Many have tried to copy The Caves. All have failed. The location, rooms and staff make it a dream. All inclusive was invented here. I was drinking only Red Stripe on the first and second day. The second evening when I got back to my room my, fridge was filled with nothing but Red Stripe and 2 waters. The rooms... More

My wife and I went to The Caves for a break from the hectic pace of life in January/February . This is our second visit, and hopefully not our last. The pictures on the website do not lie-this is one of the most beautiful places that we have ever stayed-with the cliff top location being secluded and relaxing. The pace... More

This has been on my bucket list for years. It did not disappoint. It is a very unique boutique hotel. The snorkeling is superb. The employees were wonderful. It is very relaxing and romantic. We did the couples massage in the cave and it was amazing! The cave dinner was also wonderful (though it would be very hot in the... More

I just got married at the Caves (ok, technically the wedding ceremony was in a church in Negril), and naturally have some thoughts. We did a full property booking for 4 nights, and had guests staying for between 4 and 6 nights. The reception, rehearsal dinner, and other activities were also held on property. So first things first - if... More

I read tons of reviews before finally settling on the Caves. The Caves was everything I had hoped it would be and more. The resort is small, which we loved. We wanted to relax and didn't want a ton of people around us at all times. We met some really wonderful couples to talk to and hang with while there.... More

Where do I even begin?! This place was absolutely amazing and blew our expectations away! Everyone is extremely friendly and gets to know you on a firsthand basis. Big ups to Paul for making the trip extra exciting with snorkeling and cliff diving. We stayed in Sea Turtle which was excellent and right on the water - literally open the... More

The review from Joseph N on 9/22/2016 covered a lot of it as far as food, drinks and atmosphere. This was our first trip to Jamaica and chose the Caves because it was small, all inclusive, no children under 16 with a lot to offer! Kayaking and snorkeling are included.. on your own or guided by Paul or Clive who... More

One of the best places I have ever stayed. I personally didn't care for the first room we were put in (One Drop). We saw 1 roach during the welcome walk-thru which the staff took care of immediately. But then that evening, another ran across the foot of my bed. We told the staff about it and they put us... More

We visited the caves at the end of August/Early September for our honeymoon. This place is just fantastic. We've never been to a place with nicer people - they really go out of their way to take care of you. Few things: - Paul - without this guy we wouldn't have had as good of a time. From his crazy... Official Description (provided by the hotel)
The Caves sits along the limestone cliffs of the West End of Negril, right next to the famous Negril Lighthouse in Jamaica. Although situated only a few miles away from the bustling town center, this private enclave is a world apart. Eleven handcrafted wood and stone thatched-roof cottages, plus a 4-bedroom fully self-contained luxury villa, are interwoven between ten acres of lush vegetation and naturally formed volcanic caves. Quaint stone pathways wind through the limestone cliffs dotted with palm, sea grape and dogwood trees overlooking the Caribbean Sea. An arrangement of coral stairs and walkways lead to sundecks with uninterrupted views of the sea and sky, and grottos with turquoise water pools and fossilized marine life. A tropical reef system comes right up to the edge of the cliff, perfect for snorkeling. Guests can climb down ladders into the sea or take a leap from several “jump points,” the highest of which is 30 feet! An intimate, private and unique resort, The Caves is perfect for romance and relaxation. The Caves generally does not accept children under 16 years old. Exceptions must be cleared with the hotel management. ... more   less
