I spent the last 3 nights in Jamaica here after being on the road for 5 days. I was really pleased with this site and would definitely go back. The staff was very responsive and sweet. Plenty of clean towels but we asked them not to change the bedding every day to save water etc. We enjoyed the breakfast in...

Glad that you enjoy yourself at Gardenia and both Manager and staff was grateful that you took the time to spend your vacation with us and hope to see you again. All that was mention that was needed to improve the room is being consider and maybe in place by the time you come back at Gardenia. Thanks, Richard Miller.

I'd like to think I am a very reasonable person. I am by no means picky. I frequent Jamaica often, 2-4 times a year and have stayed in accommodations from 4&5 stars to rooms with no TV or internet and in the middle of nowhere. I will say if it weren't for the tolerant and patient staff I would have...

Nice pool!! Helpful staff, safe! The manager is amazing and most accommodating. Beds are amazingly comfy, rooms clean. Sister arrangement with Sea Wind is great - super staff and restaurant also. Will return soon!!!

I stayed here Feb 20-24. The room were so outdated. There was no running hot water. I think i got hot water on my last day of stay there. The food was not good. They only had a selection of a Jamaican breakfast and that's it. I would suggest leaving the hotel to get some variety. The only good thing...

I stayed at the Gardenia for a week on my own. I wasn't really sure what to expect but I'm glad to say I was very pleasantly surprised. I arrived late after 12 hours of travelling and was shown to my room, which was on the first floor (I was given a choice of a ground floor or first floor...

At US$100/- a night, I had expected more. Rooms are dated and the bathroom has this awful smell that you had to bear with it each morning and night. We tried to spend as little time in the room as possible. It would be nice to have a nice room to just unwind after the day. I would also not...

I'm usually an easy going person when it comes to budget hotels. However the Gardenia is a poor place to stay. I actually gave them a chance because I saw them on the Travel Channel on the show "Hotel Impossible " (their episode by the way is available on the Travel Channel website). I made my reservation on the hotel's...

I went to Negril for Valentines and decided to stay across from the beach instead of on the beach. I was somewhat familiar with Gardenia location but didnt know the property. I was originally going to be in a refurb room in the back but since I was alone opted to stay upstairs by the pool for safety. My room...

My wife and I were overall satisfied with our stay here. I recommend this hotel for travelers who want to see Negril and are on a budget. The hotel staff were friendly and the beach accessible if you're not shy about wandering across neighboring hotels' properties. Because it is located across the street from the beach the nightly rate is...

If you like the extravagance of all-inclusive or the efficiency of three or four star American hotels, please do not come to this hotel. You will be disappointed and will be complaining. But if you can lower your expectations and get used to the local pace, you may actually enjoy it. I won't say this is for everyone. It is...
