One year ago TODAY, my husband and I renewed our wedding vows at the Royal Plantation. It was our 25th wedding anniversary! I am JUST NOW coming down from the clouds from our experience at this "Heaven on Earth" resort!
I cannot even BEGIN to...More
I had to sit down to write about what an incredible experience I had at the Royal. The water was like nothing I've ever experienced and of course the hotel is spectacular with all rooms having an ocean view. The common areas were graciously appointed...More
Our vacation was unbelievable. While I read all of the reviews on Trip Advisor, our 4 1/2 days from August 4th -August 8th exceeded all of our expectations. From the accommodations, to the service to the food, everything was perfect. The chocolate souffle in the...More
1. Private Car to hotel is a big plus over the 'taxi buses'
2. All of the staff were accomodating and several felt like old friends after just a couple of days.
3. Relaxation is the name of the game here. You move at whatever...More
We have recently returned from a two week stay at the Royal Plantation. Over the past 15 years we have been lucky enough to take two or three long distance holidays a year and have stayed at many of the World’s top hotels. We ‘discovered’...More

Chanda, RP is a great place for you. We are 65. We just went there in June. Marvelous time. The staff is so friendly. A quiet laid back resort. Wanna kick it up a notch? Go next door or across the street to the other 2 Sandals resorts. Both are accessible by shuttle from RP. You can't walk to either. Used to be able to walk on the beach to the resort next door. They put up a big fence. You can go to their resorts, they can't come to yours, so it stays pretty quiet. A fun golf course with caddy is a good day if you like golf. Hire a private driver (like the one that brings you to RP from the airport) if you want to seem some "off the beaten path" sites. They also have private drivers available thru RP. I haven't used them so I don't know much about them, but, IF you do use them, be aware you may have several people with you. Not sure though. Check at the front desk for the things going on next door and across the street. They have pool parties across the street and beach drinking parties next door. Don't have to participate, but still fun watching. There is a fun little place across the street called the Rabbit Hole. Kind of fun. Get there early, the seating is limited as the night goes on. As far as RP goes...you won't be disappointed. BTW, the have 2 little beaches. The one to the right as you come out towards the pool seems to be a little more private. But both are perfect if you want to lay in the sun or under an umbrella. They have all kinds of water sports things to try out. For grins, ask for "Fresh Prince". A fun server (like most all of them) Your butlers can help you with reservations to other restarurants at the other 2 ressorts. Italian, French, Asian. Just ask, the butlers are really great. I almost guarantee you will make RP the resort by which you compare the rest. If you have any other questions, ask away. Have fun...WE DID!!!

Absolutely!!!! My husband and I are not party people either (early 40s). So relaxing and quiet at Royal Plantation! You could always take the free shuttle service over to Ochi resort for a “party “ experience if you wanted to (very loud and busy there). We just got back home and will plan to visit again soon. Book it!
