see much advertisement but this place is amazing-Great food, golf and the condo's are the best. The service will capture your attention and if you lov caddies they are not expensive but will guide you to some great shots and golf.

This course is a sleeper. Beautifully maintained, this is interesting and fun gold. We rented a three BR condo which was perfect. Casa de campo is across the street at three times the price but it makes for a terrific golf outing: estancia, teeth of the dog, and dye fore.

This month the price is 90 dollars per person for a round on a terrific Pete Dye course. Compare to 185 in CdeC for hotel guests on Dye Fore or Teeth of the Dog or 350 for non guests. Caddy's are 25 dlrs plus tip. Also the restaurant is well worth lunch -- good wraps, pasta, etc. Excellent service.

I just came back from trip to La Romana. I stayed inside casa de campo. I played 2 rounds of golf at Casa de Campo, one round at La Estancia. If you want to play at a nice golf course, and not spend a lot of money, play la Estancia, you will not be dissapointed. It is only 10 minutes...

We stayed in Casa but went over to La Estancia for golf twice. The course is great and it's only $90 or $45 at twilight. They are building a hotel but they also have condos for sale and they are much cheaper than Casa de Campo condos. We liked the place so much that we bought on right on the...

ATTENTION ALL GOLFERS: the internet, travel agent and hotels do not have accurate info on golf..They want you to take their tours...but have your hotel call and book your tee time for you - The golfing was a great deal!!! Amazing and very beautiful course. Take a cab ($40 U.S.return) to the new and BEAUTIFUL - La Estancia Golf Club...
