I stayed at the Caves in January 2010. First the positives; the caves is a magical, breathtaking, organic resort. The food was top notch and the service was of the highest standards. The negatives: first and foremost, the Caves is not for everyone. Being an active person, I had a hard time spending my days. The room (one drop) was...

We are so sorry to hear about your experience at The Caves in January of this year with regard to the issue you had with your room, One Drop. As we pride ourselves on the top level cleanliness of the rooms, and of the entire property. We send our Housekeeper's on regular hospitality training, and we conduct daily briefings with...

We got married in Negril at Beaches, & went to the Caves for our honeymoon. We couldn't have been happier. It was an adjustment going from the big resort with so much to do to such a romantic, quiet resort, (where doing very little was encouraged!) but it was perfect. The best way I can describe it is it felt...

We have just returned from a wonderful week at the caves. As has gone before expectations were high, and we have high standards, all were exceeded. The most fabulous place we have been to. We stayed in the blue hole, which we loved. The staff are amazing, the food delicious, great to have no menus and a chef who takes...

Let's start with the absolutely amazing! Each morning I pushed open my wood shutters and could see the ocean and each night the sunset. When I wanted to go swimming, I walked out my door, took about 15 steps and jumped off a cliff in to crystal clear water. The location is a perfect place to disconnect. The service was...

I stayed at The Caves for a few days in May of this year with a friend of mine. We only had time for a mini-break and wanted somewhere not too far from home but definitely somewhere outside of the US. We settled on The Caves as we both wanted a tropical, sun-filled vacation but HATE beach vacations where you...

The Caves is aptly named as the resort sits atop some of Jamaicas' most beautiful coastline dotted with natural and wonderous caves where the jagged cliffs meet the 80 degree crystal clear Carrabean. There is a Cigar Bar Cave and two dining caves where the staff serve just you and your partner a lovely dinner by the light of a...

I stayed at the CAVES the end of October. The facility and rooms are delightful and the staff are friendly and very attentive . However, the food was mediocre. I have traveled around the world including many of the Carribean islands and can tell you the food just wasnt up to par. Iceburg lettuce with salads??? White bread toasted on...

We traveled from Australia (about 26 hours) so I had my fingers crossed that the resort would live up to its reviews and our expectations. Thankfully it exceeded them! The Caves is a 90-minute scenic drive along the coast from Montego Bay and is situated along a gorgeous section of Negril’s cliffs. The road trip was single lane the whole...

I refuse to believe that my stay at the Caves can be out done by any other location in Jamaica. My experience at The Caves was magical. I felt like I was in a dream my entire stay. The staff was extremely professional and yet personable. We were treated like Kings and Queens. They showed my family much love, patience,...

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
The Caves sits along the limestone cliffs of the West End of Negril, right next to the famous Negril Lighthouse in Jamaica. Although situated only a few miles away from the bustling town center, this private enclave is a world apart. Eleven handcrafted wood and stone thatched-roof cottages, plus a 4-bedroom fully self-contained luxury villa, are interwoven between ten acres of lush vegetation and naturally formed volcanic caves. Quaint stone pathways wind through the limestone cliffs dotted with palm, sea grape and dogwood trees overlooking the Caribbean Sea. An arrangement of coral stairs and walkways lead to sundecks with uninterrupted views of the sea and sky, and grottos with turquoise water pools and fossilized marine life. A tropical reef system comes right up to the edge of the cliff, perfect for snorkeling. Guests can climb down ladders into the sea or take a leap from several “jump points,” the highest of which is 30 feet! An intimate, private and unique resort, The Caves is perfect for romance and relaxation. The Caves generally does not accept children under 16 years old. Exceptions must be cleared with the hotel management. ... more   less
