This place is neither in the city of La Romana nor near the beach. You will need your own transportation or a taxi to get there. The place is not that easy to find, so if you are arriving at night, count on getting lost. I compare this place to a beautiful woman whose beautify is only outwardly. The hotel itself is beautiful, but the rooms are lacking, beds that have seen better days, non existant furniture and a bathroom that is too spacious for no apparent reason. The AC was not working properly and the wifi was spotty at best. We had a couple of maintenance issues when we were there, however, the staff did not seem to care much. As a matter of fact I don't think the staff cared at all, breakfast is not something that you would write home about, or any place for that matter. Eggs cooked to order, bread or cereal and that is about it. On the second day there we were there we were served spoiled milk, we were blessed that we didn't get sick. The attitude of the lady who gave us the milk made the experience bearable (she was very sorry and apologetic) The pool was dirty and had inconvenient hours. Having said all that, the question is: would I stay here again? Yes! I loved the quietness of the place, I would stay here again but remember, the price you pay is at par with the service you will receive. You will like the hotel grounds they beautiful. If and when I come back, I will with 0 expectations. and you should too. Things to consider if you decide to come: Transportation, place is in the middle of no where, bug spray lots and lots of bugs, maybe bring your own bed sheets as the ones they provided were very thin. Eat out, don't think the food is worth it nor is the service at the restaurant. I give this place a solid C- ( low, but a passing grade).

I came for an overnight stay at the hotel and found it to be a beautiful property with great front desk service and everything you need for all short stay. I would recommend it for business travelers, as it isn't within walking distance of any attractions. It is also good for people going to events in Altos de Chavon. Rooms are spacious and easily accessible, but the furniture is sparse and in need of a refit. I found that maintenance needs to be spruced up as my room's thermostat was broken and the bedside tables' lamps had bulbs in different hues, which is unpleasant. The hotel does have a restaurant with a reasonable selection and they offer a break buffet. The service at the restaurant is not up to par though. Friendly, but slow and orders get mixed up. All in all, I do recommend the hotel for short stays if you are in a the area.

Hello Sir Thank you so much for taking the time to write a review. We are all quite pleased that you have found our services acceptable. We take note on the little issues commented on our room and will correct them as quickly as possible. Having a car to stay with us it is always a convenience. But have in mind that we do offer transfer services to airports, we do have our own car rental agency on site, and we are really close to the main highway, so we do offer the convenience of being away but being connected! Once again, we sincerely appreciate your feedback.

The hotel is clean, bedroom were comfy, the people are nice but it is not in Bayahibe as advertised and in the middle of nowhere between Romana and Bayahibe whichs makes it totally distance from restaurants, beaches and night live. Again is nice to stay and rest not to have a fun weekend get away. .

I was there this weekend with some friends and some bad things happened. Let me start with the good things: I loved the views, be in contact with the nature the food at El Caracol Restaurant was Top of Tops. We were not addressed to our room after the check in, Tv did not work, rooms look like old and not well maintained and Staff Service is really but really terrible. Overall, I would never go back!.
