My husband I have just returned from a wonderful trip to Negril to Riu Palace Tropical Bay. We were there for two weeks and enjoyed it tremendously. The staff were friendly, the food was great with something for everyone. The weather was wonderful with a few showers nothing to keep us out off the ocean, The ocean bottom is sandy... More

Just traveled to riu palace tropical bay with 10 girlfriends. We had a great trip. The rooms were fine, nothing fancy, but clean and large. The beach and water were perfect. Clean beach, warm and turquoise water. Traveling reggae "bands" were a lot of fun. The food was very good. Steamed milk in the coffee was a big hit, the... More

The staff at RIU Palace Tropical Bay were sincerely nice and helpful. I lost my room key in the water and it was no problem to replace it immediately. Also, I locked myself out of my safe and again the manager was right on the spot to help. Food, cleanliness, entertainment all excellent with beautiful beach and bay.

Just enjoyed a great getaway with my husband and another couple. Drinks: Good - full of rum! Food: Very tasty! Breakfast - French croissants off buffet were my favorite. Lunch - Jerk chicken from hut is best, plus nachos from buffet. Dinner - Buffet - I enjoyed the fish, chicken, fresh fruits and "fried" ice cream. Japanese - Seafood broth... More

I was part of a group of 11 women who visited Negril January 2-5, 2012. The resort fit our needs perfectly, but it was not the most magnificent place to stay. The common areas (lobby, restaurants, bars, club, pool, beach) were well maintained and clean. The lobby had very strong wi-fi. We liked how the two main restaurants were open... More

This place just wasn't good enough for a return visit. The room was average, a little dated and just worn. Unfortunately, the food at the buffet was more satisfactory than the restaurants so that was a disappointment. In fact, our meal at the outdoor steakhouse was inedible (grossly overcooked), so we ended up back at the buffet that night. The... More

This was our first trip to Jamaica. We thought about Aruba, Puerto Rico and Mexico but decided on Jamaica. We were a little concerned about the crime we had heard about but decided to go for it and just be careful. After five days in Jamaica we felt as safe as we do at home and never once experienced or... More
