I was woken up every morning of my stay by the hotel staff, either a maintenance guy with a radio on full blast or cleaning crew eating their breakfast and chatting outside my door. Like 8am. Can’t get a coffee, the cafe is closed, they take coffee from breakfast area as soon as they can after breakfast (10:30) I mean, why? They don’t change the sheets or towels. Usual covid excuses. This is a tired hotel with staff who don’t care, ticking along only due to the cruise ship business they get with their proximity to the port.

The room was fine for a good nights sleep. It is an old hotel with older decor and stucco walls but very convenient to Royal Caribbeans cruise terminal since it’s just across the street. Also next to Senor Frogs. They provided 2 bottles of water for in room coffee as well as bathroom amenities. Uber from the airport was 16.92 without the tip.

Location was close to everything. Good restaurants, shopping and seeing old buildings and the culture. Upgraded our room to a suite overlooking the Port. Huge Room. Good bed, Housekeeping was great. Plenty of towels, coffee and even extra waters if you ask .Breakfast was very good and prices were fair. Special thanks to Pedro for helping us out on what to see and where to go. Hotel is not 5 star furniture or really modern but very clean and beautiful architecture. Friendly staff and helpful

My sisters and l checked in the Sheraton Old San Juan for my birthday. From the moment we entered the hotel John (Jonathan) made us feel welcome. His service was spectacular and he answered all our questions. I had an issue accessing my email to go on an excursion, he offered to look up the email. When he couldn’t, he suggested we contact the booking company and later that evening, he asked if our excursion went well. He offered assistance, made recommendations and followed up, basically checking all the perfect customer service boxes. He was mannerly and friendly, but his service exceeded expectations which made my birthday experience all the more enjoyable. Thank you John! ~ Rose A

To whom it may concern, My experience at the Sheraton old san Juan, were extraordinary, sure there where somethings can make an avid traveler raise a brow in concern or question but other than that I digress, Id like to point out some of the eyebrow raisers first; The Pool, could use an Update, its an ok pool, a tad on the basic, but it got the job done of a good soak, the Lobby Bar staff could stand to be just a smidge friendlier, I'm not expecting full on conversations with the guest, but a few more smiles could be appreciated. The room that i was in accommodated my needs for rest, since I wasn't really all day in there, however a view could and would be appreciated regarding the price i payed even by a third party, i used a offer called "Gustazo" perhaps a third party not really sure but other than that all good. Parking was a tad of an inconvenience, since the voucher is required, however manageable and affordable. Some, not all since ill give praise to whom deserves it, of the hotel staff, are perhaps a bit rude, the Restaurant Hostess has got to be at the front and center of this, dare i say rude and vehemently in hospitable, i would ask for a manager but she would act like she is the law, jury, judge and executioner, Ive asked for a seat at the terrance and she would deny my request, even though it was empty. Now to THE Pros of the stays, and the parts that will keep me coming back to the lovely hotel and even better island. Joseph on the bell, was oh so amazing, very Knowledgeable when it came to taxi and ultimate car rentals since i ended up renting a car. The Concierge Shelimur, hope i wrote that ok, was amazing over the phone, answered all our questions with patience and warmth on her voice and although its part of her job description to be HOSPITABLE, her warmth and attention was evident from the get. Then there was Johnathan, I believe he was the supervisor for Shelimur, again i hope i got her name correct, Had some lovely Recommendations, not only to where to Go to eat and where to go to have a it more of a touristic approach to the island and even better night time fun, he basically became The Judge,Jury and Executioner as too where I go would go, I basically had a " if Johnathan doesn't approve, I don't go.", Welcome Drinks, Allowed us to check out a tad later, stored our bags for us while we went to grab our first bite to eat, Mofongoes, are my new favorite thing, truly an example on hoteliers and front desk agents everywhere. So yeah, Overall, i would love to comeback, as many times to delight myself in the island, and with the lovely people whom took their job SERIOUSLY, Great timesaver all Lovely Places in House and on the Island, I hope Main lands Sheraton can measure up but ultimately i now know they won't.
