I didn't think all the reviews could possibly be true. How could a place be this great? After 6 days in December 2011, we are believers. Definitely read through all the reviews as they give lots of great information. I agree that this place is amazing. I will focus on those areas that I had questions on prior to our...

We spent a few nights at the Caves in December and really enjoyed our stay. The property is very small, only about 11 suites, which is one of the main reasons we chose to stay here. We enjoy privacy, great food and wine and excellent service during our trips! The staff are all very friendly and go out of their...

Part of me doesn’t want to give the Caves a positive review. My concern is too many people will find out about this amazing resort and it will be impossible for me to book a room in the future. I have to give the resort its proper respect. If you’re looking for a quiet, romantic, private, unique resort with amazing...

We had a great time at the Caves. service was wonderful and location is spectacular. Had the best massage ever at the spa and returned the next day for one in the water side cave. Unforgettable. Food was decent but forgettable in my honest opinion. Only other thing that was not awesome is that we had to move rooms half...

My daughter had originally booked an all-inclusive well known hotel in Negril, but after making a trip prior to the scheduled wedding, she found "The Caves" and opted to pay extra to have the wedding reception there. All guests stayed at the original destination which was very good overall but could not compare to the ultimate dream location of "The...

I won't repeat all the true and good things you've read about this resort. Here's my summary: Best - the spa treatments, the personal service and friendly staff, the snorkeling excursions Better - the food, rum cocktails, exclusive use of the resort and ameneties Worse - the outdated bathroom Overall this was an excellent resort. No crowds, personalized and exclusive...

I don't know where to begin when talking about The Caves. My wife and I were lucky enough to spend a week here and it was incredible from beginning to end. After reading all the reviews I would say our expectation level was through the roof. After the first hour there I knew what everyone had been raving about and...

Can I move in? I will work for room and board?!?!?!? What a unique experience and the ultimate dream vacation spot. From the time we stepped foot on the property we were at ease. My husband and I stayed for three nights over Thanksgiving with my parents. The property is nestled in the cliffs and above ocean caves in Negril,...

My husband and I have just returned from a long weekend at The Caves and we are still marveling at the experience. In the past 3 years, we have been blessed to visit Italy, Paris, England, Barbados, China, Spain, Portugal, and while we LOVED many of the experiences and the hotels, NONE come close to The Caves. We thought that...

Highly, highly recommend this property for a unique experience. Spent 3 nights with spouse and newly wed daughter and son-in-law. This was our first trip to Negril. The property is rustic but very will kept. Rooms and common areas kept spotless. Situated along 2 acres of fossil cliffs (approx. 30 ft up) designed to provide spectacular ocean & sunset views...

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
The Caves sits along the limestone cliffs of the West End of Negril, right next to the famous Negril Lighthouse in Jamaica. Although situated only a few miles away from the bustling town center, this private enclave is a world apart. Eleven handcrafted wood and stone thatched-roof cottages, plus a 4-bedroom fully self-contained luxury villa, are interwoven between ten acres of lush vegetation and naturally formed volcanic caves. Quaint stone pathways wind through the limestone cliffs dotted with palm, sea grape and dogwood trees overlooking the Caribbean Sea. An arrangement of coral stairs and walkways lead to sundecks with uninterrupted views of the sea and sky, and grottos with turquoise water pools and fossilized marine life. A tropical reef system comes right up to the edge of the cliff, perfect for snorkeling. Guests can climb down ladders into the sea or take a leap from several “jump points,” the highest of which is 30 feet! An intimate, private and unique resort, The Caves is perfect for romance and relaxation. The Caves generally does not accept children under 16 years old. Exceptions must be cleared with the hotel management. ... more   less
