We first visited this Resort in 2016 and loved it. We managed to get back again at the beginning of the month. Some places disappoint on a second visit, the Kalinago certainly did not! Our ground floor room overlooking the beach was perfect. Breakfast in...More
Fantastic location right on Mourne Rouge Beach. Rooms fine and quite good size with sea view balcony. Nice ladies on reception. What’s lacking is effort and imagination - with it’s location and fabric it should be much better.
The swimming pool and bar should be...More
See my 2016 review as little has changed.
Still not enough light in rooms..... horrible. When I come back, I'm going to buy the strongest bulbs to replace. Again, other than the bathroom, lighting is useless.
Beach loungers are more plentiful but still run out...More
Had chicken stuffed with calaloo. Only place in Grenada, where bread was served with the meal. Nice choice of beverages at full bar. Make a reservation to sit on the veranda for a great view of Marne Rouge Beach.
Interesting smaller hotel on the Morne Rouge Bay, a delightful sheltered, quiet and protected stretch of water with a prostone sandy beach that knocks spots of Grand Anse. All rooms have a sea view and a big balcony - ours was huge, with high quality...More

The taxis are RIDICULOUS. It's $10-$14 USD each way to the market. Since it's about a mile each way (and up an incredibly steep hill) there's no way to walk it. I did find out there's a "bus" that might come to the hotel or meet you at the top of the hill if you can get the schedule. But it's all very unorganized so you should try to track it down before you get there.
The market also has a couple decent restaurants there including a really good Chinese one (generic but tasty). My recommendation is the island food just on the other side of the supermarket (can't recall the name). You go in and order a main dish along with a couple of sides for $6-$8 plus they have really good fresh made smoothies. I loved their fish.
