Stunning setting and fabulous food. Seafood platter at the beach bar is fantastic. All staff excellent and helpful. Stayed in a suite - these a are a short walk from the main hotel. Would be ideal for a family or two couples as they are very spacious with two bathrooms and a garden. Ideally hire a car and use this Hotel as a base to explore. Not really suitable for those with limited mobility as beach area is down a steep hill.

Everything about our experience at La Toubana was top of the line. The service was amazing. Marie at the concierge desk went above and beyond to make our trip so special. Our room was fabulous. We had our 8 year old daughter with us, and she was welcomed by all the staff, and had the time of her life. We will be back!

My wife and I visited La Toubana in April for a quick island getaway, and from start to finish, our stay exceeded our expectations. The only hotel of its calibre on the island,La Toubana exuded chic, effortlessly cast-away luxury at every step. You can tell this is a family run hotel from the personal touches you get a sense you are staying in a friends luxe beachside home. From the moment you arrive, the welcoming vibe creates an immediate sense of relaxation. The beach club was picture perfect and our room was quaint and cozy with a lovely sea view. Food and beverage was top notch at all of the hotel bars and restaurants. But like every hotel, it is the people that make or break the experience and La Toubana delivered once again. From Marie who arranged two fantastic tours with Jean-Denis, Louis and Michael at the pool bar, Charlotte at Le Grand Bleu, the entire La Plage staff, everyone was excellent. Thank you all for a much needed Guadeloupe experience we'll never forget.

Absolute heaven on earth. Everything is designed with the utmost concern for client experience. A very magical place where time stops and worries fly away. Highly recommend it. The view from the infinity pool is truly one of a kind.

My husband and I had a lovely, romantic stay at La Toubana! The resort is beautiful - it is on a cliff so there's a lot of stairs, ramps and steep walks! The photos on the website do not do the rooms any justice - we were in a partial sea view with a plunge pool. I would say it was a FULL sea view, large room with gorgeous decor and bathroom, HUGE outdoor and private seating area (uncovered for sun and covered for shade/rain) and the plunge pool was clean and amazing to have! The blackout shades were perfect, amenities in the room top notch - only complaint if you're a light sleeper is the late night noise coming from Club Med next door. The breakfast spread that's included is delicious....beach gorgeous and comfortable and beach service (for towels and drinks) was friendly and fast! This location was convenient for exploring Guadeloupe (DEF rent a car!), and we would definitely stay here again! My only complaints - the towels were a bit complicated with cards and swaps and holds placed on your room if not returned correctly; said towels were not left in the rooms with plunge pools, ,which would be a nice amenity to have; and we were very disappointed in the one dinner we had at the main restaurant (the weekend dinner hours for the beach restaurant are worth checking out - delicious and fun!). Also, we did see a few kids here but honestly, this is not a super family friendly resort and much more appropriate for adults, couples.

My wife and I stayed at the Hotel Tobana for six nights in February on the first leg of our Guadeloupe, Marie Galante and Martinique holiday. We arrived in the evening having flown from London via Paris. We received a warm welcome from the reception staff - check in was slick and after a brief orientation tour of the facilities we were in our ocean view bungalow. We had a very well-appointed room. There was a king sized bed provided with the standard duvet and pillows. It was a very comfortable bed with a supportive mattress. There were dark out curtains which did a good job in excluding the light from the sliding doors which led on to the terrace. Outside there was a double sun lounger and a hammock, as well as a table with two chairs for relaxing al fresco. The bottle of champagne which greeted us on the terrace was a very welcome treat and there were other gifts such as a straw hat and a hessian beach bag, as well as a sarong and a canvas bag. There was a safe in the storage area adjacent to the bathroom and complimentary waters and soft drinks in the fridge. It was helpful to have a kettle with a range of teas available as well as a Nespresso machine. We found the room to be rather warm, necessitating the lowering of the setting on the air conditioning so that we could sleep more comfortably. The bathroom was spacious with Italian designed fittings and separate shower. The multitude of towels were a little on the hard side - they were changed daily. There was plenty of hanging space for our clothes as well as drawers in a bedside cabinet and in the wardrobe. The bungalow was blissfully quiet - we heard no sound whatsoever from adjacent units. Breakfast was a varied buffet with a selection of cook-to-order options. We found it sufficiently varied to meet our needs. We also had a dinner on two nights - an interesting menu. The food was good, tending towards style rather than substance. Naturally it was considerably more expensive than other restaurants we ate at on our trips to various parts of Grande Terre. The hotel has a very attractive infinity pool and its own private beach, with sun loungers spaced out around the lagoon. There was a period whilst we were at the beach that we could hear the public address from the neighbouring hotel. It was quite intrusive but mercifully short lived. There is a steep paved slope down to the beach - quite a workout on our return to the main complex although I understand golf carts can be used to ferry guests up and down. There is a spa which we did not use - not our sort of thing. During our stay there were occasions where certain administration tasks were not carried out as effectively as we would have hoped. We had issues with a transfer to collect a hire car and there was confusion over our order for an early breakfast. Alarmingly I was charged a daily room rate for our stay, even though it had been pre-paid by our holiday tour operator. Thankfully it was refunded to my card promptly. We found the staff to be universally excellent in their roles - friendly and helpful. We were glad to have stayed in this modern and stylish hotel. Its location made it ideal for exploring Grande Terre’s many attractions by car.

We loved La Toubanna. We stayed for two weeks, half board. Our bungalow (no. 27 Pomme Liane) had everything that we needed including a large terrace with table, chairs, loungers and a daybed. We particularly liked the French food at dinner, but be prepared that it can easily take 2 hours. If you can afford to stay there, you probably won’t worry about the cost of the drinks and snacks. On arrival, you will need to pre-authorise €100 per day for drinks and snacks. Water is €7 per bottle, gin & tonic, pina colada etc. are €14. A cheese and meat snack (more than enough two people) is €28 and very good. Any requests or problems were dealt with kindly and quickly. The staff are brilliant without exception. The nearest town is St. Anne. It takes 30 minutes to walk there, but not recommended as there isn’t a footpath, only a very busy road. The hotel can arrange a taxi, but you may have to wait and it costs €20 each way. However at the bottom of the lane to the hotel, are buses you can take to St. Anne (€1.80), St Francois or even Pointe a Pierre. The tourist information office in St. Anne is very helpful. As fans of ‘Death in Paradise’ , we took a tour of the filming locations (mainly on Basse-terre) with Taina of Guadeloupe Explor. We also took a tour around Grande-terre and to the islet of Caret. The snorkelling around the rocks below the hotel is good. The paths are generally well lit, but I recommend that you take a torch. The holiday was perfect for us.

Lovely hotel great staff with the odd exception. Superb beach and great food. We were upgraded to a suite, but not convinced it was really an upgrade! The suites are some distance away and have a bedroom upstairs and kitchen lounge downstairs. To walk to the room is on a poorly laid steep gravel path. Very little lighting. Many suite guests drive to the main hotel or requested a lift. We slipped a few times but chose to walk. Not convinced the suites are good enough for 2 they are designed for 2 plus. And you can cook your own food. A little bit like self catering. The view from the bedroom is lovely. The restaurant is excellent the food is very rich. The beach bar also excellent. In the main the staff are excellent. I didn’t give it a 5 due to one member of staff not prepared to arrange drinks for us and told me to queue at the bar- I thought this was poor-this was on a Sunday when the hotel is open to visitors for a champagne brunch it gets very busy and noisy with queuing at the bar when all we wanted was a pre dinner drink. I queued and eventually got served. The other reason for not a 5 was the pathway. Overall very good. The views are fantastic.

Gorgeous hotel on beautiful Guadeloupe. If you are looking for an oasis with perfect ocean views and fantastic beach access, this is the perfect spot. Hotel services were great, including a great breakfast service and pool-side bar. Lunch is available near the ocean with a fresh and delicious menu. But dinner is even better at the hotel, with fantastic chef-driven meals. Marie is a fantastic concierge, who can help you organize your adventures off the property.

Very nice resort in a very nice place. This is the fourth time we have come to this residence and it is always nice to hang out. Great service and customer focus. Quiet location not far from the center of St Anne and close to one of the most beautiful beaches of Guadalupe (La Caravelle). Comfortable, large, tastefully decorated apartment
