The room smelled like dirty feet and the bathroom looked like it had not been cleaned very well. The restaurant was hosting some kind of private birthday party so we asked if it was still open for hotel guests and they said yes so we decided to eat there. They clearly forgot about us/ ignored us and dinner took a...

It's not often you have the opportunity to stay in a converted 20 ft container. I stayed in a double room (two containers wide) and was impressed with the conversion. Rooms are quiet, have decent bathrooms, and good storage closets and a desk. My room also had a convertible couch. I stayed here due to it's proximity to the airport....

It's a shipping container with a toilet, bed, and tv. It's a but pricey at the current rate of $80.00 for staying in a shoebox but for PAP, it's pretty top notch as far as a motel/hotel goes. The internet worked for me the last time I stayed and I did enjoy the pool, which is very nice. The restaurant...

This is the best stacked container hotel I have stayed in. Rooms vary in size between narrow spaces with basic furniture - to double-width rooms with a seating area - definitely worth the extra investment if you are staying a few days or longer. My bathroomroom had a broken shower head - and several bathroom fittings kept falling out of...

What not to like about the place? Staff are great, service is largely prompt. Yes, it's a container hotel- but hey, that's already a conversation piece, no? Rooms are spacious, clean and well-equipped. The restaurant service alone sets it apart from its competitors. The hotel guests are largely UN police who seemingly devote most of their day to working out...

I stayed in two different rooms on different trips. It's generally clean, though I saw a couple of little cockroaches in the first room, and in the second room, I couldn't get the shower to work so I did kind of a bucket shower. And internet was down. But it's safe and clean and there's a restaurant which is not...

Assembled from kits after the earthquake in 2010, this motel is tidy, well laid out and has an open air restaurant with good food, buffet breakfast daily, and occasional musical shows. It's an innovative approach to rebuilding hotel capacity quickly after the quake, and is very safe given the presence of the UN soldiers housed in some of the rooms....

Rooms were small but adequate with internet, TV, fridge, private bathroom with shower and more imporantly air conditioning. The on-premise restaraunt was okay and didn't cause any GI problems (yet, anyway).

I arrived in Haiti in May 2012 with the U.N. and have had nothing but a wonderful experience. The Caribbean Lodge was much more than what I could have ever expected. The facility has a restaurant, gym and conference room. The restaurant/bar has outstanding food and service. The staff, from top to the bottom, does everything to make your stay...

“Being such a unique place, with tiny rooms, it's best if you're traveling light. WiFi signal is weak on some blocks of rooms. Kids will love the pool, but families must request the larger rooms. Don't let the exposed plumbing, clearly visible on the walls, turn you off.”
