Highly recommended for those who like to travel a bit differently........ My husband and I (in our thirties) spend 4 days in Mavis Bank in the Blue mountain. We did not walk up to the peak and watch the beautiful view, instead we enjoyed mingling with the kind people of Mavis Bank! We were welcomed with open arms and a...

The place is not paradise. The cabins are as indicated - very simple. Just one naked lamp on the ceiling in the room as well as in the bathroom. Beds are comfortable. The cabin is clean. But thats about all thats positive. There was no warm water for a shower in the morning. When we arrived de were told that...

The property here is wonderful, lots of fruit trees and views of the mountains. Like previous reviews said it can get loud at night. Overall we found the service was disappointing, the main manager (can't remember her name) was very nice and helpful. However the rest of the staff acted like we were a burden to them. The food was...

This was our first flavour of Jamaican hospitality. It was a lovely place- complete with many hammocks- many cups of coffee as well as lots of beautiful scenery and the first viewing we had of the Jamaican national bird:-) I'm not a bird watcher but they really are beautiful. The Jablum coffee factory was literally a stones throw away and...

We stayed here on the recommendation of a friend, but at the end of the day I came away slightly disappointed and felt we'd have done better to return to a competing establishment we'd stayed at before. On the plus side, the building and the gardens/farm are very pleasant. If you like the idea of a double size jacuzzi bath...

My friend and I stayed one night and the following morning our guide Shanique gave us a guided tour around the coffee plantation. I learnt so much about coffee and the different species of birds, Shanique not only knew all the species of birds but could tell us which ones were there by their bird song, the trip was amazing....

My overall rating for this hotel is somewhere between poor and average. Forres Park is set amidst flowers, trees, shrubs and, yes there are lots of birds about. It's a very pretty setting. The biggest problem with this hotel is the amount of noise from passing lorries, cars, motor bikes, children at school etc - I know this is completely...

This is an amazingly beautiful place! Its under the Blue Mountain, up in the mountains above Kingston. Its only about forty-five minutes outside of Kingston, so as Jamaican destinations go, its much closer to Norman Manley Airport and Kingston that the north coast beach resorts (unless you fly into Montego Bay and just stay there). Its also cooler up in...

We had such a wonderful time in Mavis Bank! Nicolette, Shanique and Leonor were very attentive to us, they even worried for us when we decided to get out in town and got back to the hotel ... Five hours later! Our room was a bit small but it met our requirements anyway! The property itself is spectacular and don't...
