Without any hesitation, and comparing it with The Sirenuse in Positano, can I say that The Gallery Inn is my favorite hotel, period. I have stayed there 3 times and each time I am overwhelmed by its natural beauty, Spanish colonial charm and warm staff. Although it is not beachfront, the views down to the Atlantic are stunning. The hotel...

This may not be for everyone. The owner is an artist and collected items for this hotel for 50 years. She put together six 1730 houses in Old San Juan. This hotel is a destination in it's self. Birds all over the courtyard and Parrots loose in the hotel. The hotel weaves and wonders all over the place with items...

This place exceeded all of my expectations. It had culture, decor, and people that I didn't even know I needed in my life. Seriously, huge thank you to Jan, Peter and all the girls. I will be back asap!

My boyfriend and I went to Old San Juan after a week in Rincon. We fell in love immediately! The was room was as had expected with the antique furniture. The service was great! Unfortunately San Juan was experiencing a bad storm with 20 foot swells so leaving the hotel at night was difficult. Luckily Uber was available so we...

Booked in for a total of 7 nights but stayed only the 6 due to last night miserable. Rustic and artsy place but not good for longer than 2 days to stay at most to enjoy. If you like hot showers, don't count on getting one here. A good night sleep? Nope, her birds will keep you up (she has...

We loved the look of the hotel at first glance. The public areas are very cool, and the atmosphere is relaxed. But the rooms are really dirty and bathrooms totally outdated. I tried to take a shower (at 7 in the morning) and there was no warmwater left. Our friends were on their honeymoon, and had booked a double bed....

Is it charming? Yes. There are lovely sculpture gardens, water fountains (though, as my son pointed out, the tubing mechanisms for the fountains are visible and rather ugly), art everywhere, and fascinating niches. You can have a drink on the rooftop and soak in the glorious views. But there are two major things preventing me from joining in on the...

The Gallery Inn is rich, textured and unexpected..We are two creative professionals and were looking for a unique backdrop for our wedding, and found just that. We decided to plan our private wedding (just the two of us) here, sight unseen, and had no idea to expect but it turned out to be such a beautiful experience for us. We...

Really one of the two best hotels i ever stayed in. Situated in old San Juan close to everything. This place is one and only! You feel that you live in another century. The paintings and the sculptures are works of the owners and really respectful! The rooms are all in the same rustic style but everyone has its character....
