This was the first hotel on our 2 week trek through Jamaica. Straight from the plane from Europe with children. It's a small place in an environment without much else. The hotel does have a pool and a small beach. The rooms are ok, clean and with airco (some rooms have better aircos then others so if possible check before... More

My room was comfortable colorful and the view was breathtaking The management and staff made me feel like family I stayed for 12 luxurious days and nights. There are eating facilities within walking distance. There was a private pool along with access to the beach. I am looking forward to my return visit. I plan to stay at the Royal... More

My wife & I stayed 4 nights in Feb 2014. The place was exactly as shown in the pictures. The whole place was clean & neat. The staff were very friendly. Rooms were nice & everything worked. Wifi was great. Beach was great. The included breakfast was very good. Realize that there isn't much within walking distance as this is... More

Stayed at Royal Reef for Jazz & Blues Festival and it was the perfect location. The staff were lovely and they went the extra mile for guests ie breakfast was extended to noon so that those back late from concert didn't have to get up early! Room was basic but clean, a/c worked etc. Definitely going back next year.

This was the most incredible (and not in a good way) hotel experience I have ever had. My wife and I arrived at this property on December 25th only to discover it was completely empty with the exception of one young caretaker/front desk clerk. It took us a few minutes to realize this as we were taken to our room... More

In Greenwood, on the border of St. James and Trelawny, hometown of the lightning Bolt himself, Mr. Usain, there sits a locus of peace, quiet, and relaxation. As you walk through the front door, the Royal Reef Hotel invites guests to put down their bags and leave their worries behind. Judith greets you with a wonderful smile and every detail... More

There were only two dishes I could recommend in Jamaica: ice cream at the Devon House, in Kingston, and curried goat - wherever they prepare it well. I do love spicy food but it no longer agrees with me; consequently, most of the fare on the island is taboo for me. I am also allergic to Jamaica's 'Known Name' resorts.... More

I have recently stayed just after Xmas holidays at the newly renovated Royal Reef Hotel. The place is run by a lovely Italian guy and therefore he has opened in the hotel space a great Italian restaurant, named Corallo, partnering with a young chef from Milan. The food was delicious, well presented and very affordable and everyone was very helpful.... More
