Where do I start? We came as guests but left as family. The word NO was not in their vocabulary. They bent over backwards to give us the experience of a lifetime. FACI, CARLOS T, CARLOS A and WINIFER were there to greet us and make sure that our stay was magical and at the Bamboo restaurant where the food was 5-star in every way ELI and JOJO were on hand to make up laugh and feel special and cared for. Drinks were amazing, food, top tier, service excellent, so much so that my friend and I decided that we'll be returning annually. Enjoy all this hidden gem has to offer...it won't disappoint. I have written only a handful of reviews, but felt compelled to write this account of my stay at Tortuga Bay. Few of my past vacations have delivered luxurious treatment from start to finish as I experienced in my short 5 day stay. Following are some of my observations: Arrival- A brilliant touch for Tortuga Bay is the VIP arrival. It really sets the tone for the rest of you trip. When you descend the stairs of your plane, you will be met by a representative of the VIP program and delivered to the VIP terminal where you will rest, and have a drink while you are cleared through customs and immigration, and your checked bags are retrieved (be sure to save your checked luggage tickets, as that is how they retrieve the luggage). You are then escorted to your Tortuga Bay transportation. For our driver, we were lucky enough to have Camacho for both arrival and departure. He is a wonderful representative of the resort, personable and informative on the short trip to the resort. Once you arrive, you are met by your villa manager, who will escort you to your villa and complete check-in. They also provided us with a golf cart for our use while we were there . We had Gerardo and Carlos as our villa managers. They can make any reservations that you need and are always available by a phone provided to you for that purpose. We utilized them several times, and they always delivered. Resort- The resort is a huge complex. Tortuga Bay is but one of the hotels in the complex, but certainly the most luxurious. It has its own private stretch of beach, a pool and restaurant (on Tortuga Bay property, but can be used by others , as well). There is golf, other restaurants, a spa a nature reserve and other activities available. We didn't explore the full reach of the complex on our short stay, but will range further on our next trip. Villas- We stayed in a two bedroom ground-floor villa, It was very roomy, spotlessly clean, with no signs of wear. It surpassed all of our needs. Daily Housekeeping- Ana and Berky were our housekeepers. They unobtrusively did their work and kept our villa spotless. Fitness Room-At the time of our stay, this room had to be reserved for your private use (make these reservations through your villa manager when you check in). The room is well equipped with stationary and recumbent bikes, a treadmill, stepper, and a weight machine, free weights and dumbbells. Spa-- My wife used the spa ( a short golf cart ride away) during our stay and said that she had the best deep tissue massage that she has ever had from Madelyn. We tried to secure her service again but she is quite busy. You should probably make reservations for spa times at your check-in, also. Food- We ate breakfast at Bamboo every day and had dinner there three times. We ate dinner at La Yola twice. We usually had lunch or a snack by the pool each day (the pool is located at the Bamboo restaurant and served by the same staff). The menu at both restaurants was diverse. Food preparation and presentation were perfect, and creative. The chefs are truly talented and are not limited in their creativity and desire to accommodate patrons' desires by the menu alone. We really left with a appreciation for their work. I should mention that there was enjoyable live music for dinner, each night that we were there, either at Bamboo or La Yola. There was also Dominican night on Monday, with Dominican dishes available and live music and vendors. Service- Is always "spot on" and performed in a personable and easy manner. At La Yola, Alcantara stood out. We must reserve our highest praise for the staff at Bamboo. We spent the most time with them, and they were unfailingly smiling and personable. They were justifiably proud of their resort and their role. They had me ordering my breakfasts in Spanish by the end of our stay. Their good humor was always present, and attentive to the client's needs. One small example is that my wife inquired at our first breakfast whether there was raisin toast. There was none, but Alcedo, our server, made note of it and for the rest of our stay, there was raisin toast. Speaking of Alcedo, he also provided enjoyable dinner entertainment with his saxophone during two nights of our stay, and then was there bright and early the next morning to serve us breakfast. We wondered if he slept at all. Alcedo represented the competence and "no boundaries" service performed by each member of the Bamboo staff. We had the pleasure to interact with Antonio, Elihu, Bianchi, Manuel, Jonathan, Rogelio and Beddey every day, either at meals or by the pool or bar. These people are gems, without whom a luxury experience wouldn't be possible. They are the heart of Tortuga Bay. To the prospective traveler, if you haven't tried Tortuga Bay, you are in for a treat. We stayed for 2 night on an ocean view villa. The view was expectacular and very confortable and modern rooms. You have everything you need and if something is missing you just have to ask for it. The staff is so nice and work very hard to make your stay so pleasant. We were assigned a golf cart and they also provided us with bikes. The restaurant in Tortuga Bay (Banbu) is deliciosus and fine. Thank you Tomy, Diana and Ciara. It was a very relaxing stay, few people (not crowded as other resorts) and superv staff.

All the staff wanted to do was please you, and make sure everything was "EXCELENTE". Everyone at the resort was so nice and helpful, but JOJO (at the beach) was beyond incredible, and his service was world class. We have visited many terrific resorts over the years, but no one has ever impressed us like JOJO, what a difference maker! Such a beautiful resort with a relaxed and informal atmosphere, which is not so easy to achieve.

Great location for a couples get away. Everyone is VERY friendly and they make you feel as you are part of their family. When you visit make sure you pass by the bar next to the pool and ask for Rocky and Yoseuris, you will probably stay longer just to hangout with them, great guys. I only have one complaint, is that their a/c inside they villas are weak and need to be replaced. We spoke with Blanca the general manager and she said it was be addressed. Regardless we will be back, because you can’t just go once, it’s the kind of place that you want to keep going back to.

Unreal resort right at the waterfront. The images already show a wonderful beach and apartment spaces, but what goes unnoticed and should deserve the biggest attention is the staff. They go above and beyond to fulfill your every wish and request, all while being extremely friendly and upbeat. This really brought our experience to the next level. 10/10 would recommend to anyone who seeks to retreat a few days into paradise.

My bestfriend and I took a trip to Tortuga Bay and it was so hard for us to leave after our time spent there. Each of the staff were so incredible- we got to know them very well and they not only knew english well but also taught us spanish, and we really enjoyed their company and elite service. This thank you is to Alcedo, Juan, Antonio, Joandy, Carlos, Luis, Elihu, Bianchi, and Yoseury and all the other amazing staff on property. they were so very welcoming, friendly, and made sure we always were taken care of. I immediately felt I had a home away from home! The resort is so tranquil and peaceful, it’s the best place to escape to if you’re looking for a very relaxing stay with gorgeous views. Our two bedroom villa was breathtaking and had oceanfront views. Our ambassadors kept in touch with us often, checking in to make sure we had all we wanted. It was so easy to make dining reservations and set up rounds at the local golf courses, Corales and La Cana Golf and Beach club. We will definitely back in the future!! Today, I arrived in Punta Cana at the beautiful Tortuga Bay resort villas, and all I can say is WOW!!! The VIP service through the airport and to the property was unmatched by any experience I have ever had. This place is absolutely gorgeous! Here are some pictures of my 2 bedroom ocean view villa and the surrounding landscape. One bedroom has a king-size bed, second has 2 full beds, and each opens up to the outside for natural air and tranquil sounds of the ocean. Both bedrooms have private bathrooms, and the common areas such as living, dining, and kitchenette are well decorated with a fully stocked mini bar. My room also comes with a golf cart and bicycles for transportation around the properties. There are a few waiters and staff that stuck out, such as Carlos, Antonio, Alcedo, Yoseluris, Tomy, and the wonderful Carlos Antonio, who made my last night even more memorable. Carlos Antonio had champaign and cake sent to my room for my birthday. I don't even think I ever mentioned my birthday and was so surprised when I walked into balloons and etc. I can't wait to return! This was our third stay and we will absolutely return again! Beautiful beach, never crowded. Top notch service at restaurants and beach front. Rooms very clean, beds supremely comfortable, and the view with the ocean breeze is second to none. Highly recommend taking the kayaks or paddle boards out. There are turtles in the bay, as the name would suggest! Don't miss the Ecological Reserve & the beautiful and refreshing fresh water lagoons.
